happy new year, here's one of my personal ideas: 1/4 inch thick (arbitrary spec per charge piping radius} 5 bar (sleeve pressure should be below burst pressure of charge pipes, minor tig welding required) c02 filled sleeves, around charge pipes and intercooler endcaps. rapid decompression of the sleeves should freeze the charge pipes up to the cooling bars of the intercooler resulting in more dense air, post compression at turbo. triggering decompression is up to you, rpm trigger or manual. hoping its good for 10hp when and where you need it on the dyno. Original purpose of idea was to reduce heat soak while sitting in grid at the autox.
I think a couple episodes following the cars would be nice. Like I want to see more of the Audi S3 8L... Even if it is just some updates, bring the car in, do a walk around and talk about it.
I’d love to see 07k swaps into native 2.0T platforms. So like Mk5/Mk6/A3 platforms. Classifieds are flooded with EA888 cars that have jumped time. Replacement EA888s are 1500-2500 if not more, and 07k are $300. If the “recipe” was dialed in fro swap those into both manual and DSG platforms for “low cost” I know my eyeballs would be glued to those videos.

Towing with a vw golf, like any of them. I moved across Canada in my 17 GSW pulling a roughly 2000ibs loaded UIhaul trailer with my dirtbikes, ducks and tools. Was surprised how well it handled the trip.

Whatever y’all get into this year I’m here for, keep up the great content!

For vid ideas, maybe test the limits of, and blow up every vw engine; starting with the 8v...or don't blow them up and add upgrades + dyno results. Different cams, etc...maybe sell or raffle off upgrades after. Another idea is set a hp goal for every engine (300hp) and what it takes to get there.

Software isn't cheap, an it would be extremely expensive to do a head to head. If you'd like to fund us doing such a comparison we can make it happen. There's no convincing companies to provide us free software to compete against each other. The ones we have done (rarely) are simply from clients switching software.
Thanks for the idea, however the issue is it's misleading.... I could easily make power with one, no problem. The issue is they fail premature almost always. People think because it made X amount of power that's it's good, and don't realize they'll needing to replace it shortly after. Heck I avoid Precision turbo's most of the time due to a similar experience over the years. Been there done that, and have seen it plenty on client cars, making power is one thing, due so over time is completely different.

I’m surprised to hear that about precision specifically. I’ve never considered them personally and hadn’t looked into them any, but was under the impression they were comparable to Garrett or BorgWarner. Praising good products seems more your style than bashing not so good ones, but I’d be interested in a deeper dive into how you’ve seen them fail over time. (Journal vs ball, material, QC) Maybe theres a couple other products you could add to a tasteful buyer beware type video?

Hey guys love the channel. Apparently you can take an ac blower fan and wire it directly to the battery and turn it into an electric supercharger. At least that's what my buddy says (we all have that one friend) Also would love to see 2.5's in stuff it was never designed for. Chevy luv's, Bronco II's, Miata's, sandrails/dune buggys, other small light rear wheel drive stuff. NA then turbo. You could make a series of it. Just a thought
Use a vacuum on the crankcase breather and if you could also somehow rig another car to build boost for the 2.5 on the dyno like a boost doner transfusion
How much octane booster do you need to actually make more power. 1 bottle? 12 bottles? Spray water into the intake with a super soaker like a cheap water injection

I would like to improve my 2001 Polo 1.4L 16V 6N2 (facelift) imported from Hungary (made at Wolfsburg) that has been a bit of a pain to deal with. What I need to get done is an alignment, shocks & struts and hopefully add more power by way of either of a complete engine swap (VR6 or 1.8L Turbo) or else add a 1.8L bottom to the 1.4L. I believe this would require port and polishing amongst other things. I'd love to make it Stage 1 or 2 rally-ready, but of course the age of the vehicle would probably make this impossible...so how 'bout rally pace car :D

Can you do some content about performance upgrades and tuning for automatic transmission equipped vehicles ( traditional, non DSG autos )? Automatics and turbos are a perfect fit. Discuss how much power can they hold, tuning, performance torque convertors, internal upgrades, etc.
Here's my 09g sob story; I don't know what the guy that owned my Golf S before me did to this poor car, but the factory tranny had started having issues around 75k miles (bought the car at about 50). Failed at around 83k, just outside warranty. Otherwise I love the car, the stock suspension is perfect for snow storms and my clutch knee is too old to work a manual anymore :( Replacement 09g pretty much lives in shift mode now, but am being very careful to not let it lug in those upper gears it seems to want to hang out in all the time when it's not. When I drive it cold, I drive it slow, like it's made of glass. Additionally to get back OT, local APR dealer warned against going with tranny upgrades when I did the stage 1 tune, I wanted to put in the transmission subframe mount upgrade but he said if you put anything on but the stock setup, it will work itself apart and start having a plethora of issues.
@@Daryll_Flaro sourced an engine for it, then this time last year I did a compression test on it and it was junk. Didn't want to open it and have people complain that I opened it, even if it was too just fix it. So I had to scrap it, however I found another engine, hopefully better than the last.
I really wanna see some sort of 07k AWD content, my dream track car is a 5 cylinder awd golf, and I haven't seen many in depth build series about an all wheel drive 07k.

You can do contents for how to tune a standalone ecu, specially ecumasters and haltechs are world wide used standalones. Even if you do it as webinars, i am ready to pay for it.

