Saludos.
Congratulations to Uruguay from Canada. I didn't expect us to do so well. I only wish that it was the finals when you won against us. Much love to Uruguay!
Most of the central America and south America people can't hold their liquor, same in the U.S, I live in Europe they can drink twice as much, and they won't mess with you, not in the stadium or in the trains. And the beer is 100% much better than here.

But it gets even crazier if you watch back the moment they come out, Bolivia comes to the field LATER than Uruguay, and no sanction was given to them. It's not a coincidence that both Scaloni and Bielsa were given this sanction, they both talked about the state of the fields before. Conmebol acts like the freaking godfather, horse head on the bed and everything.
Thank F**K for people like Marcelo Bielsa. It's long overdue that ppeople start calling out the 'money-mongers' who are running football... more and more. A 'competition' is, by definition, played between opponents who all have the exact same circumstances and conditions. It's what's called a 'level playing field'.
yes Canada vs Peru was played at that temperature without any water breaks and the line ref literally passed out from heat stroke and was carted out to the hospital
Agree when that game could have easily play at 8 pm. But they decided to play at that time for money. Because the broadcasters pay the most for that time frame. Even if it was dangerous conditions for everyone fans, players, officials,. There was that ref that had a heat stroke or something because of the conditions.
The oldest International football team is England, founded in 1863. The 2nd oldest is Scotland, founded in 1871, both teams first played one another in 1872., and it was the 1st International match ever played. The oldest as in the 1st founded International football tournament is the british home championship founded in 1884, 140 years ago. The oldest as in the longest running since founded, is the copa america founded in 1916, 108 years ago.
I think Bielsa in some ways is right, CONMEBOL deserves a lot of criticism for how they handled the entire tournament as a whole. They could have insisted that each stadium put in some actual grass so that the pitches could properly host a match and could have found every team a proper training ground for the national teams competing. I don’t really the US needing to be blamed as much as CONMEBOL.
Gentlemen,.... Marcelo Bielsa! , "el loco "... If in a match between Mexico and the USA, at the Azteca stadium, the USA fans are attacked by Mexican fans, CONCACAF and FIFA sanction Mexico! ..ok??..ok!.. So, Bielsa is right!!.. eeuu confused innocent soccer with futbol, and it all ended in a pitched battle between Colombians and Uruguayans... On TH-cam there are the images of the Copa Libertadores matches, and how the fans of each team are separated so that they do not cross paths and they do not sell beers or alcohol either!... In the Euro Cup, they also separate the fans into sectors of the stadium!... concacaf is not Conmebol ... soccer is not futbol... So, Bielsa is right!!..
As a player, watching how inconsistently the ball rolled across the turf was infuriating and tough to watch. Why they thought roll-on turf was a good idea is beyond me.
Nor does USA realize how the rest of the world does not take that country seriously anymore. 2026 is not going to be like 1994 I think. Even Germany had issues with the Euros, it's fearsome to imagine the number of things that could go wrong in a country like the US.
Marcelo Bielsa is in the correct. He defends to the players and families. He say true about Cup America organisers, there isn't security, the pitches isn't well, the travels so long, etc.⚠️
I was in Dallas following Bolivia and I can confirm that the training ground for day 1 was in terrible shape and they weren’t able to train, for day 2 the team was assigned a different location.

