Yeah, I can do one on yeast harvesting. I've got a hefeweizen right now that is a candidate for that so I'll be sure to pull you a video.@@geir.mathello
Thanks for the vid. Great work! Just one point, you have oxygen in your line just before attaching to the keg. Any way of reducing that? Maybe a non return valve? The oxygen can reduce your shelf life.
I appreciate the concern but once it's blown out with the liquid which is filled with co2 through an oxegynless tank plus carbonation, the oxidative exposure and effect is minimal. Never had stale off flavors ever be an issue in our kegs. If you watch a professional canning line there is still exposure to oxygen. It's all about minimizing it and not letting it dissolve into the product.
@@michaelbrews I guess it’s minimal, you are right. Shame though, that your coupler requires the ball to be removed -> it can’t remain shut. In Germany the Typ-A couplers can open / close as you wish with a lever. That allows easy purging of lines as seen in this video. He is using a keykeg coupler. th-cam.com/video/3rGJWV3dqf0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=zY7BGz2c6HgsyMK_
Very nice we do it similarly execpt no flow control output cause we have to carbonate ine the keg :/ beer looks very nice and clear but in my opinion not fizzy enough 😂 would love to try it though
I pulled the one keg for the video and let the rest plus up a bit, but it sat on the line over the three days we are closed and got where it needed to be 😉. Thanks for the feedback Green! How big is your guys' system?
we just started with a 500l setup and two 1000l fermenter but it‘s all low budget and secondhand, therefore our tanks only reach 0.8bar. Carbonation in the tank takes way to long like that. But we‘re dreaming of some proper fermenters like yours ;)
With this specific beer it's just a product called biofine. It's not much different from whirlfloc. 150 ml as it transfers to the bright tank and after a day or two, the little bid of cloudiness settles out as the clarifying agent attaches to proteins and yeast.
Thanks lassek! I'm currently editing a full brew day step by step. Could have chopped it into parts but figured keeping it all together in one video is better thank jumping around to other parts. It's pretty in depth.
Hey Ted thanks for your input, I understand your concerns and would appreciate you outlining what your PPE (personal protective equipment) SOPs (standard operating procedures) are. I'm guessing eye protection, rubber boots, rubber gloves?
This is great! Appreciate the content, as a home brewer this is interesting to see
Thanks fox, I really appreciate the feedback. Are there any other topics you'd like to see a video on? I'm editing yeast harvesting tonight.
The content we want and need!
Lol thanks Jayson. Is it nice to see me talking about my day job lol
Good job MIC
Always good to know how the beer goes *in* the keg… ;)
You know before I got into the industry I'd only used corny kegs. Switching to Sankey this method was efficient, affordable, and cost effective.
Very Informative and nicely filmed! Thanks
I appreciate it Justin any topics you'd like to see covered?
NICE
You and your family must have a very happy New Year.
Cheers
Thank you! You as well!!! Are there other subjects you'd like a video on?
Do you harvesting yeast?@@michaelbrews

I'm sure they exist but this is the homemade solution haha.
hi' would like here about the leap from home brewing to a commercial brewery

Hey Tiger I bet you guys will get there!
Excellent video, love it. Keep it up.
Thanks Stian! Anything you'd like to learn more about?
@@michaelbrews all the behind the scenes stuff of running the place would be cool, plus challenges and unexpected stuff that pops up.
Alright I'll keep that in mind! Thanks!
have you filtered the beer to get that clearity?

im really looking forward to that@@michaelbrews
Thanks I'll try to make sure it doesn't suck haha. Cheers!
No I didn't hear it because you are playing background music with your video.
When you do it and you're in the room you'll hear it. Not a huge process deal breaker not catching it in the video.
Um- Zhamm??? PPE!!! I got 4 mins in and couldn't watch anymore- PLEASE dont take this video as a good example of Professional SOP's
