It's really fun to put Blanton's and Ancient Age 10 Star in the same blind. Your average bottle of Blanton's has gone downhill over the last few years. It's amazing how close average to below average barrels of Blanton's are to the 90 proof Ancient Age.
Found a 1.75 plastic bottle of this in my local Walgreens here in WV and I had heard nothing but good things from it. Tried it and did not regret buying it at all. Very good for the price and also has the BT bubble gum note than most their products have.
Had the Ancient Age which I'm not a huge fan of but y'all are deffinately making a case for the extra Ancient variety! Think I may pick a bottle up and give it a try. I mean for the price, may be a fantastic value! Thanks for the blind review guys! 👍👍👍
I saw a bottle of Ancient Age on your shelf. Is that the 80 or 90 proof version? Curious for your thoughts on how it compares to this Ancient Ancient Age 10 Star. Thanks!
The bottle on the shelf is the normal ancient Age, so 80 proof. The ten star and it are both 3 years old. We liked the Ancient Age, so check out that video, but this is definitely better.
Good review. I had it once a long time ago and thought it was a good value and used as a mixer. But it's impossible to get in Virginia now. It's an allocated product, even if it's $17 for a liter here as well.
@Jeremy Eckhause - I'm seeing the 1.75 liter sitting on the shelf at my store in Arlington for $29. Looks like it's available across VA in that size. If it's not at your store, you can order online and get it shipped to your store for pickup.
Thanks! I see that the 1.75L is available in small quantities nearby. I'll have to stop by sometime soon. Though I must say having Ancient Ancient Age be now only 3yrs is a bit misleading giving its prior age statement.

I believe the ancient age is a little harsh to The I like Southern comfort

I've had regular Ancient Age and it's a great whiskey and a great value. Will have to try this one if it can ever be found...

AAA is impossible to find in my area. 🤦🏼♂️
Sorry to hear that. It's not here in PA, and only available in some areas of Ohio. Ohio seems to be the land of Weller and AAA