Windshield washer fluid around here also contains a bunch of additives due cold etc, so not great for use with water meth injection. And although some can be used, using real methyl hydrate and distilled water will be a better alternative.
Blow up a VW? How about with a motor that is both supercharged and turbocharged? More plausible: DIY lightweight pulleys! Crank pulley, and all accessories. Maybe with a drill press, probably just with hand tools. Lightweight? Yes! Balanced? Well...
What I personally would like to see is some water/meth injection content. Most people run ethanol now, so it’s very rare to actually see WMI content, unless you watch a video that years old. Also, the WMI content that’s available on YT is so “iffy”. The tests that are done aren’t very good. Most of the content is about companies/tuners/DIY’ers just showing how to install it or talk about the benefits of it, but they don’t really give any tests to show how well it works. If you are able to, and desire to, I would like to see WMI tests such as: 1. Showing what WMI on an already modded car, can do for its power potential. For example, a car that is FBO and already custom tuned (custom tuned vs WMI custom tuned would show the exact benefits WMI does to an already custom tuned car)(a FBO car with an OTS tune vs a WMI custom tune isn’t really a valid comparison) and then putting WMI on it and comparing dyno to dyno graphs. This would show how much power potential WMI really gives. I haven’t found this exact comparison on YT yet, after searching a lot! It’s always an improper comparison. 2. Maybe fiddling around with the best spot to inject WMI. Would it be on the charge pipe from the intercooler to the throttle body, or on the throttle body itself, or somewhere else? Which location works best? 3. Showing the power differences between running pure methanol vs running 50/50 mixes like Boost Juice from Snow Performance. Just an idea. Thank you for all your content!! most washer fluids, at least around our parts are not worth using. Main reason is they come with too many additives to prevent from freezing, which in turn leaves a bunch of a deposits and can easily clog up a W/M nozzle. Yes lots of people use washer fluid around the world, but nothing beats an actual water meth mixture that you know the true mixture of, and that you can adjust as needed.
You don't see it because they don't exist anymore... and surely don't exist around here. With that said, I do have a Coupe Quattro at home sitting and rotting that I had hoped to build a racecar with. The channel will need to become a lot larger for me to fund that project. lol

The issue with your request is "bang for the buck". There's no cheap way of doing it unfortunately.

Do you tune transmissions? Play around with making the most aggressive TCU tune. That would be super interesting and informative finding weak spots

Additionally to get back OT, local APR dealer warned against going with tranny upgrades when I did the stage 1 tune, I wanted to put in the transmission subframe mount upgrade but he said if you put anything on but the stock setup, it will work itself apart and start having a plethora of issues.

@@Daryll_Flaro sourced an engine for it, then this time last year I did a compression test on it and it was junk. Didn't want to open it and have people complain that I opened it, even if it was too just fix it. So I had to scrap it, however I found another engine, hopefully better than the last.

You can do contents for how to tune a standalone ecu, specially ecumasters and haltechs are world wide used standalones. Even if you do it as webinars, i am ready to pay for it.
I've thought about doing some sort of webinar type stuff for either engine builds, or tuning. Time is the issue currently for that stuff. But good idea, and considering it. Thanks.

With what components? A fully custom rotating assembly? Most EA888 engines blow through the cylinder walls by 83.5mm when the stock bore is 82.5mm.

Windshield washer fluid around here also contains a bunch of additives due cold etc, so not great for use with water meth injection. And although some can be used, using real methyl hydrate and distilled water will be a better alternative.

What I personally would like to see is some water/meth injection content. Most people run ethanol now, so it’s very rare to actually see WMI content, unless you watch a video that years old. Also, the WMI content that’s available on YT is so “iffy”. The tests that are done aren’t very good. Most of the content is about companies/tuners/DIY’ers just showing how to install it or talk about the benefits of it, but they don’t really give any tests to show how well it works.
If you are able to, and desire to, I would like to see WMI tests such as:
1. Showing what WMI on an already modded car, can do for its power potential. For example, a car that is FBO and already custom tuned (custom tuned vs WMI custom tuned would show the exact benefits WMI does to an already custom tuned car)(a FBO car with an OTS tune vs a WMI custom tune isn’t really a valid comparison) and then putting WMI on it and comparing dyno to dyno graphs. This would show how much power potential WMI really gives. I haven’t found this exact comparison on YT yet, after searching a lot! It’s always an improper comparison.
2. Maybe fiddling around with the best spot to inject WMI. Would it be on the charge pipe from the intercooler to the throttle body, or on the throttle body itself, or somewhere else? Which location works best?
3. Showing the power differences between running pure methanol vs running 50/50 mixes like Boost Juice from Snow Performance.

Run a DIY water meth injection. With windshield washer fluid. I'd be interested to see if you could make power with the -50 stuff lol.
most washer fluids, at least around our parts are not worth using. Main reason is they come with too many additives to prevent from freezing, which in turn leaves a bunch of a deposits and can easily clog up a W/M nozzle. Yes lots of people use washer fluid around the world, but nothing beats an actual water meth mixture that you know the true mixture of, and that you can adjust as needed.

You don't see it because they don't exist anymore... and surely don't exist around here. With that said, I do have a Coupe Quattro at home sitting and rotting that I had hoped to build a racecar with. The channel will need to become a lot larger for me to fund that project. lol