It's not true that this is just Conmebol's fault... these are American facilities... American stadiums that are very nice but the fields are smaller to FIFA standarts and the quality of the grass was shit... Scaloni said this after the first match with Canada....This is the fault of american organizers aswell... Another topic was security....Are you going to blame Conmebol on this aswell?....It's common sense that you cannot mix fans from different teams next to each other... this is not basketball as you said....these are not Polo fans....Guys in 2 years you are going to receive the WORLD CUP and you are not remotly ready for that so far... The country has to invest a lot improving the facilities and learn from what went wrong in Copa if you want to organize at least a decent World Cup.....
They're American facilities but Conmebol themselves chose said American facilities. There are several other stadiums that could've been chosen which didn't have artificial turfs but Conmebol greedy ass picked the biggest stadiums to try and squeeze as much money as possible. Theyre also to blame for security issues. This was never an issue in 2016 when the USSF was also in charge or organizing the tournament
@@bryanp5843 they chose the same stadiums that the US Federation offered for the World Cup like the one in New Jersey…. And that one was also a disaster… Plus the Federation had months to prepare to have them in proper conditions but didn’t do that…I don’t think FIFA is going to be as permissive as Conmebol when the time comes…
Security is absolutely CONMEBOLs fault. You think cops work for free? No the police force gets paid per police officer present. if there weren't enough of them that is greedy fuckers trying to save money. Every European game I have been to has mixed fan areas and I have only ever been to very high risk games with full stadiums this shit does not happen in any of them (there was never a violent confrontation in the mixed family areas of the stadium where they put you if you buy a ticket for a child) because the GAME ORGANISERS make the necessary preparations. How do you expect the CEO of the american football stadium to know the proper seating arrangements and security procedures for a sporting culture they have no familiarity with? If i rent a house from you and then i beat up my wife inside the house that is your property how is that any of your fault? It is the organisers, who are getting paid and are going to get all the money from the tournament that have to send people to the stadium a month before to make sure the pitch is in order. When the euro was in my country, Portugal, twenty years ago we had inspections on stadium construction starting 5 years before the tournament and the stadiums had to be finished and getting used by the clubs for the entire preceding season, an entire year before the first game or they wold be eliminated from the tournament.
bielsa is correct. Some stadiums were not ready, the final game was a disarter 1h22min late kick off!! I think US organizers need to look for the Euro Cup and see how the games were organized, etc. You can see the fans split, it was a big party. Also Semifinals were in the same day one earlier than the other, but both teams had the same resting days!!
FIFA should start inspecting all proposed fields that are going to be used for the 2026 world cup and ask that all fields be on FIFA standards. If the same issues arise, FIFA and Conmebol should not grant any tournament be played North American soil again.
Others said it from the get go. Argentina blasted the field from the very first game. Bielsa finally talks when they have no chance for the title. Brave.

Families are usually watching from a private skybox, so families being down with the fans is on them. Everyone knows international soccer fans don't know how to behave when they're out in public. Never seem to take responsibility for their own behavior as grown adults.
Sadly, our nation has the trappings of understanding the beautiful game, but it truly doesn't understand the international infrastructure needed to address the world when they come to our country. When we have soccer in the United States, everybody is polite, everybody is in their seats, there is no tension that would demand security to line the aisles or to police the stands. We don't have the passion for the game like the rest of the world. I mean that in the stands there's not as much passion like you would see in South America or other countries. If many American sports fans see what happens when River Plate vs. Bocca Juniors come together, then they'd know the security needed to corral the fans and supporters from boiling over. In South America, soccer is more than just sport... It's passion, it's life! America and soccer does not even come close to what is seen in South America and other places in the world. We are flat out not prepared to host such an event like this.
How come there are no issues in Europe or South America for the families? This was a security issue, and it was a lack of intercultural competence in terms of understanding fútbol passionate hinchas (much more than fans, we don't have an equivalent translation). It's is exactly this concept lost in translation that caused organizers to undersecure the stands and watched a stampede of Uruguayan players' families about to get hurt. When you add alcohol to the mix, that's a recipe for disaster. Do we have to wait until someone gets killed? A five year old girl almost got stepped on by drunken "fans".
Come on, uruguay always goes out in a river of tears and mayhem. Still Bielsa is right about usa just wanting the whole cake, about the coorporative press and 5th world organisation for the oldest tournament in football

