Oh my god, this is incredible! According to the alternative calculations and I think I’ve done my calculation right ( 4 stars away from magha is hasta ) I would have just finished rahu mahadasha and entered Jupiter ( asc ruler ) which would explain the crazy 18 years of my life, so many ups and downs, mental anguish and literally nothing of that life has remained. I have been so happy and content this last year and this explains it completely!

I can validate this video. I am supposed to be in Vimshottari Jupiter Mahadasha and I was told by astrologers that this will be a very auspicious time. It has not been. I have moon in the 11th house and the past 5 years have been terrible. I've lost my career, lost money, suffered from mental health issues and became interested in spirituality. Utpanna says I am actually in my Ketu Mahadasha, which makes more sense. Ketu is in my 12th house and I have experienced loss for the past 5 years. It works. I am currently going through the worst timme of my life - Ketu/Saturn. Ketu Mahadasha ends in 2 years for me and I cannot wait.

Wow, this is so fascinating! My moon is in the 6th house so I am using the Ksema version, which puts me currently in Saturn mahadasha. It made my rahu mahadasha all throughout childhood which explains a lot! Using the regular vimshottari dasha, I would be currently in rahu ketu period. This is definitely something to explore! thank you for sharing

Thank you so much Gina! This is life changing for me. I’m Aqua ascendant with moon in Hasta/8th house. I thought I’d started my Jupiter Dasha, but everything is still difficult. With the alternate system, I’ve been in Mars dasha since 2016, which will thankfully end in 2023. Since 2016, it’s been full of professional struggle & sabotage, and break ups in my personal life. I hope my Rahu dasha coming up in the adjusted calculation will treat me better than Rahu treated me in the Vimshottari system! At least he’s the co-ruler of my ascendant!

@@mattb.455 Yes, Moon rules the 8th house for Dhanu Lagna. For Libra it rules the 10th, so it cannot be functional malefic. Although some astrologers say it is. I guess much depends on the brightness of the Moon.

They are only aggressive when a child is being threatened, it doesn't matter by whom, be it even their own mother. I have heard that the Gejakesari yog should be considered only under special conditions and that not all Jupiter Moon conjunctions are valid Gejakesari yogas.

My moon is in 11th house and the standard mahadasha stands more accurate for me. Standard: I entered Venus mahadasha in 2017 (I was around 21 years old). I am taurus lagna and my venus is in 9th house. That is the year I started having a lot of unexpected foreign travels through fully-funded exchange programs, fellowships and scholarships. I felt like my lucky was finally increasing. I started exploring foreign cultures, having good foreign friends and mentors and most of all I hated being in my home country. And for the past 3 years, I have been working in a foreign country at an international company (Marketing innovation). Before 2017, I was in Ketu mahadasha and it was quite a depressing period for me, probably because Ketu is in close conjunction with Saturn and moon in 11th house. Alternate: I entered Rahu mahadasha in 2011 and will end in 2029. My rahu is in 5th house, closely conjunction with Mars. I still cannot make sense of it yet.

I agree with him. My Saturn Mahadasha (standard) started in 2007 and I became more like a saturn person, a mature, studious kid and not anyone even near to a rahu person (alternative). Also everything in varga charts match up to the saturn things. My moon is in the 8th house.
My Mrigashirsha moon is in 8H so I need to start from Adhana which is Sun Mahadasha. I thought I'm in the middle of long Saturn mahadasha for all the years but it turns out that Saturn mahadasha will just start next year according to the alternative dasha 😂 very interesting.

Please use Sign for House/Rasi Chart ONLY to judge house of Moon for this technique! Do NOT use any unequal house system!! Another point, when our mind has accepted one Mahadasha for some time, it is confusing and a bit of cognitive dissonance occurs! Believe me with perspective of time, decades of life!.. seeing Mahadasha change, and big events unfolding, you will see far more clearly that alternative works. Check the example charts I give on video..there is still use in standard MD, in fact EVERY MD starting point works for everyone in some way! But still according to house of Moon in chart we get most accurate to our karmic experience. 🙏

