Well, he wasn't involved in their escape, so they may think twice about bringing in an arch mage into this mess... but they could want to use him as a hostage or figure out what their plans are with the Eyes of Nine.
Well here's the thing, yussas is a very powerful political figure and any actions taken against him would lead to massive consequences to trent as yussa controls much of the district and with his influence, as well as a perceived attack of the ruby of the sea (many people saw her flee to the tower, imagine being seen attacking beyonce) could convince a halt on trade to the empire, crippling the ENTIRE NATION, do yussa is not a figure trent would dream of messing with
@@irongiant5951 I mean, openly harboring fugitives of the Dwendalian Empire, who were actively caught robbing a personal holding of their personal archmage, with on of those fugitives being the daughter of the Ruby of the Sea would almost certainly slice quite a bit of influence that Yussa could wield. It's a special thing to be disgusted and disappointed by your own brain 😂 Percy was a pretty clear window into Talison's own relationship with his intelligence and you can see it on his face here. Talison wants to hold himself to a higher standard, he wants to be "above" such crude solutions. But... When everybody else is clueless and you've got the only potential solution, you can really hate "being the smartest peron in the room" because on a certain level you realize just how disappointing it is that you weren't just a little smarter and able to come up with a plan that wasn't as risky. ❤ We all strive to be better, if not for ourselves then for the ones we care about. these highlight reels are my favorite things to look forward too (other than the episode itself) :"D !!!!
When they say someone who jumped from place to place my immediate thought is that the scroll was given by planerider ryn
Fridge brilliance (which I don't know if it was on purpose or not): Fjord can read/speak Common and Orcish. Orcish has no written script of its own, it uses Dwarvish. Travis can't offer any language that Beau hasn't already covered. :)
"We could be going to Hell, or worse, but it is better than here!"
2022 would like that on a t-shirt.
Artie with the coconut drink is one of my favorite scenes out of the entire campaign.
He's just such a massive asshole, and I love that.
This was a great episode.
Felt like a "Jojo's bizarre adventure" moment for me. The epic entrance and smash cut to the other point of view to realize that is indeed a ridiculous entrance
I love Beau's response 'uh-huh, it was brutal'
Thank you for these videos!
I think every table has had a moment like this where everything goes absolutely pear-shaped. Hope Matt doesn't stress you all out too much next week! :)
EASY SLEAZY! SLAP those gofies IN THE MOUTH!
The jester seeing her mom scene messes me UP
I think Jester's Ceremony is the first non-sarcastic version of tAlKiNg LiKe ThIs
28:30 Never before have I felt such a primal level of connection to another human being than when I saw Talison reacting to the idea his brain generated the second he realized they couldn't plane shift with all the people in their party.
Technically it worked out, but I know Talison must've been kicking himself for this one briefly given what happens...
Jester is such a gremlin
