I grew up watching dr red on tv as a kid in Houston as an adult I got the pleasure of knowing him. He was a kind good man my wife worked with him at Hermann hospital. I was the first person to ever face time with him. RIP Dr duke
I wonder how many lives this man saved. Either directly through his surgical talents and skill. Or the systems and procedures he that he helped to develop and put in place. R.I.P Dr. Duke.
Dr Duke used to do a health segment about 20-25 years ago on a station in Winston-Salem, NC via video feed and he always ended it with "From The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, I'm Dr Red Duke".
I used to listen to Dr. Red Duke years ago when I was stationed at Fort Bliss, TX. We just got a new dog, Count Dooku, aka Duke, which reminded me about Red.