On the standard vimshotari dasha I'm running on Venus but on the special dasha when the sign of the moon is the atmakaraka I'm running on Rahu this explains my interest on occult on the past years and rare occasions of relationship. Hi,Gina, I love your video , everything so inspired. I'm Sagittarius Laguna and the moon is in 3 House. Standard Dasha has been in the Mercury period since 2011, life suddenly began big shaking. Since 2012, I have been going to India for several months every year. I started learning yoga, meditation and astrology. My Mercury is in the 3rd house and is not in a stable position, but I couldn't figure out on my chart , why life became so confusing. Today I found out that I was in the Rahu dasha since 2014 in Alternative Dasha. I can explain most of what happened. My Rahu is in 4h D1, and 8h on D9. Related with foreign countries, loss of security, tricky people appearing one after another, devotion to spirituality…. Then, in the Rahu Saturn period, everything got stuck . @@mattb.455 Thanks for the good analysis. As you say, short trips and many changes are exactly Mercury dasha like events. But on the other hand, they were so sudden and karmic that I felt very Rahu dasha like. In fact I lost my home… I think both are suitable. I keep observing …!
Gina. Thanks for this most enlightening information on Maha dasas! For years I have been trying to tweek my chart (birth time, ascendant, and even ayanamsha) because the Dasas simply didn’t look right with my life events. With this alternate Maha dasa you have described, almost all of my life events NOW appear to be much more in sync with my chart. (I have Moon in Cancer in 11th house… so I am using the 5th Nakshatra. The Jagannatha Hora programs it right in… real easy!). In a future video, can you kindly get into some more depth with the whole Mahadasa science? It is so important, yet it is somewhat complicated if one is not well versed with how the Dasa system works. Thanks!
Can't say I agree with this Moon in the 6th in punarvasu. I count 4 and end up with Ketu....so I start with Ketu...then after with Venus. Can't say I agree with this as life has been very difficult. My original Mahadasha Saturn during this time makes more sense Not sure if this method is accurate I feel astrology is now scraping the Barrell looking for new ideas and info...
This is very accurate and is pure Jyotish. This is not a ‘ new idea’ , rather from tradition of Rishi, Acutananda Das over 500 years old! . If you are under 50, it is very difficult to see the karmas unfolding, you are too close to events and too little karma has yet unfolded ! Believe me if you have accurate birth time this is accurate , see example charts..
Well Gina. I'm trying to correlate the new system with my current life. I'm currently running Ketu Mahadasha in normal vimshottari. And I'm anticipating Venus soon. Which I'm hoping to be fruitful compared to the last 20 years. Mr brother and a friend during school years were running Venus and experienced great fame...popularity...success compared to me. If I was running Venus then. I had the opposite. But as always I'm a dedicated follower of astrology...and never discard anything. Please let me know if iv got it correct. Moon in punarvasu. @@karljones7097 you are currently in Mars Mahadasha since 2018. Mars in 12th afflicting 7th house and 3rd. In July 2025 you will enter Rahu MD Ps. In any case Venus is weak in tenth house and afflicted by Saturn aspect., more so Rahu has Rasi aspect on this Venus. So Venus MD challenging.
@astrologyloka The alternative dasha works so much better for my chart and some other charts I've looked at. Amazing. What if Ashtottari is also applicable in a chart? Do you then use standard Vimshottari still for health, and Ashtottari, and the alternative dasha?

(I'm beginner in astrology) I have moon in 2nd house. I checked my normal mahadasha and Googled bhps and read the relevant part. I felt it was pretty accurate. Im having rahu MD and saturn AD. Bhps claims. 1. Marriages in house- My sister got married. 2. Construction of water reservoir. My father built a huge water reservoir in our farm land. 3. Gain of wealth from shudras.- happened. 4. Return to homeland. Happened for 2 months. That's longest I have stayed in my hometown after many years. 4. Reduction in income due to lethargy- I don't know about this. 5. Pleasure of king for devotion in his service. - Clearly not happened. This md and ad is till November. I'm hopeful for the last one.
For Boris Saturn Mahadasa and Moon ANTARDASA per pachakadi sambandha 6H from Saturn is where Saturn doesn’t like and cancer is 6H from them , so wouldn’t that be why moon antardasa would be screwed?
Hi Gina, an insightful video as always. I read your pinned comment and it do makes sense. However, currently for me I am running Saturn Mahadasha and Rahu antardasha. Saturn is in 2nd house in Capricorn, and Rahu in first house (conjunct with Sun) in Saggi. This forms a 2-12 relation among the Mahadasha and antardasha lord. With this new system, I am in Moon -Mercury, as my moon is in 11th house, and Mercury is in 12th house (conjunct with Mars and Venus). Now whatever I am currently going through, according to my understanding, it was due to the Saturn Rahu Bhukti, and it made perfect sense to me as the dasha started in beginning of 2020, and I am still searching for a full time job since that time without any real success. With the alternative it is difficult to read/analyze for me.
You need to analyse according to Lagna. Sagittarius rising means that Moon is 8th house lord. Moon MD is challenging for this Lagna. So is Shani. But Moon lasts only ten years. Obviously I do not have your full chart to analyse but generally speaking Mars MD can be helpful to Sagittarius Lagna if well situated in D1 and D9. Whereas Mercury after Saturn is not helpful. Try to look backwards to confirm..depending on age .
Another point. Moon MD makes transits to Moon crucial..Moon in Libra is since 2020 undergoing Saturn 4th..very much like Sade Sati! Ends shortly with Saturn Aquarius, but not fully ended till Jan 2023.

