GLENFARCLAS 105 8 Year Old: Taiwan Release : Review with Song Pairing🎵

Reviewing the Glenfarclas 105 8 year old Taiwan release and putting it head to head with the OG 105. Both 60% ABV, both naturally presented, and both at least 8 years old.......but why does one have an age statement and the other doesn't??

Nice one Freed, it sounds more like a marketing scheme but still is interesting to try I suppose. Never been a massive fan of the 105 but I know a lot of people absolutely love it. I know what you're saying about your palate and it's the same for me. Now I'm looking more for some subtle bourbon flavours :) Cheers my friend!

It's wild isn't it? I love the evolution. Yea, there is a bit of nostalgia in this bottle for me. One of the first CS whiskies I cut my teeth on..... She gets me there haha. As always, thanks a ton buddy. I appreciate ya!

The standard 105 is still amazing value, so I can't imagine ever paying that much more for any special edition of it

When I had the 105 for the first time I was shocked how hot it was. Even knowing it was coming in at 60% I was still caught off guard. I am absolutely a fan of sherry, but that flavor profile is waning.

Same! It took me a while to tame it, that's for sure. Now I always have it on hand if i'm looking for a punchy background glass.