I think the overarching theme is that the us doesn’t have football/soccer specific venues that are set the level to where they can hold these tournaments, Sure I get how the US can’t get most of the blame but what scares me about this situation is that they’re hosting the World Cup in a couple years and I personally don’t even think they’ll change a thing about the stadiums they’ve used, they’ll use the NFL specific stadiums because they have bigger capacities which means more money but then most of them have artificial turf instead of real grass and every time they just lay grass on top thinking it will be fine when in reality grass fields need to be maintained for months on football/soccer specific venues so that once they’re actually used they won’t feel like they’re tearing apart because the grass is rooted and isn’t just a carpet made to be taken away. Every time they bring European teams to the us you can see the same shit over and over again with the fields they’re all using American football fields to maximise revenue but not using maintaining the grass the way it should be. FIFA will get the blame instead of the underlying issue I mean from what I’ve heard MetLife will host the final and that’s not even the best American football stadium let alone one that’s good for soccer
I’m a Leeds fan. Bielsa NEVER lies. He’s the most honest guy in the game. To see him burning with anger like this it must’ve been REALLY bad. No surprise that CONMEBOL is corrupt to the core. @@dagosegovia843 I do understand it. And I have attended 5 WCs in person and know what fans are like from all around the world. I also understand that people need to act like adults. Same for British fans. Passionate but 5% act like drunken violent arseholes. So the problem is not unique to L America, but it is concentrated there. Go to a Senegal match, They too are passionate and enjoy the event as much as anyone, but they don't become violent. It's all about temperament mi amigo.
@@djknox2 thats the point exactly, that the problem isnt unique but it is concentrated in south america and given this is “Copa America” and that you and i can say they should behave like so, they wont. So they shouldnt have allowed fans to mix as they do in south america for this same reasons.

Conmebol is very corrupted and always on Uruguay favor, on this incident that happen they’re not going to do nothing about it and they’re not going to give fines to the Uruguay fútbol team when their fans are the ones that created the incident, now about what the striker Núñez saids about his family being on the crowd, for starters the stadium has those Luxury Suites, the players that they make a lot money, he and all his teammates could afford but no, they decided to be cheap and putting their families with the crowd, so by doing that they should know better that their families are gonna be taking risks so no excuses, they shouldn’t be crying about it, if Uruguay would had won the game, trust me nothing of this would had happen but Since they Loss their fan base are so very soft and fragile that they start creating problems fights for nothing just because they’re hurt and we the people no matter what country you’re from or what country you represent, we have no other choice to defend ourselves, that’s every time in South America when Uruguay lose a game, their fan base starts a riot, and then they act being the victims when they are not.
This is a shared blame. Concacaf, US soccer and conmebol. Wouldn't spent the extra money for players families to have boxes, laid down grass with days to spare, NFL stadiums aren't even wide enough for fifa regulations. Apparently US Soccer and NFL have to find a way to raise pitches high enough to make them wider at the cost of seating.
The US is the host, it is down to them to provide the suitable facilities. Marcelo Bielsa is one of the greatest individuals in world football, show him respect.
Well said Michael.... and Marcelo is 100 % correct. But I will also say this. The U.S. is to blame for the poor security and the restrictions of instruments at the Matches. Yet the restrictions are part of the "security" protocol. As for the poor playing conditions... don't expect that to change much for the World Cup Matches played in the U.S in 2026. Why? Because most of the Stadiums there do not have grass surfaces anymore. My Wife and I moved from the U.S. to Poland 7 years ago because we had - had it with the nonsense that is happening there on so many different levels.
i love how the US never accepts part of the blame, i mean its hosted in US soil, the host stadium is in miami, theres this ENTITLEMENT attitude that is beyond judgement and critisim which i find ludicrous😢
how the fans could take, that first interest is not satisfaction of audience but making money? When it happened that these things are not coming together?
Security will be the main concern for the US as they didn't come up to standards of protection and control plus the lack of security personnel at the stadiums!!!!!

no concacaf countries should host or play in copa america. you could maybe argue mexico but i still say no. usa should not host any major tournaments because every time a big match is played there reports always come out about poor field conditions. you either have to play at 15000 seat stadiums with good grass or in the 70000 seat nfl stadiums with grass laid down a week before the match and narrow playing areas. the structure is not in place for usa to host these kinds of major events in this sport. they also know nothing about policing and security for tournaments with fans from countries that are known for fights and riots and you always see these huge melees in the crowd and nobody preventing it or breaking it up once it starts

