Cockroach dash went from being an extremely op technique, with Baki pushing Yujiro through like five walls and landing three consecutive punches on Musashi with it, to being completely useless after Doppo and Ohma were able to react (How!?) and effortlessly block it
Well, it's pretty straightforward atack, so if you understand how it works, you can block it before atack even happens.

My thought exactly when watching the crossover, i was like okay here we go the big move, then baki got blocked and sent away casually. At least the corssover should explains how ohma blocks the attack.

Not really. While wsrsf can be used more frequently and easier it only parries and redirects the power of the enemy. Meanwhile demon's bane is harder and riskier to use but it adds the users strength the power thats redirected making it stronger. Ofc wsrsf is better but it isnt an advanced version of demons bane since they have a lot of differences
@@RoyalKnight07. WSRSF redirects the users power twice plus adding your own power. It does not have a form either. That is how garou neg-diffed TTM and scared DS into losing (DS is durable enough to sustain Bang's attacks without damage). It is an advanced level of demonsbane.

Ohma DID use Demonsbane in the crossover, we just didn't SEE it to not spoil the anime onlys. Just when Cosmo said he couldn't see what happened. So it did take Demonsbane AND an Advance Punch to make Baki activate Demonback.
He didn't use it, it would have done wayyy more damage if he did
@@thefirstprime0124 The movie was not rally showing damage like in the series. I agree it should have shown way more damage. But Demonsbane is the only logical explanation for this moment. Baki does the cockroach dash. Ohma blocks it the same way he uses Demonsbane against Kiozan in Kengan Omega. And Baki gets thrown back. It was not explained or shown in detail to not spoil. But a little wink to the manga readers who already know about DB. I think my interpreatation is valid.

The fight choreography and animation for Kengan are almost infinitely better than Baki, despite the CG.
Even in the video, there was the scene Baki got grazed, flew up in the air, and the fight had to fucking pause and wait for Baki to spin around like ten times.
I don't have braincells quantifiably low enough to actually prefer that in my animation.
So, no.
I'm sure Kengan fans don't exactly like a direct downgrade from "rough-looking fights" to "cartoony-looking bullshit".

I remember baki saying in the movie Ohma is like all the opponents he face into one including yujiro and I thought that was a funny quote. Obviously for the crossover he said that but in manga form I doubt it. Ohma strong but baki scaling is something else.
If Ohma was put into Manga form, he would just be scaled up to the Bakiverse.

He never said he was as powerful as Yujiro but that his skill level and variety of skills is comparable.
Literally is the whole point of the Niko style; to have an array of abilities that cover every situation.
If Ohma was in the Bakiverse where the author allows his characters to just do cartoonish strength feats like stop EQs combined with his skill-set, he's taking a violent dump on pretty much everyone outside of Yujiro and Baki.

Baki basically did the same thing to Jack by copying everyone...was just a callback .............Jack maxing out on roids was a call back.................Hanayamas fight was a call back to when he fought Baki... cracking his broken fingers and punching over and over again...
Baki vs Kengan
AP/Durability- Relative, both in the Multi City Block to Town Level range. Baki has more outliers you can use to highball the verse though, like Pickle surviving the meteor that wiped out the Dinosaurs or Oliva slamming the dude so hard ‘the Earth shook’, but considering how Yujiro has Town level calcs and is compared to a nuclear warhead (Nukes are generally Town level), I think Town level Baki is more consistent. If this was just Asura then I’d say Baki has the advantage but with Omega drastically up scaling everyone, I think they’re relative enough to where we won’t be seeing one shots
Speed- Baki, High Hypersonic to Massively Hypersonic vs Kenyan’s maybe High Hypersonic for people that scale to Rei and Fei, with most of the verse being slower and the few that can keep up needing precog to do so. While Baki has many high hypersonic feats and could get MHS with Yujiro’s hypothetical casual lightning dodge
Technique- Kengan. Baki has more wacky techniques that are borderline superpowers, though Kengan, while also keeping that fictional Superhuman capabilities, actually focuses more on martial arts and technical skill within that. There’s a lot of overlap with both having prediction before the opponent thinks, durability negation techniques, stat amp techniques etc but the more practical martial focus goes to Kengan. If you give Baki and Kengan characters stats equal fights to start (with stat amping techs allowed for both sides…techniques only like Cockroach tackle, Mach Punch, Flame Kata, Adamantine Kata etc but transformations like Advance or Demon Back/Brain…then I think Kengan characters generally take it)
Skill- Either relative or Baki. With Omega rolling around and the level of skill evolving to the point where a lot of people or on or above Asura Kuroki’s level and how the Connector told Ohma that the way people who maxed out their physical potential can still get stronger is through refined technique, essentially meaning besides Omega Kuroki, skill wise the rest of the verse is nowhere close to him despite all being masters of martial arts who surpass ‘conventional’ masters of martial arts
And then on the Baki end, they’re relative with the conventional masters of martial arts being fodder to the main cast and then several layers of skill above masters. What makes Baki potentially take the skill department all depends on how literally you take their skill gaps.
Motobe mastered all martial arts, Yujiro cooked him, Doppo matched this era’s Yujiro, then after losing went on a journey to gain an ‘infinite’ jump in skill, with people like Katsumi surpassing him, let alone Baki, Yujiro, Musashi etc
But if you take that ‘infinite’ gap in skill as just flowery language then I think they’re relative. If you think it’s not then Baki takes it.
Overall Baki verse wins mainly due to speed and potentially skill if you take certain statements seriously, but in terms of AP/Dura and skill I think they’re relative and in terms of techniques I think Kengan is superior.

