With my rough calculations it worked out about 25 % than bought ready mix. But I l suppose I like doing what I can myself, plus I save on finding and paying labour. Mixing takes little effort and I can pace myself. I'm 55 with a heart condition but don't find this too strenuous.
Another and I concreted a fairly large yard back in the 90's. 6 cubic metre loads mixed with fibre glass reinforcement. Took a while to do, hard work- especially if you are on your own. Nice tractors though!!
I was thinking buying same thing but everyone tells it's bad idea. More work but I calculated it will be almost 2x cheaper concrete. And I could do any time I needed without waiting for mix delivery. Are you happy with yours?
Now I worked it out totally the other way! 75 ish quid for a tonne and half of ballast and 72 for 12 bags of cement, makes just shy of £150 for a cube to mix it ourselves. We kljust paid £138 to have a volumetric delivery! 🤔
@@chrisbond8821 depends on location, what price is sand and rock. If delivery sells cheaper then they get gravel and sand a lot cheaper somewhere. Here in east europe most of the price is cement.
I'm sorry there's no name on it. I bought second hand but looks to be supplied new by Weaving Machinery. I think the design is similar on all makes but some are pto driven others are hydraulic.
THE TEN SERIES WERE GREAT LOOKING TRACTORS WAY BACK IN THE DAY. OVER 30 YEARS LATER THEY STILL ARE . 🇬🇧👍

@@chrisbond8821 where the hell are you buying your ballast at that money
We mix a lot of concrete ourselves with a 6m3 lorry mixer & a 6m3 tractor mixer, it’s costing around £75 to £80 per m3 depending on cement content
@@jamesfordjhfcontractingltd1627 Where are you buying your cement from at that price?!! 😂
Can you share that concrete mixer brand and model thanks