Thank you for this video! 🙏🙏 When you calculate mahadasha, in the alternative way, like you have Moon in 2nd house, then do you start from the degrees of the natal Moon again in the kshema /4th nakshatra, or with the degree of the planet, ruling the nakshatra? Because I will calculate without using a computer software, I have done that before, so I know how. I am asking because I use a different ayanamsha, not Lahiri, or any other popular ayanamsha. 😁
You really need to just quickly go onto link I have provided!! It is laborious and difficult to mathematically get exact Dasha..it is free for 16 days, just take photos of your dashas..🤞this software uses special type of Lahiri..just try

All this time I thought I was in rahu mahadasha but my life was going pretty well aside from my last relationship things are really starting to pick up for me, so I was confused, turns out I'm in Saturn mahadasha and mercury comes next. My early life was extremely horrible turns out I was in Jupiter mahadasha . (Libra ascendant with Leo moon) the moon is my atmakaraka but my Sun (ruler of my moon) is in Virgo and is only 13-15 degrees (can't exactly remember)
I'm a little bit concerned. I don't know my birthtime. I got to birthtime by using Mahadasha timing. My mom said around 5 to 5:30am. I eventually settled on 6:15am. I started with Lagna chart analysis to choose Scorpio rising over Libra rising. Then I used picked Anuradha rising because I didn't relate to Jyestha and Vishakha but I do relate to Anuradha. Then I decided I was either Pada 2 or 4 but narrowed it to pada 4 because it matched my inner personality more. So then I lined up Mahadashas with life changes. And I linked up Antardashas and Pryantardashas to my life. But now I'm not sure of my birthtime. Plus I was using Astrosage software and I don't know how accurate that is.
What if my moon is Atmakaraka with his own sign in cancer ?? Should I start with mercury as standard since moon in Ashlesha pada2 or start from moon???

thanks for the information, moon in the 6th, but standard v.dasha works perfectly for me and my sister!!. Currently going through sat mahadasha in the 5th house, its also the ruler of 6th house (D1). When Sat dasha ends I will be finished with all my schooling. I have been in school studying intensively the entire sat mahadasha, its been difficult. In the alternative dasha system I am and was going through venus dasha which was in my 12th house in d1 and 1st house in d10. Which does not make much sense to me
Per the standard vimsottari MD I should have been running Jupiter MD 2014 onwards however if I see the alternate dasha it fits perfectly well. I ran Mercury MD till 2017, and completed my school and B. Tech, and as soon as Ketu MD started in 2017, the time isn't really pleasant. Hope my coming Venus MD goes great, I have Venus in first house Virgo.
Check houses ruled by Scorpio and Pisces. First half Ketu Dasha is Scorpio house, last half is Pisces House. Need accurate birth time, or read from Moon Chart, Remedy as per Ketu Dasha video
I have a question. My moon is in Aries Bharani in the 8th and Venus in Dhanishtha is my atmakaraka. I know Aries is ruled by mars and bharani venus I also know dhanishtha is ruled by Mars as a nakshatra. Do I continue to evaluate my chart from Venus being my first Mahadasha or does it shift to Mars?
In the "special case" of exceptions to vimshottri shift or not I have a question. My moon rests in Bharani 8th house which my adhana would make my my birth ruler ashlesha ruled by mercury (natal ketu placement) BUT SPECIAL CASE I want to ask if my atmakaraka is venus in Dhanishtha does that make the adhana null and me to resume use of vimshottri or does it even more differently make my beginning nakshatra mars as my moon rests in rashi aries. See Im confused if by the atmakaraka exception if I am to follow it as the lord of the nakshatra sign or lord of rashi sign
Good day🙏 that was an interesting video. My Moon (AK) is in Leo, as far as I heard Sun is the natural AK🤔, may be that is why I feel the periods of usual Vimsottari Dasha? I have been living my long period of Rahu and I really went through almost all those turbulences of the dasha you mentioned in your video about Rahu MD, however when I check the alternative system of dashas- I'm in Mercury...and AD is Venice but I don't feel anything special for those periods🤔 or maybe it is just hard to redirect my thinking 🤔 The thing is my Mercury, Sun, Rahu and Venice are all in 12th house... but as I have so much instability and changes in life I tend to believe it is still Rahu period... it's really hard to understand though😅
Namaste - I read a few articles online and watched a couple of Visti Larsen's videos on the same topic. He mentioned for wealth and health, we still use Janma vimshottari regardless of your moon placement. Are there any other exceptions??
Astrologers use different concepts..Birth NK is tge body..so health..but how you experience that will be different if Alternative NK is relevant for you. So I find it even in regard to health you can still see what’s going on by the alternate system. It’s how YOU will experience it. Sanjay Rath has just posted on this. Check pinned comment..
Thank u for this share .. however my moon lord is my atmakaraka jupiter and in the deva link the Vimshotri dasha doesn't offer the option of configuring it as starting unless jupiter rules one of the nakshatras of the planets. Jupiter doesn't rule any of my nakshatras so I end up getting the dashas as starting fr mercury when I put in Jp as mercury rules the nakshatra of my Jupiter. Anyway to go around it.. Also although Jupiter is my atmakaraka and lord of my moon, I got Mars so close in degree to Jupiter just minutes difference .. its like more then simply minister, it also acts as atmakaraka for me as it is direct and my Jupiter is retrograde. So it gets really convulated complicated. The regular dasha system seems to work for me. I figured mentally what could be the remaining fr the Jupiter degree to qualify as starting years. Its like 8 months or so. My Jupiter is quite old 😆 🤣.. so it moves to Saturn within my first year and so on .. so just your thoughts on how to get it on deva from their drop menu as I don't seem to find it. Yes I am Moola and I dig quite deep.. 3rd house too .. Thank u again for all the efforts .. Pandit Sanjay Rath insight and Lateral mind is unmatched in the community .. 🙌