Wait until the hooligans from Europe come to USA, be ready. For us football or soccer is not just to go to stadium to eat hotdogs and popcorn
The WC in 26 will be run by fifa, not conmebol. They have already announced the fields will be normal size. This is all on conmebol.
Lol,the supporters don't win the matches. The players do. You're not going to scare professional athletes...and I'm sure that actual Nazis aren't scared of wannabe Nazis
Hools, ultras and barra bravas can't do anything in the USA, they're all going to jail.
“Wait until the hooligans from Europe come to USA,be ready”, I think that would be a terrible mistake by hooligans to try that 💩 given our country and guns, they better buy caskets,y’all think the are 🐩 here, come and try that shit and y’all will get a very rude awakening. I have lost two loved ones to guns violence,so I hope the die hard fútbol fans enjoy themselves and avoid itching for violence because trust me Pookie and Ray Ray will be up for it.😏🤣
You are stuck in the 80's talking Hooligans... The only bad behavior in Euros was Romania's and Turk's... Outside of that the fans were all well behaved... Certainly didn't have fighting in the stands...
Saludos.
Congratulations to Uruguay from Canada. I didn't expect us to do so well. I only wish that it was the finals when you won against us. Much love to Uruguay!
Stop selling beer at sporting events.
People gets very stupid when drunk.
Sports and alcohol dont match anyway.
Euros have been fine, people drinking in the stadium and all. This happens in South America among regular fans, not just ultras.
Qatar world cup was brilliant and there was no alcohol you are making a great point.
Most of the central America and south America people can't hold their liquor, same in the U.S, I live in Europe they can drink twice as much, and they won't mess with you, not in the stadium or in the trains. And the beer is 100% much better than here.
Works in Germany
Football and beer go together very well. Don't penalise the majority for the failures of the few.
He didn't just blame after defeat he blamed it before
and what! the fields are sh*t
Nope. Doesnt mention anything about the defeat. Just the pure soccer enthusiast at it best
I've been waiting for YEARS to hear somebody tired of fearing the big bad men in suits and say the TRUTH of the inside. I've even fantasized every once in a while about being there myself and calling things by their name. It takes a true... madman, to do this in this way and at this time. And I love it, even though they'll make him pay for it.
Why did he wait until they were out of the finals to say anything. Argentina and others were saying it from the get go.
@@elche1976 Maybe because the one time he talked (just to say the fields were terrible), the banned him on the next game. Maybe. Just saying.
Or maybe because in the previous games the families of his players hadn't been assaulted. Maybe. Just saying.
@@AndresMagnone no... he wasn't banned for that. He was banned for them returning to the pitch late after halftime. Just like Scaloni and Argentina. They explained that they were suspended for the same exact reasons. Conmebol being Conmebol.
@@elche1976 and it's been proven that was total bullshit and that they didn't arrive late. The silenced him by suspending him for a game and by fining AUF. But Bielsa is now in "I don't give a fuck" mode and the truth will be heard by some at least.
@@elche1976 Everyone with half a brain knows it was an excuse to shut everyone up. Apparently he was sanctioned for the team returning 90 seconds late, which would be crazy enough, as 1) it doesn't affect the match 2) the manager doesn't have total influence on that, 3) almost all games ever don't resume exactly when they're supposed to, 4) no sanctions were ever given before for that in any major game, and 5) it's freaking 90 seconds!
The pitch really is horrendous. If I can see how bad it is from my living room there's a problem.
Bielsa and Jose maria Giminez duo conference needed after both their conferences 😂
Yes please
Can we remember they made teams play in kansas at like 40*c or somthing im pretty sure
yes Canada vs Peru was played at that temperature without any water breaks and the line ref literally passed out from heat stroke and was carted out to the hospital
Agree when that game could have easily play at 8 pm. But they decided to play at that time for money. Because the broadcasters pay the most for that time frame. Even if it was dangerous conditions for everyone fans, players, officials,. There was that ref that had a heat stroke or something because of the conditions.
Yes good on Crepeau 🇨🇦 for going to help the ref.
The oldest International football team is England, founded in 1863. The 2nd oldest is Scotland, founded in 1871, both teams first played

As a Derby fan I respect Bielsa so much
Gentlemen,....
I think usa doesn't know how tense and serious futbol is taken around the world
Nor does USA realize how the rest of the world does not take that country seriously anymore.
Refereeing has been absolutely abysmal as well. Every var check takes 5 minutes, horrible missed calls and inconsistency
I was in Dallas following Bolivia and I can confirm that the training ground for day 1 was in terrible shape and they weren’t able to train, for day 2 the team was assigned a different location.
From Portugal, Bravo Uruguayo
Bielsa is right. And it is the USA's fault also. They do not have proper fields for football. We all hope they do better in the world cup.
They do. Fifa already had announced 26 will have normal fields. This was conmebol decision. At least try to research it before you assume.
But how many of those fields/stadiums are soccer specific????

