      Hyconn would never have succeeded. Fire departments and water districts already have their preferred way to connect hoses to hydrants. You’d never get them to change.

    Mark is the most successful shark by a long shot, telling him how to do business is a no go, that decision inevitably cost him an amazing deal and run his business to the ground because he didn't want to accept some sound advice.

      It was less about telling Mark what to do and more about trying to get Mark to stick with his deal. Mark took HyConn off of the table from Kevin and then tried to push Jeff out. There was no $1.25 million. There was no $100k salary position for three years. You could argue that not working for free is telling Mark how to do a business, but Jeff would have been an idiot to make somebody else even wealthier for free.

    I think a lot of these entrepreneurs go there with the mindset that they know more than the judges do. Granted the judges way may not be the only way, but each if them have proven that they know how to build a successful company. In the case of Mark Cuban people will take his phone calls. Where as they may not listen to the common everyday person.
    Had the firefighter listened he probably would be a millionaire at this point.

    Hy-Conn is doing just fine. Jeff showed his product at FDIC 2024 and gained national attention from the fire fighting community, with plenty of orders to fulfill. They're manufacturing product full time and at this very moment.
