In this video, I review the Rocketbook Everlast notebook. It's pretty good, and I've started to use it as part of my everyday carry. PS: The Rocketbook only works with the Pilot Frixion line of erasable pens. These are pretty good pens, but I forgot to mention it in the video :P

Hi, does the ink smear for left handed people?
I like how good your pronunciation of "Leuchtturm" is. I'm german and most people who are trying to speak german are sayin "ch" like "k". But you said it correctly.
I have something similar by another company in the pocket version and I use it for jotting down algorithms for programming. I like it because I was constantly buying paper notebooks and then once I filled them I never really needed to go back to them, and so it felt like a waste. With this, I can always reuse it and be more economical and environmentally friendly.

I bought the iPad pro because of you, dental student here, going to go into my last year of med school and I will tell you, I already feel more confident going into the hospital with an iPad instead of a big laptop or a lot of books and notebooks.

Love that you address how it feels when you write on it. Very important!
Great for teachers! We scribble notes for various purposes all day and often end up throwing away a lot of paper, often after having to shred it because it might contain student information that must be protected (notes for a behavior summary). With this notebook, a teacher can make the notes, scan any that need to be kept, and erase it all, ready for the next class, next day, next meeting, whatever!

Do we need a specific pen for the notebook?

Chris Pham If you want to be able to reuse the book, you’ll have to use Pilot Fixion pens. Microwaving the book will remove all the writings.
However the app will be able to read the book no matter what pen is used.

I used one of these all throughout a-levels and it was amazing. I’ve also tried cheaper versions and this was my favourite. You can use any erasable gel pen but the pilot ones are better in terms of pigmentation. Great review

Can't you scan pages anyway?
Yes, but the difference between just "scanning" pages and using a notebook with a synced app attributes to each QR coded page scanned in order and processes as a conglomerated notebook by the end. Wipe the pages, start again. Smart.

Currently trying to figure out how to take my notes. I struggle with wanting to take them on my surface, ipad pro or just good old fashioned paper but like you I kind of want to go paperless. I'm dealing with so many notebooks with all kinds of notes and no organization what so ever and it's driving me crazy. This looks like a really good alternative. Thank you for sharing! IG @mistjade

This is really amazing! Ive been trying to find a middle ground between actual notebooks and the iPad (only because I dont have the budget for buying an ipad that works with the apple pencil 😅). This really seems like a good alternative, and will keep my notes in one place. Also, love the Pilot Frixxion pens so glad to know that that's what works for this notebook. I have been using the Rocketbook daily for a long time now and being a graduate student who uses it daily for taking notes, drawing diagrams, writing out equations, and whatnot, I must admit- I absolutely love it !

I have owned these notebooks for a while. I have also the one that is a full page but erases the ink via heat (putting it in the microwave) yes I said that right. Also there are two versions of the everlast - lined and dotted. Needing two versions but not wanting to actively carry two notebooks I removed the spiral, merged them together then re spiraled the notebook. Food for thought.

Just picked up one of these books... it was worth it alone when I opened the book and it said "do not microwave this notebook" the laughter from that alone worth every penny. I would like to see a google calendar destination added to the symbols

The product looked quite interesting and the way you reviewed the product was quite scintillating. Honestly, you didn't even bother about the brand that sponsored your video but the viewers. I’d absolutely love to win one of these books! They’d help me a lot in my first year at university and I look up to your ideas about going paperless at Uni so the idea of scanning pages from the Rocketbook really appeals to me. A question that fits the topic though: the sound of the writing reminded me of a whiteboard. As a lefthanded person, I can't really use those. Do you think, with a rocketbook, a lefthanded writer would also smear the words right after writing?

@gotta_try. I am at a small univesity and one of the drawback is that some professor do not allow you to use devices to take notes. I think this is a great solution for those classes.
