Thanks for the update! My wife and I just made our first pepperpot yesterday (after depending on family members to make it for us). Your lamb pepperpot video helped us out a great deal. Glad to see you address the challenge of it being too oily in the beginning. We did it the old fashioned way by scooping the oil off the top, but your technique is much more efficient. Thanks again; we were glad to subscribe and will be supporting you going forward.
Very well done demonstration. What you said in the beginning about draining the juices is important advice, I don't think many ppl even think about doing that, so Kudos to you.👍
Hi Matthew, happy holidays to you and your family. Nice job as usual, I usually cook it the same way, only difference is I put some cloves and basil. Good bless and stay safe. Hope Santa is good to you. 🎄
Thank you for this recipe! I made it and it was fantastic! I also modified the recipe for my sister who is vegan and used seitan tips. It came out perfectly 🤗. I did the bread as well. It was my first time making bread and it came out perfectly. Is just like my mothers. My family is super impressed! So glad I discovered you on Instagram. Thanks for all the tips. Do you make pine tart and salads??
Hi Matt, Not going to comment on your recipe this time. My comment is that I realize that there is a lot of beautiful women in your family. Also I notice one of your aunt is lefthanded, as well as you. As a viewer of your channel, I am also lefthanded as well. Be proud of who you are, and stay humble.
Thank you so much for your help & recipe! This will be my first time making Pepper Pot, although I've been following your channel for sometime. I made your soft, oil rotis and my husband said they tasted just like back home! 🇬🇾
Hello Mathew, What if we have everything else to make this dish but not the orange peel? Would that be an issue or undermine the flavours? Thank you in advance.
Yes you can steam the meat and brown it then toss in the slow cooker with everything. The brown bits at the bottom on the pot, just deglaze the pan with some water and then toss that in the slow cooker too.
How can you say its delicious, if you don’t eat it , you can’t personally know it even taste good ? I’m sure it does cus that a traditional way to make it but just curious?

Very well done, a little tip is that you can also add salted beef and pigtail which gives it a beautiful flavour and you can omit the salt.
Oh I never thought of that. Thanks for sharing
Good job Matthew
Thank you!
Looks good. I’m just about to start mine.
Enjoy! Happy Holidays
This looks delicious! My mom made pepperpot and baked bread yesterday and I can’t wait to indulge tomorrow morning. Thanks for sharing 🙂

What brand of casareep do you recommend?
I usually use homemade casareep from Guyana. Or Soogrims or Bedessee

This is simple
Yes so simple

Love your channel. Respect for not eating beef for religious purpose. But did I hear you say you tasted the gravy?
Should have phrased it my family tasted it for salt and seasonings. I didn't partake in eating this.
Why water and not beef stock
Never heard of stock in pepperpot.... certainly not traditional
Cow heel?
No, I never add but you can definitely add it.
Going to make with goat meat
Yes you can definitely make with goat meat.