My moon is in 11th house and the standard mahadasha stands more accurate for me.
Standard: I entered Venus mahadasha in 2017 (I was around 21 years old). I am taurus lagna and my venus is in 9th house. That is the year I started having a lot of unexpected foreign travels through fully-funded exchange programs, fellowships and scholarships. I felt like my lucky was finally increasing. I started exploring foreign cultures, having good foreign friends and mentors and most of all I hated being in my home country. And for the past 3 years, I have been working in a foreign country at an international company (Marketing innovation). Before 2017, I was in Ketu mahadasha and it was quite a depressing period for me, probably because Ketu is in close conjunction with Saturn and moon in 11th house.
Alternate: I entered Rahu mahadasha in 2011 and will end in 2029. My rahu is in 5th house, closely conjunction with Mars. I still cannot make sense of it yet.

As soon as ketu began I broke up from a long term relation and things got super detached for me. Venus for me will begin in 2025. So far it seems standard one is befitting for me, but like Gina said , may be as i get older it changes, Lets see. (Moon in 3rd house in cancer).

I agree with him. My Saturn Mahadasha (standard) started in 2007 and I became more like a saturn person, a mature, studious kid and
not anyone even near to a rahu person (alternative).

Please use Sign for House/Rasi Chart ONLY to judge house of Moon for this technique! Do NOT use any unequal house system!! Another point, when our mind has accepted one Mahadasha for some time, it is confusing and a bit of cognitive dissonance occurs! Believe me with perspective of time, decades of life!.. seeing Mahadasha change, and big events unfolding, you will see far more clearly that alternative works. Check the example charts I give on video..there is still use in standard MD, in fact EVERY MD starting point works for everyone in some way!
But still according to house of Moon in chart we get most accurate to our karmic experience. 🙏

On the standard vimshotari dasha I'm running on Venus but on the special dasha when the sign of the moon is the atmakaraka I'm running on Rahu this explains my interest on occult on the past years and rare occasions of relationship. I'm Sagittarius Laguna and the moon is in 3 House. Standard Dasha has been in the Mercury period since 2011, life suddenly began big shaking.
Since 2012, I have been going to India for several months every year. I started learning yoga, meditation and astrology.
My Mercury is in the 3rd house and is not in a stable position, but I couldn't figure out on my chart , why life became so confusing.
Today I found out that I was in the Rahu dasha since 2014 in Alternative Dasha.
I can explain most of what happened. My Rahu is in 4h D1, and 8h on D9.
Related with foreign countries, loss of security, tricky people appearing one after another, devotion to spirituality….
Then, in the Rahu Saturn period, everything got stuck . The Rahu Mercury period is coming soon. I keep getting an observation of what happens.

