Well, if you actually pay attention, you can see that the guessed order is exactly the reverse of the actual order. Which is quite a bit suspicious and makes me wonder if there was a numbering convention mix up. What do you think?

Your review notes on Dingle sound quite upsetting and derogatory. In my humble opinion, Dingle SM is great. Strange how, in the first part of your review, you mention that the already opened bottle of Dingle is your "favourite" one, and then you compare Dingle to "vomit"?! Disrespectful, infuriating and very unfair. I used to like the style of your reviews and how engaging you are. Shame about your inflammatory notes - very unexpected and very disappointing

Super weird! I can find this in BC, Canada (where Scotch is priced WAY higher than mostly anywhere else) for about $45 USD.

Nice to see you back my man great review! There are a few whiskies out there like this one where on paper everything looks great and like you said there's nothing particularly wrong with it maybe but it's just not there! Oh well if all else fails and you can't bring yourself to finish the bottle you could always show off to your guests by making a cocktail with it saying you only use 15 year old single malts for your cocktails 😅

I got the same experience too, it's a bit rough and doesn't quite hit the mark

Had this on my recent trip to Iceland. Out of all the Floki Whiskey's this is my favorite for it's unique slight bitter taste and light smoke taste. Highly recommend this whiskey.

I like some aspects of the format where you can see the outside and the written notes but I would like to see you talk about it, drink it and of course have a banter with the cat! Cheers my friend 🥃

I do love the marketing fluff of “hand crafted” and “small batch” when their batch is probably more whisky than Australian distilleries collectively produce in a year 😂

Oh man love the descriptors “pulverized the lick-a-stick and dipped a penny in it!” One of the best palates in the game my friend. I agree with the other commenters give it a few weeks and come back to the bottle. The Springbanks open up nicely with time. Keep up the great content man!

I have never had Benromach. I keep seeing it, but never picked it up. I see the old label at one store and the new one at another. To reaffirm your changing notes while recording. It happens. Keeps you on your toes.

Nice idea. never had any of the new label Benromach bottles of anything. The oder packaging is around here for very low prices so have stocked up on a lot of it. When the new packaging does show up will not need any until I go through the stash.

The standard 105 is still amazing value, so I can't imagine ever paying that much more for any special edition of it

Nice one Freed, it sounds more like a marketing scheme but still is interesting to try I suppose. Never been a massive fan of the 105 but I know a lot of people absolutely love it. I know what you're saying about your palate and it's the same for me. Now I'm looking more for some subtle bourbon flavours :) Cheers my friend!

02:33 Spain does not have any regulation that specifies that whiskey has to be named one way or another so the term Pure Malt does not mean that it isn't a single malt (in the Scottish sense) nor does it mean that it isn't. A lot of people apply the Scottish rules and labeling to whiskys made in other countries but I caution against this as it's extremely restrictive and only applies to Scotch. For instance in Scotland you can have 100% single malt from one distillery and 100% single malt from another and mix them and it's no longer a single malt. Another example is that you could have 100% single malt whisky and mature it in a chestnut barrel for 10 years and it's not even Whisky (or legal for sale under any name that insinuates it's whisky nor can you remove it from Scottish land in a barrel). However, having said that if I were to guess what was in those Spanish "Pure malt" bottles I'd say it's whisky made from 100% malted barley that did not come from one distillery so they're avoiding the confusion of calling it a single malt. I believe this because outside of DYK most distilleries in Spain are very new so they're sourcing whiskey from elsewhere, maybe even DYK.

When I had the 105 for the first time I was shocked how hot it was. Even knowing it was coming in at 60% I was still caught off guard. I am absolutely a fan of sherry, but that flavor profile is waning.

Nice one dude! When I was in Spain last year I tried three different Spanish whiskies; two different Agots and a Bikkun. Was not enamoured by any of them but it's always fun to try new things. I have not heard of these ones but by your notes these already sound better than the ones I tried. Salud!

Thank you so much for pointing these out! I stumbled across a Navazos Palazzi 'Bota Punta' and fell in love with it only to find out that it was one time run sourced whiskey from Spain. I have been searching for other cask strength Spanish whikies but there is a dearth of information on them. From the bottles, can you tell what distilleries these were produced/distilled at?

Just wait for a few weeks now the bottle is open. It will open up incredibly well. Springbanks are notoriously closed when they are freshly cracked. 👍🏻
