I rarely comment on yt videos, but I have to do this one - I bought a Udemy course and it's worth all the money. I was learning from other courses early and I often had in my mind the question "what is this function?", "What does this icon do?". You will find everything in this course. Everything is clearly explained, all Figma's secrets are slowly introduced so that there is no chaos. I can only say "thank you"

You have no idea how hard it is for students who spend so much money in art programs but aren't taught software skills, yet expect you to make full blown wireframes with no knowledge of how to create a simple heading style. Al of the graphic design programs have been a nightmare, but today I am subscribing and look forward to learning from you!
    You rock!

I'm a web dev that used to make very ugly designs and everytime I had to build a website, I would just jump into it without knowing what to do. So I decided to learn Figma and I really hope it improves the work I do and the quality I provide. This is the first video I find on youtube that really gets me started with Figma. Eveything is simple and I learn the basics ... exactly what I wanted.

Hello sir, I am one of your students from Udemy. Instead of doing free courses I like to appreciate the creator's content and I buy the courses. Because I believe that you gave your valuable time and did hard work for this content. Thank you so much :)
You are an amazing person because beside the paid course each time you release a free version on TH-cam.
The best thing I want to add, I git my first job before even completing your UX /UI Design course and then in my office I trained some people how to use Adobe XD .

I came to the conclusion what sets Dan apart from other TH-cam video tutorials is that he can't hide the fact that he is a professional instructor. Many TH-cam teachers although they really try their best to explain their stuff, it's very clear (at least to me) that when it comes to teaching... they're amateurs. On the other hand with Dan I feel as if I'm in a classroom. Plus in his joking-serious tone about getting your own class project going it does encourage me to do my "homework" 😂 So yes... Very different than just following a video along. This is a proper training step-by-step video. There's no "learn figma in 20 minutes" kind of video which leaves you with no practice experience whatsoever. With Dan you have to work hard... And get moving with your class project.

There is one thing I would love to see: more visual illustrations or animations to demonstrate while you are explaining some theories or examples, that could help us (especially English-as-second-language students) understand more easily. Cheers!

As soon as I started duplicating the first image stand-in to create 4 smaller copies for the Product Details page, I realized the difference between Groups and Frames, and that was: the frame resizing doesn't seem to resize all of its contents, just its bounding element (so when I shrunk the image stand-in, the rectangle has shrunk but the diagonal lines have stayed exactly the same in size and position now protruding to the right beyond the dimensions of the rectangle looking like two antennas), so I understood that Grouping would be a better choice (and not the frame) in order to compose the image stand-in. Having grouped the rectangle with diagonal lines I was able to resize it any way I want and everything within the group resized along with the bounding element. Thank you for making us Do the exercise!

I am a graphic designer who has been working in this industry for 20 years after I graduated from college. I just started to study UI/UX 3 months ago because there was no UX/UI major when I was at school (I am now 42 and I graduated in 2002), so, I just want to make sure that I didn't miss out the basic.
I finished some UX/UI courses which are hosted by Google, and this is my 3 of 7th months of the course and I needed to learn how to use Figma to do my assignment next month. I already subscribed your page long time ago, but I just saw your page yesterday when I was searching for some Figma tutorials. Even I am familiar with PS/AI/ID, which I have been using for 20 years almost everyday, but I just patiently watch the entire of this video.
Your tutorial is the best I've seen in both TH-cam/LinkedIn Learning so far. Thumbs up. Can't wait to learn from you!!! 👍🏼

OTOH, somebody posted that the WEB version switches pages faster than desktop. I've not used either yet, so I can't say one way or another.

I'm only in the beginning of my way to become a ux/ui designer, so I have to resort to self-teaching for now and it was very intimidating because there's just so much things to learn and you don't even know where to start or how many things you SHOULD know. Such an amazing intro to UI/UX, thank you very much for the free resource. It would be great if we could get a video on design ideology and general things you'd be thinking about when trying to design pages and screens.

Great course! I was ultimately confused by the end when you consistently mentioned UX a lot, and, I was confused as to whether or not this was ultimately a UI course, or, a UX course. Either way, I feel much more stronger with the design principles, or, how to use figma. I do feel like I need to watch a tutorial, or, read a different book about the subject still.

Love your courses! Started with XD and now here watching Figma. As with other commenters, I've been told Figma is now the industry standard, but I still prefer Adobe XD. More of a comfort I guess. Which do you recommend?? Should product designers who are using Adobe XD seriously consider transitioning over to Figma instead?