For years I have been trying to tweek my chart (birth time, ascendant, and even ayanamsha) because the Dasas simply didn’t look right with my life events. With this alternate Maha dasa you have described, almost all of my life events NOW appear to be much more in sync with my chart. (I have Moon in Cancer in 11th house… so I am using the 5th Nakshatra. The Jagannatha Hora programs it right in… real easy!). In a future video, can you kindly get into some more depth with the whole Mahadasa science? It is so important, yet it is somewhat complicated if one is not well versed with how the Dasa system works. Thanks!

Moon in the 6th in punarvasu. I count 4 and end up with Ketu....so I start with Ketu...then after with Venus. Can't say I agree with this as life has been very difficult. My original Mahadasha Saturn during this time makes more sense

This is very accurate and is pure Jyotish. This is not a ‘ new idea’ , rather from tradition of Rishi, Acutananda Das over 500 years old! . If you are under 50, it is very difficult to see the karmas unfolding, you are too close to events and too little karma has yet unfolded ! Believe me if you have accurate birth time this is accurate , see example charts..
Well Gina. I'm trying to correlate the new system with my current life. I'm currently running Ketu Mahadasha in normal vimshottari. And I'm anticipating Venus soon. Which I'm hoping to be fruitful compared to the last 20 years. Mr brother and a friend during school years were running Venus and experienced great fame...popularity...success compared to me. If I was running Venus then. I had the opposite. But as always I'm a dedicated follower of astrology...and never discard anything.

Im having rahu MD and saturn AD.
Bhps claims.
1. Marriages in house- My sister got married.
2. Construction of water reservoir. My father built a huge water reservoir in our farm land.
3. Gain of wealth from shudras.- happened.
4. Return to homeland. Happened for 2 months. That's longest I have stayed in my hometown after many years.
4. Reduction in income due to lethargy- I don't know about this.
5. Pleasure of king for devotion in his service. - Clearly not happened.

For Boris Saturn Mahadasa and Moon ANTARDASA per pachakadi sambandha 6H from Saturn is where Saturn doesn’t like and cancer is 6H from them , so wouldn’t that be why moon antardasa would be screwed?
Hi Gina, an insightful video as always. I read your pinned comment and it do makes sense. However, currently for me I am running Saturn Mahadasha and Rahu antardasha. Saturn is in 2nd house in Capricorn, and Rahu in first house (conjunct with Sun) in Saggi. This forms a 2-12 relation among the Mahadasha and antardasha lord.
With this new system, I am in Moon -Mercury, as my moon is in 11th house, and Mercury is in 12th house (conjunct with Mars and Venus).
Now whatever I am currently going through, according to my understanding, it was due to the Saturn Rahu Bhukti, and it made perfect sense to me as the dasha started in beginning of 2020, and I am still searching for a full time job since that time without any real success. With the alternative it is difficult to read/analyze for me.
You need to analyse according to Lagna. Sagittarius rising means that Moon is 8th house lord. Moon MD is challenging for this Lagna. So is Shani. But Moon lasts only ten years. Obviously I do not have your full chart to analyse but generally speaking Mars MD can be helpful to Sagittarius Lagna if well situated in D1 and D9. Whereas Mercury after Saturn is not helpful. Try to look backwards to confirm..depending on age .
Another point. Moon MD makes transits to Moon crucial..Moon in Libra is since 2020 undergoing Saturn 4th..very much like Sade Sati! Ends shortly with Saturn Aquarius, but not fully ended till Jan 2023.

When you calculate mahadasha, in the alternative way, like you have Moon in 2nd house, then do you start from the degrees of the natal Moon again in the kshema /4th nakshatra, or with the degree of the planet, ruling the nakshatra? Because I will calculate without using a computer software, I have done that before, so I know how. I am asking because I use a different ayanamsha, not Lahiri, or any other popular ayanamsha. 😁
You really need to just quickly go onto link I have provided!! It is laborious and difficult to mathematically get exact Dasha..it is free for 16 days, just take photos of your dashas..🤞this software uses special type of Lahiri..just try

All this time I thought I was in rahu mahadasha but my life was going pretty well aside from my last relationship things are really starting to pick up for me, so I was confused, turns out I'm in Saturn mahadasha and mercury comes next. My early life was extremely horrible turns out I was in Jupiter mahadasha . (Libra ascendant with Leo moon) the moon is my atmakaraka but my Sun (ruler of my moon) is in Virgo and is only 13-15 degrees (can't exactly remember)