But if we take it literally, Carlos in Kengan also said his punches are faster than light. And Baki is arguably the fastest character in the series, even out speeding Yujiro when they fought (though Yujiro had the raw strength/durability advantage), while Carlos is nowhere near the fastest in the verse and is more like a high tier as opposed to a top tier or god tier. Current top tiers would be in the Agito/Current Gaolang/Jurota/Ohma/Kuroki/Rolon/Raian tier while current god tiers would be in the Hypnotized Rei/Divine Demon Fei/Connector tier of speed
So if we use the faster than light meta for both, Kengan would be faster as Baki is arguably the fastest in the verse and Carlos who isn’t close to the fastest has the same statement
But with the high go massively hypersonic meta Baki would be faster

This is the demonsbane stance: you see it multiple times in Ohma vs Wakatsuki, in Ohma vs Kiozan, and vs Kuroki we see demonsbane x Advance delivering the blow from the same stance. This is the exact same stance Ohma is in when he clashes with Baki's Cockroach dash. He used Demonsbane.

Shen Wulong has about 30% chance of winning against high tier characters like Baki, Musashi, Hanayama (probably), current Pickle (most likely) and Jack Hanma.
Shen Wulong has about 50% chance of winning against the tier 2 characters like current Katsumi, Oliva, Kaku, Sukune
Shen Wulong has about 80% chance of winning against the tier 3 characters, such as Doppo, Shibukawa, Retsu
Shen Wulong has 100% chance of winning against anyone lower than tier 3 characters, such as the OLD prisoners, Ali Jr, Kato, Sanada, etc.
That has no logic to base a fight on, you have no information on how Shen fights, he barely put effort in killing Makaku. What methods of combat does Shen use we don't know.

The good thing is that kengan is gonna end way before baki does thanks to the writer taking a break damn near every week. Kengan is but more realistic in terms of strength/AP, they got Multi City Block to Town Level feats just like Baki. They’ve also got people dodging bullets and moving faster than the human brain could realistically perceive in both series, though Baki has faster speed feats
@@jocoolshow Blocking bullets is actually lowballing Kengan characters. Inaba, one of the weaker characters in the Kenganverse, has been shown blocking fully automatic gunfire at point blank range. Stronger characters have been shown striking at up to mach 90, and that's before the several years of training they're currently going through.

It always frustrates me when people say Baki is a vastly more powerful verse than Kengan. Like, sure, the top tiers are slightly stronger in Baki, but not by a stomping degree. Even back in Ashura, characters like Wakatsuki and Julius were shaking a mountain with a clash.

It’s canon n people forget some points why Kengan characters were nerfed beyond imagination while Baki characters were used after Baki vs Yujiro which was after the Max tournament , Ali jr. Arc , Raitai tournament , Prisoners arc , Baki vs Olivia arc, Pickle arc and Baki vs Yujiro arc 🤣🤣🤣where as Kengan characters were used from right after Kengan ashura tournament.
1. Kengan omega which takes place 3-5 years after Kengan annihilation-tournament, all characters were friggin strong n there were literal monsteras like Fei and Edward ..n if Fei or Edward fought a one vs all against Kengan ashura characters they would easily win..n all characters became way stronger in Kengan ashura purgatory arc
2. The next arc of the worms which took places 6-10 years after purgatory arc ..everyone is way stronger n even the weakest of the characters can easily beat 99% of the old Kengan ashura characters..n monsters like Gaoh, Gilbert and None other than the connector r introduced. N mind u, everyone is way way stronger than purgatory arc since worm arc was after 6-10 years after purgatory arc which was like 3-5 years after Kengan annihilation arc.
3. Current kuroki can’t beat Yujiro but Shen will most prolly stalemate or beat Yujiro ..
Unlike Yujiro who only fighters fighters who have fought and got damaged from fights or their only fight with an opponent who is 100% like Yujiro vs Gaia , Yujiro vs Baki or Yujiro vs Doppo or Yujiro vs thag Chinese both kiaoh…n yes Yujiro holds back..whereas Connevtor is so strong he not only holds back but restrict and lowers the entire function of his biological body’s function to limit his strength , speed and movement on similar parts with his opponent (Gaoh) who was so friggin strong n taught Ohma’s master and ohma in the worm arc who is one of the strongest fighter saw Gaoh as a monster enough not to bother having anything to do with him…n Shen is so strong his only goal is to have an equal which happens to b his other persona in his mind for which he wants a clone body of his to transfer his mind to fight another equal , and even surprising is him teaching his enemies and making them much stronger to kill him n letting them knw his weakness as well..
3. Also here the Kengan ashura version of ohma didn’t use superior version of his possessing spirit , advance or demon’s bane ..n Raiain saw jack who is the developed verisoion from the arc Baki vs Yujiro …Raian saw Jack as a toy ..exciting enough to release his form but not to use any technique .
I’d say Baki takes it mid difficulty. Ohma’s way more varied than Baki with his Kata’s .He’s also got more grappling skills with his water kata. He’s got foresight on a pretty good level. He’s mastered demonsbane to the point it’s not a huge risk of failing like before.Kure techniques allow him to go close range. And for defense he’s got going limp and indestructible. He’s got tons of powerful moves like Ironbreaker revolution , change of scenery,jellyfish hold,and more to damage Baki. And demonsbane is a huge turn around. His use of advance boost his speed and make him unpredictable. Though the insane boost from his teachings from Shen could make a difference as they made his Ironbreaker several times stronger. But he hasn’t mastered that and we’ve only seen it applied to his Ironbreaker. If in the future he can learn to boost all his skills the same way and learn from kuroki how to counter like Kuroki did shen then it could become a high difficulty fight .
