Did you have to sand the piano down at all before you painted it the first time? Also, is it waterproof after the sealer?

With so many tiny details, sanding wasn't worth it to me. That's one reason I chose to use chalk paint. I recommend no less than 2-3 coats of sealer. I'm not sure the extent of waterproof, but it absolutely provides enough protection to wipe down with a wet rag. Hope that helps!