I'm a little bit concerned. I don't know my birthtime. I got to birthtime by using Mahadasha timing. My mom said around 5 to 5:30am. I eventually settled on 6:15am.
I started with Lagna chart analysis to choose Scorpio rising over Libra rising. Then I used picked Anuradha rising because I didn't relate to Jyestha and Vishakha but I do relate to Anuradha. Then I decided I was either Pada 2 or 4 but narrowed it to pada 4 because it matched my inner personality more. So then I lined up Mahadashas with life changes. And I linked up Antardashas and Pryantardashas to my life. But now I'm not sure of my birthtime. Plus I was using Astrosage software and I don't know how accurate that is.

When Sat dasha ends I will be finished with all my schooling. I have been in school studying intensively the entire sat mahadasha, its been difficult. In the alternative dasha system I am and was going through venus dasha which was in my 12th house in d1 and 1st house in d10. Which does not make much sense to me

Per the standard vimsottari MD I should have been running Jupiter MD 2014 onwards however if I see the alternate dasha it fits perfectly well. I ran Mercury MD till 2017, and completed my school and B. Tech, and as soon as Ketu MD started in 2017, the time isn't really pleasant. Hope my coming Venus MD goes great, I have Venus in first house Virgo.
Check houses ruled by Scorpio and Pisces. First half Ketu Dasha is Scorpio house, last half is Pisces House. Need accurate birth time, or read from Moon Chart, Remedy as per Ketu Dasha video

I have a question. My moon is in Aries Bharani in the 8th and Venus in Dhanishtha is my atmakaraka. I know Aries is ruled by mars and bharani venus I also know dhanishtha is ruled by Mars as a nakshatra. Do I continue to evaluate my chart from Venus being my first Mahadasha or does it shift to Mars?
In the "special case" of exceptions to vimshottri shift or not I have a question. My moon rests in Bharani 8th house which my adhana would make my my birth ruler ashlesha ruled by mercury (natal ketu placement) BUT SPECIAL CASE I want to ask if my atmakaraka is venus in Dhanishtha does that make the adhana null and me to resume use of vimshottri or does it even more differently make my beginning nakshatra mars as my moon rests in rashi aries. See Im confused if by the atmakaraka exception if I am to follow it as the lord of the nakshatra sign or lord of rashi sign

Good day🙏 that was an interesting video. My Moon (AK) is in Leo, as far as I heard Sun is the natural AK🤔, may be that is why I feel the periods of usual Vimsottari Dasha? I have been living my long period of Rahu and I really went through almost all those turbulences of the dasha you mentioned in your video about Rahu MD, however when I check the alternative system of dashas- I'm in Mercury...and AD is Venice but I don't feel anything special for those periods🤔 or maybe it is just hard to redirect my thinking 🤔 The thing is my Mercury, Sun, Rahu and Venice are all in 12th house... but as I have so much instability and changes in life I tend to believe it is still Rahu period... it's really hard to understand though😅

Namaste - I read a few articles online and watched a couple of Visti Larsen's videos on the same topic. He mentioned for wealth and health, we still use Janma vimshottari regardless of your moon placement. Are there any other exceptions??
Astrologers use different concepts..Birth NK is tge body..so health..but how you experience that will be different if Alternative NK is relevant for you.
So I find it even in regard to health you can still see what’s going on by the alternate system. It’s how YOU will experience it.

Thank u for this share .. however my moon lord is my atmakaraka jupiter and in the deva link the Vimshotri dasha doesn't offer the option of configuring it as starting unless jupiter rules one of the nakshatras of the planets. Jupiter doesn't rule any of my nakshatras so I end up getting the dashas as starting fr mercury when I put in Jp as mercury rules the nakshatra of my Jupiter.
Anyway to go around it..
Also although Jupiter is my atmakaraka and lord of my moon, I got Mars so close in degree to Jupiter just minutes difference .. its like more then simply minister, it also acts as atmakaraka for me as it is direct and my Jupiter is retrograde. So it gets really convulated complicated.
The regular dasha system seems to work for me. I figured mentally what could be the remaining fr the Jupiter degree to qualify as starting years. Its like 8 months or so. My Jupiter is quite old 😆 🤣.. so it moves to Saturn within my first year and so on .. so just your thoughts on how to get it on deva from their drop menu as I don't seem to find it.
