    Have you thought about making a adaptor plate so kramer can use all the tractor attachment and tractor can still use them too , keep them all on Greys brackets like

    Those loader brackets. It might be a bit of work in the short term, what you are planning, but it may a long term gain. What happens if one of the loaders go down in the future (Kramer breakdown when you want to muck out?). By having a spare set of brackets you can use between both loaders would be a help. Can you fabricate an entire adapter that goes between the loader and the implement you want to use? Seen this before on a larger shovel set up. Good to see the ole girl will be back in the blocks soon. 👍

    Interesting subject. There’s also fail type toppers to consider and you could do with a front mounted topper to reduce driving on the grass you’re going to top. Often people drive to quickly when topping especially with fail types, all they do is roll the material (grass/ weeds etc) over.

    Kuhn stuff is definitely strong, as for lifting up at the headlands, each to their own but we never lift it up at the headlands, albeit ours will pivot so no stress, talking about America, the three point hitch over there is not as popular with that as UK, drawbar is king over there, you can buy either a hydraulic lift or manual depending on how deep your pockets are, good luck with your tedder 👍

      We made square bales for years , stacking them in the park to get the air through them , then loading and carting in from field then stacking again in the hay shed again thank god for the lister bale/sack elevator and small petrol engine ! Even the flat 8 set up would have saved a lot of back breaking work 😊@@oldschoolfarmer7610

  • @chucklesx
    @chucklesx หลายเดือนก่อน

    Depends on the crop and the stage of drying it's at imo. If your rowing up for silage and the crop is heavy not lifting on the headlands can leave your final swarth lumpy. If the crop is very dry running over the headlands multiple times can break the grass up to where the baler won't pick it up from the ground. Bit of trial and error and you'll see what works best for you :)

      On the haybob there was a free float position that allows you to turn In one direction with the wheels on the ground but the other direction you had to lift the machine to turn

    • @oldschoolfarmer7610
      @oldschoolfarmer7610 หลายเดือนก่อน

      And on some machines the wheels can pivot. On this machine they are fixed and with this tractor i turn sharp and come back the next row rather than doing it in flats. Therefore, I think lifting is probably better for me.
