You can always use the cog on the screen when you hover over the bottom left and adjust the speed. I watch so many I do that to get more info faster. I use either 1.75 or 2.0 on it.

The back grounds are beautiful. I did my first alcohol ink back ground yesterday. I had several areas that were built up and it took a long time to dry. I got impatient and added more alcohol to try and disburse it. I ended up I think putting too much on because the shine is still there but the paper now feels bumpy. I used that plastic paper you recommend, I can’t think of the name of it. but the colors were fabulous. Anyway thanks for the tutorial!!!

Well you had my kitchen all covered in gel prints…lol! I tried this tonight and got some amazingly beautiful prints. I only have a handful of alcohol inks so my color combinations were a bit limited so I will be purchasing some more colors. I only messed up once in forgetting the lift solution before doing the pull but it actually came out looking pretty good anyways. Could you tell me the name/company of your stencil with all the small circles please? I loved that look. Thank you again for this awesome technique….I will be doing more I’m sure!! 😁

  • @DebadooCreates
    @DebadooCreates ปีที่แล้ว

Oh that second pull? (The one with the eggplant ink, which i also love) made my heart do flippy flops! lol At first I thought the text that showed up in the pull, had been left on your stencil from a prior use. But when I went back & looked again I realized the text was part of the stencil!! Must have that stencil! You probably linked it, but i found its called mind games.
Love this technique! When I saw the hand sanitizer I wondered if you'd use to give more work time, & this is brilliant!
For stamping have you tried plain dye ink pads? You can use a black water based (dye) ink pad to stamp & then copic color, not sure if the alcohol lift ink has water in it that would smear it.
Interesting I had no idea the lift ink wouldn't work on the specialty Alc inks.
If you forget hand sanitizer, I wonder if you'd get about the same effect by putting some in your brayer. I'm sure it's forget it often especially at first.
Wow, really loving the pulls with that interlocking squares or rectangles stencil! Like you, not as fond of the glossiness of the alcohol ink paper, but that one with the greens & blues especially was gorgeous!
The one at the end also gorgeous! Who needs a stencil lol. Great video!

You got some great results! I’ll have to try it! Wondering if clear matte or gloss medium might also work to pull prints while maintaining the vibrancy of colors? The lift ink does seem to create a soft blending effect. I think that Cheran Shields (Texture Junkies) has done some videos using alcohol inks and hand sanitizer but your results are much softer.

Curious what your pull results were w the white paint? I have a ton of white acrylic paint lol the alcohol lift stuff looks cool but I’d like to use what I have if I can of course. Also curious as to the viscosity of said white paint? should it be a cream consistency?

Hi Tiffany. I am new to gel printing. Just got my first plate a week ago and have not used it yet. You mention at about the ten minute point that you are using your mini mister but I missed what you have inside the mister.

It has isopropyl alcohol in it. 😊 Have fun with your gel plate!

Such a great technique! Thanks for sharing! I love every print you did. I'm thinking of testing with alcohol pearl.. do you think it's a good idea?

Thank you!! You can test it but I don’t think it will work because the alcohol lift ink doesn’t lift up the specialty inks. I tried alloy and it didn’t work. BUT it’s worth experimenting. 😊

@@Tiffany.Solorio In this case, instead of using lift ink I'm thinking of using white acrylic paint. Have you tried? 😊

You did say in the video what colors you use, but I do not remember and if I see them in print, I remember them better, so May I ask you what colors you used on the photo - alcohol, Inc. paper absolutely love the combination and are they Ranger alcohol inks. Also, what was the brand and name of the stencil you used on it. Your video was awesome. Thank you for sharing. God bless stay safe and healthy.❤

I am loving these techniques..gel plate printing sure is enjoyable. I wondered whether the hand sanitiser you are using contains alcohol or is it alcohol free variety? I cant wait to try your method out as soon as I can set some hours aside..thank you..

It has about 65% alcohol. At some point I do mention that. But it wasn’t at the top of my mind as I forgot not all hand sanitizers have alcohol in them. Lol. So sorry about that. Can’t wait for you to try it!

Thank you for clarifying..I may have missed where you mentioned it. Yes, they usually have alcohol in. Lovely..I've really enjoyed your demonstration and am currently looking at my calendar to pencil in time to do the same..

@@lucienneglaiser7563 No problem. It was brief. Someone asked what percentage was in my sanitizer. it would have been easy to miss. I am so glad you enjoyed it. ☺

Tiffany does it have to be hand sanitizer gel or can it be a spray?

I want to try doing this on top of a print that already has an acrylic paint background. I have zero experience with alcohol ink. Does anyone know if alcohol inks will transfer from the gel plate onto acrylic paint? Thanks for any insight❣️

Love your prints. I thought you could not use photo type paper on gel plate without it sticking, ! Thanks for all the inspiration.

Thank you. I haven’t tried photo paper. But the alcohol ink cardstock feels similar to it. You might be right though.

You can use the BACK side of photo paper but never the shiny side on your gel plate!
