Got lucky for a retail win. Got even luckier to have a “good” pair compared to most. Craftsmanship rly sucks. Glue stain was my only issue

Got these In the restock today. Bummer I missed out the first time, but now I got them for retail so I’m thrilled.
Both my pairs had blemishes but a pencil eraser got them out no problem. Couldn’t pass on these. Sneaker of the year so far. Amazing, affordable (resell wise), classic!
Traded in a pair of 350’s I had on ice to get these locally. Trying to do that as much as possible from now on. I’m so excited to get home and unbox em 🤤
I was hoping (and “waiting) for your review. Thanks for another great one. I was looking for resale but the craftsmanship make me think I should go to a resale brick and mortar to check them out even if I have to pay more.

Wow crazy to see the blue pen marks, my pair of bacon’s didn’t have the pen marks but the left shoe felt more snug then the right on the front of the shoe. I mean I’ll walk it out for sure but really weird to see them passing quality control like this😂 come on Nike 🤷🏻♂️ great video sir, great content! Keep it up, peace ✌🏽

Yo I swear I thought I was the only person who had the pen mark's on the 🥓'z 🤦🏾♂️ my pair had them all over both toe box's, heel tab's just like yours, on the swoosh and damn near everywhere else 🤷🏾♂️ but was able to remove with damp towel but still... It's just that the recrafted version is more confortable, this version is the pre-recraft mold

I recently got my pair and I have pen marks on one of my shoes. Both shoes had tons of glue stains. I definitely agree with you on the quality and craftsmanship of this shoe. But I still going to rich tf out these. Thanks for the awesome content! Aweosme shoe besides the poor craftsmanship. A cop
My pair was poorly crafted as well. The toe box leather has different colors on each shoe. The blue pen marks are visible too. Such a shame since these are one of my grails. Either way very happy to have them. Also amazing video as always.

I was so lucky to secure two pairs of these.
The first pair had pen marks all over the toe box and the back heel tab. Also the red suede dye runs onto the white leather. The white leather although is cracked as it should be but the right pair was literally fully cracked showing only grey with no white, & lastly the pink nike logo on the heel tab was peeling off and the nike logo on the insole was missing the "E" lettering. I sent them back for a refund but luckily my second pair was perfect

Beautiful shoe. Had to pay resell. Fortunately my pair didn’t pass the GOAT check due to craftsmanship issues and I was glad they were able to locate another pair that didn’t have any.
got these on re-release yesterday on second chance. I'm hoping to escape the QC issues. I'll rock these no matter what, but disappointing that we have to deal with QC issues with any Nike sneaker these days

Definite cop! They are 🔥🔥! And I thought my QC on my pair was bad. At least mine did not have that blue pen mark. Just glue stains here and there and some blemishes, but other than that I got a solid pair. Surprisingly, because I had to pay resell for these bad boys. For me on a comfort standpoint, they feel pretty comfy, but like you said to each their own. Great review sean!🤙

Thank you for explaining the upper discoloration. I was convinced I got a used pair until seeing this vid. Wish they were a solid white instead of this discolored look.
I've always been quite lucky in terms of QC on my Nike's, but they messed up big time on this one. So many issues on my pair, I was going to return them, but I always wanted the Bacons.
So I could either keep my retail pair, or go for resale and still receive a messed up pair...

This is one of the best releases so far this year for me. too bad about the pen marks though that QC is terrible but luckily my pair was ok. Should be named the "marked down bacon"

Really nice review and to the point. These shoes def grew on me after I saw pics and vids of them on feet. Didn’t really like them when I just saw the pics on the app. But glad I copped them for resale @ retail price. Did anyone else feel like the sides of the toe box where the stitching indent is is really tight? Maybe I just need to break into them...

Sucks about the pen marks. Can be fixed tho, just use a qtip with acetone and give them a few passes slowly
My grail air max personally. Was super happy to cop for retail, but unfortunately mine has 3 blue pen marks right on the toe box :/ It's not the most noticeable thing in the world but come on Nike, the QC is getting really bad recently...

Not officially a DQM collab as the store has now closed down. Also no mention of Dave Ortiz with this release and just called it the NRG bacon.
They switched the UA pairs with the authentic ones :p, first thought that Nike was selling fakes or UA pairs itself...
I was able to hit 2 pairs. One pair is perfect which never happens. And the other pair has some inconsistencies but nothing too crazy compared to some pairs I've seen. I'd still consider them good though.

Grail cw, I managed to cop 2 pairs. Hugely disappointed with the quality check but these went straight on toe so they will get beat anyway.
Hey Sean, I'm like 90% sure those "pen" markings disappear with some heat. try taking a hair dryer to them

Nice sneakers they could have put cartoon picture of a Bacon on the Tongue. The resale prices aren't that high as of now You might wanna pick these up. The CW is very playfull. I probably woudn't wear these more then 5x a year 🤔

Another good review but it’s Daves quality meat....not meats! I loved DQM, it was definitely a go to spot when I would visit New York back in the day. I wasn’t aware of the blue pen mark problem..that’s terrible! I got lucky with my pair as it was clean and blemish free. Unlike you, I love the quality of these, and overall my pair are a good retro.

That’s the biggest issue, being happy because you were able to grab for retail despite the blemishes. I was the same, however the facts are Nike are abusing its power knowing we will accept this.

do anybody know how these fit compared to a NB 992, like, if i'm a US 11 what size should i get?
I’m between a size 12 and 12.5 with a slightly wider foot. What do you recommend for sizing on these? Usually I go with size 12.5 on jordan 4s and sometimes 1s (like the neutral greys) because of it being tight around my toe/forefoot, but I go with size 12 on other jordan models.

They mark the panels to help line them up. Definitely sucks seeing this poor QC on such an important sneaker. I’ve seen people use a torch lighter to remove the pen marks. Just don’t hold the flame on one spot too long
How about just using a lil bit of water on a towel with light pressure, be careful around the suede part's tho. It worked for me 🤷🏾♂️