The players families were offered secure box seats, they choose to sit where they did!
The US does share blame
I miss him not being at Leeds anymore. Such a good man on and off the pitch.
FIFA will be controlling the world cup so there will not change in the pitch and there will grown grass months before kickoff
Mixing fans was never a problem in the 1994 WC and the 2016 centenario
Someone had to say it and i love it that it was Bielsa
Others said it from the get go. Argentina blasted the field from the very first game. Bielsa finally talks when they have no chance for the title. Brave.

Remember the mention to Fifa.gate. The US secured the see of the 2026 World Cup and the Copa America 2024 thanks to the good offices of the FBI. Man he was putting out the Fireworks before the Disaster in Miami.
But all said and done, USA did host FIFA 1994. No issues at that time. How come it is so bad this time around?
They didn't use artificial turf.

Look now how F it was between Colombia - Argentina
1:14 Actually it’s the idiots who put the Uruguayan players’ families near Colombian fans. ‘Diversity’ isn’t such a good idea when it comes to ticket allocation for big matches, even in a neutral location you just can’t stick the families in any corner…
Where were all the police and stewards? Post match descended into a complete farce with Uruguayan players having to protect their families from over boisterous Colombia fans. You could see fans with young kids fleeing for their safety.

He is mad because they lose ,
Bielas was spot on with all his criticisms here - both on CONMEBOL and the US organizers. It really does not bode well for the Mundial in 2 years.
I’m a Leeds fan. Bielsa NEVER lies. He’s the most honest guy in the game. To see him burning with anger like this it must’ve been REALLY bad. No surprise that CONMEBOL is corrupt to the core. The fish rots from the head down. It all goes back to FIFA, which is just as bad as it ever was with Infantino in charge.
How about blaming the childish temperament found in Latin America? Not exclusively in L America, but mostly... Maybe those fans could grow up and get a life? 🤔
If thats your opinion than you have no idea about south american football fans, i recomend you go and check out some copa libertadores videos. They live, breath and eat football and south america is so fucked up that yes football is their life and its why you dont understand such fantism.
@@dagosegovia843 that's fine. Put Latin American supporters in their sections. I personally wouldn't want to be treated like a child, but alas what else can the organizers do if this behavior continues. I'm sure FIFA will strongly consider such matters for 2026.
100% correct to call them out. The tournament was a sham
The US is the host, it is down to them to provide the suitable facilities.

Conmebol is in shambles. Copa should be held once every 4 years btw.
Why? Because most of the Stadiums there do not have grass surfaces anymore.

how the fans could take, that first interest is not satisfaction of audience but making money? When it happened that these things are not coming together?
Security will be the main concern for the US as they didn't come up to standards of protection and control plus the lack of security personnel at the stadiums!!!!!
If the 2026 world cup is a disaster as apparently many are saying this tournament was, it will reflect badly on the USA, though Mexico and Canada are co hosts (I actually feel the final should be held in Canada, as the USA and Mexico have had finals in there countries. But the quiestion will be, in 94 it was a success, and therefore, has the USA declined so badly in quality? Heaven help when LA holds the Olympics.
They don't understand football culture in the U.S. They are an insular nation re sport in general. NFL , NBA etc

Take a number, pal. We have enough issues to deal with in our country.
Don't host it then , it's not your tournament, it's all the greedy money organizers, don't host the world cup either, you are not a football nation! No South American country wants to play here their copa America.
no concacaf countries should host or play in copa america. you could maybe argue mexico but i still say no. usa should not host any major tournaments because every time a big match is played there reports always come out about poor field conditions. you either have to play at 15000 seat stadiums with good grass or in the 70000 seat nfl stadiums with grass laid down a week before the match and narrow playing areas. the structure is not in place for usa to host these kinds of major events in this sport. they also know nothing about policing and security for tournaments with fans from countries that are known for fights and riots and you always see these huge melees in the crowd and nobody preventing it or breaking it up once it starts
And their going to held the WORLD CUP in the US what a disaster
