    I bought mine about 2 weeks ago. Kinda messed around with it then threw it on the boom arm and left it. I have MULTIPLE microphones. Today I decided to give this thing a whirl! I plugged it into my 2i2 Gen3 and did a podcast with it! YES, YES I LIKE IT VERY MUCH!!! The tone was dark and rich. What a nice mic.

    I like the warmer /bassier sound of the FDUCE SL40 mic. This sounds way better than the Shure MV7 without software. I like that it has a USB-C port! Yeah that's cool they include a XLR Cable not like the Shure MV7 out of the box.

    • @DarkenedCyrus

      Totally. It can definitely be EQ’d to your liking, but my voice sounded great as is on XLR. Thanks for the comment!

    I just got mine tonight and I'm doing some voiceovers with it. I can't complain at all! I'm using it via XLR input. I don't even need my mic booster/in-line preamp with this thing! The one issue that I'm working on solving are the plosives. I like to be close to my microphone and the supplied foam windscreen isn't quite doing the job. So I've ordered a basic pop filter with a short gooseneck made for the Shure MV7 to see if that helps. What this mic sounds like is what most people post-process their recordings to sound like. It has a rich low end and a crisp and vibrant high end. What it's somewhat lacking are the midrange frequencies. However, most people won't care about that detail at all. This little microphone really is impressive!

    This budget friendly mic by far wins in most categories...especially me that my son wants a mic for his gaming channel...I don't want to buy the most expensive because you know how kids are...and 2nd I don't want to buy something cheap and worthless...but this mic sheesh! It sure worth it. I'm buying it...thanks. now my son will have a mic.

    I see this microphone reviewed on TH-cam a lot, however a lot of them only review the USB side of it and it doesn't do it justice for what it is. I ended up getting the Donner PO-8 for now as it was only about £40/$50 on Amazon and until I can afford a Shure. :)

    Interesting, thank you. On XLR it sounded great. On USB however it sounded painful, especially when you were close to the mike. Strangely, it got better when you were a bit further away. Does it come with some software like the MV7 so that you can tweak the audio on USB?

    Hello friend, thanks for the elaborate video! I currently have the Samson Q2U and I have a question, which model has more volume in USB mode, Samson Q2U or FDUCE SL40? I understand that the volume of the FDUCE SL40 is low in USB mode, I need it to do live shows through streaming and I need it to be heard loud and clear. A greeting and thanks in advance!! 🤟

    Thank you for the review! We are a couple working from home, and we have two desk setups facing each other, only separated by monitors. I got one too recently. Its okay for speaking into. But I think its not so great for singing. It doesn't pick up the same level of frequencies that shure smb7 does. But, most people don't have 400 bucks to dip into a mic. So this is definitely bang for buck if you want to do a pod cast or maybe gaming, reaction videos. I don't think its the best for singing. Even with a high pass filter.

    • @Gnarkkotik_TTV

      Get a condenser. Don’t get a dynamic for singing. You could if you wanted but condensers are better for instrumental and music based things.

      @@formattmusic1359 yeah that’s the point of condensers sadly. They are very good at picking up everything needed for musical things. Condensers tend to cost more though for great quality ones. Another great addition for your mic (if your room is treated correctly but you still have some pickup or reflecting) get a kaotica eyeball. They are EXPENSIVE though. • @DarkenedCyrus
      @DarkenedCyrus  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The AT2020 is a condenser microphone, whereas this is a dynamic microphone. The condenser microphone, from my 22 years of classical violin training experience, will yield a more natural sound for both voice and guitar if using only one microphone over the dynamic microphone. That is, if your environment is treated and background noise is removed as much as possible.
      If that's the case, go AT2020
