AC is my favorite fragrance youtuber, and the only one I watch actually, I have to say that I hardly disagree with this review. I bought this bottle, and it's everything, apart from a low performer. I can smell it for 12+ hours on me easily, even after I take a shower. It's so thick and intense smell. Indeed, it doesn't project that high, but it's medium sillage which is perfect for this type of elegant smell. It's so complex and unique, that I don't also understand why people say that it isn't amouage. I don't see why this is not amouage, when Dia and Reflection, which are so easy to wear, are. Maybe the decant you recieved didn't macerate enough.
Definitely olfactive fatigue. The concentration is so high on this that it is not loud at all but it also does have a lot of amber wood and ambroxan or an equivalent to where that’s all that’s left at the very dry down, a similar am to ma sweetness as in BR540. But all materials that ppl go nose blind to. I’ve definitely have thought this was Gina but could still clearly see it’s oily sheen in my skin and received compliments as I hugged ppl.
Feel the same as you. Actually, Renaud Salmon basically admitted to it as well; the Renaissance collection is the first collection he oversaw and he was living in New York. Didnt really get the Oman and Amouage lineage yet. Now he's said he wants to create them more accessible as some of the old ones, but not as far removed as the Renaissance line. The new Boundless and Material are much more in between than Meander was, would love to hear your take on Boundless
Thanks for sharing that buddy. I also feel that Renaudis distant to the Amouage DNA. Its not about simple linear scents is it? I will see if I can get a sample of Boundless mate, I am very curious about it as well.
In winter this perfume changes completely the performance is much much better and in terms of smell the perfumes became like a two floor notes the first one you smell it up close a gourmande milky laudanum and sandalwood with a hint of a high quality vanilla the second floor you smell it from far a green orris fog like a hammam or sauna (green natural soap) i can understand what you r getting from it now because I have the same conclusion but give it a chance on winter
Hello AC. I took your advice. I ordered some samples of the ADP Quercia in EDP. I do like it. A bottle may be in my future. Thanks for the advice and this video also. I may have to try a couple of them too. Be safe
Ac blessings my brother. I hope you will do the review on Crimson Rock. Blessings bro and wish you the best. Stay safe and I'm watching the review. Blessings mate
I tried Meander a few times and it was to my nose a 'dead ringer' for Bruno Fazzolari's Feu Secret. I guess it kinda bothered me that a bigger company released a creation that smells too similar to a much earlier indie release (maybe its just a coincidence). Looking forward to your thoughts on the other releases in this line. I had troubles with two of them (Crimson Rocks especially) because of the screechy woody ambers in the base but I look forward to your unique experiences.
I haven't tried Feu Secret so great to know that. Jury is still out on Renaud tbh, lets see how the other creations fare. I shall soon review Crimson rocks, I have to give it a full wear a few times I think.
But it is Amouage. 🙂 and I want a sample. Hoping it reacts different with my skin chemistry. I love everything you’ve said about it except the performance

Best thing to do mate, always sample, blind buying is very expensive thing to do.

Great review as always =)
I haven't tried Amauge Meander, yet -- it's been hard for me to get into the city since Covid hit us last year.
Hi my friend.
Which frag do you prefer? Meander or enclave
Neither my friend, of the new Amouages I think only, Crimson rocks is interesting enough to procure a bottle.

😊
