Honestly, Aston Martin is still one of the few brands that makes actually well designed and good looking cars. Nowadays, too many manufacturers rather make ugly and useless Crossovers/suvs or just terrible looking designs in general.
On this channel, yes, that's what he does. His other channel, which he's done many videos on recently, doesn't do redesigns like this. Because of so many videos from his other channel, people think he's stopped doing redesigns.
They’re racing the new Vantage at the Rolex 24. It will give you a more accurate shape for the front grille than the one you seemed to have sketched, especially because the one in the spy shots is covered up a little on the sides
I personally love the current 202e Vantage, it's one of my favourite Aston, and never really liked the DB12's headlights, so now seeing those come to the '24 Vantage doesn't sit well with me. I also really like how the front intake looks, very sporty, low. Love it. So I Hope that this 'cutout' will look nice
I like that you actually care about community feedback, I saw a few comments recently about why you don't redesign anymore and here we go already dropped 2 vids, respect.
the cat is the best part of this video I didn't mind the previous exterior design of the Vantage. I thought it was kind of unique and clearly inspired by the Vulcan, which I loved. This change still looks great though. I'm more excited for the interior change because the previous one wasn't great, and I'm hoping the new one looks somewhat like the DB12 interior because that is beautiful.
I like how AM are keeping the rear pretty much identical, but I think instead of going back to the designs they used before the current vantage should build off and evolve from the current one
Aston Martin offeres two different types of grilles for that Model. The one that you used in your Photoshop was the sportier grille. With the launch of the Roadster Version they presented a classic grille option for both, Roadster and Coupé, that has the Body coloured Part underneath the grille.
Same issue I've had with the new Aston's, the interior. As a buyer looking in this segment, it all but ruled out the car new for me. Used, I can justify a 90k car where I don't love everything. But I wouldn't pay $145k+ for something that made me not love it. For those who say it's about driving, yes, it is. Part of the driving is feeling good while doing it and if you look at an interior that looks like it belongs in a scion then it's way less enjoyable. My current garage is a 2022 Giulia Quadrifoglio, 2014 Viper GTS and a 1991 MR2 Turbo. I'm currently looking at used AMG GT R's but if the revision on these turns out solid, may give it another look.
The new AMR Vantage GT3 already made its debut with the face lift. You can get a good look at how it supposed to look but in a GT3 race car trim at the Daytona 24 hour race
Been watching the Rolex 24 hours and realised the the Vantage racing is based on new version with the new headlight and everything. Admittedly is a GT3 race car so the new smaller grill is all ducting, wider arches, monster front splitter and huge wing etc. You can see the new car styling undisguised. I’m glad the styling look a little more reserved and traditional, and they’ve kept the lovely rear light graphic. Second best update is the got rid of the pea shooter little twin exhaust for something more styled and in proportion.
4:03 nothing to like about those headlights. They look awful an that grill is terrible as well. That design should have never made it to productions- they can and should do better.
Not sure if anyone thinks this. But I think these current Aston’s suffer from the bonnet/ hood not coming down all the way to the end of the front. Like the last vantage and DB9 range. I always think this looks better on cars. Just somehow finishes better
Hi, im kinda struggling to draw the wheels of a car's perspective sketch i was doing, could u plz do a tutorial for sketching wheels in perspective?(in normal speed, without speeding up the video)...😢
I wish they still kept their 2010s designs. They were perfect. Still not bad but those ones back then are timeless. Could be made today and still look new.
The new bug eye design is actually a step back because this vantage was based on the DB10 featured on one of the bond films. This redesign looks more like a tacked on nose job only refresh that cheapens out the platform.
I can't believe you have something negative to say about one of the most beautiful Aston Martins, the Vantage. That particular model was created because of a James Bond movie. I think that interior you dislike looks unique for that car. But it seems inspired by Japanese anime interiors. As for the new DB-12 interior, it looks like a combination of the interiors of a Bentley Continental GT, and the Porsche Panamera.
Totally unrelated... Could you take a crack at a redesign of the Santa Cruz front end, that incorporates the '24 Santa Fe front end? I'm not a fan of how disjointed the Santa Cruz looks in the front. I'd also request the 2024 Santa Fe redesigned as a Honda Ridgeline competitor. It's masculine enough to make for a handsome truck.
Great sketch man, looks great. The car's design looks like it should have been like this from the beginning, it looks timeless like this. While i never really disliked the previous/current look.
While Aston still design good looking cars they have only gone downhill. The 2000s and early 2010s Aston design language remains the Most beautiful era for any car maker. This looks worse then the current Vantage. It looks like a coupe version of a Ford Puma in the front. Exactly like it. If I wasn't told this was an Aston id assume its an economy sports car like a Miata or a Audi TT.
Always felt like the current vantage looked like a bottom feeder or like the lady from The Grudge with no lower jaw. Even though this facelift looks more classic, the overall design looks more cohesive than before.
Yet another pointless obsolete ICE vehicle. What I'm waiting for is the Lucid powered Aston Martin electric car which will be far superior to any Aston Martin ICE vehicle.
Honestly, Aston Martin is still one of the few brands that makes actually well designed and good looking cars. Nowadays, too many manufacturers rather make ugly and useless Crossovers/suvs or just terrible looking designs in general.
Very sleek while elegant
BMW, no disrespect to BMW fans but they got me confused.
Uhhhhhhhh no
The New Vantage Design was shit
The DBX/707
Is shit
@@KUROSHURA 🪞
@@FOUNDATIONALBLACKAFRICAN Don’t believe me? The One-77 was the pinnacle of Aston Martin Design. Thereafter it went to shit.
It’s great seeing him doing car redesigns/sketches again!

I’m glad AM is returning to the Ian Callum esque design.
I wish they had done the same with the rear tail lights, that’s what irked me the most with the previous designs

agree with the cat
I prefer the pre facelift, to be honest
I like how AM are keeping the rear pretty much identical, but I think instead of going back to the designs they used before the current vantage should build off and evolve from the current one

Is there a pano roof option in new models?
Damn, I actually really like the interior, but I do like the new DB 12 interior more
Looks like the new Mini
Imo the best looking aston is the dbs
Or one-77
We share the same likeness. It goes DBS, the one from the DB9 version, then the vanquish, One-77, V12 vantage s and finally DB7 vantage

love the video but please 🙏🏽🙏🏽 review the lucid gravity design
Headlights look miles better. The current ones make it look like a mazda
Looks like from GTA V
Awesome love the channel
one of my favorite GT s ever. 🖤🖤🖤
Well, we don’t have long to wait. Dealer introduction is January 26 and the public introduction I believe is going to be before February 14.

I wonder if electric/hybrid will ever come to AM? You’d think they’ll have to at least have a minimal PHEV or something
The only update the Vantage needs is the interior, hopefully they'll follow the style of the DB12.
Finally, it is happening ♥️
I'm hearing talk that the new power output is in excess of 650bhp
The new bug eye design is actually a step back because this vantage was based on the DB10 featured on one of the bond films. This redesign looks more like a tacked on nose job only refresh that cheapens out the platform.
It’s called an LCI. Life cycle Impulse. They don’t change the entire body style but make minor changes to the existing car.
Sketch Monkey sketching again??? Be still, my heart!
This looks much better than the last one.))
Always thought the headlights looked like beady little eyes, so no loss there. Shame no third pedal.
Headlights look like they were pulled off of a Ford Puma.
I can't believe you have something negative to say about one of the most beautiful Aston Martins, the Vantage.

They fixed the front finally
Great sketch man, looks great. The car's design looks like it should have been like this from the beginning, it looks timeless like this. While i never really disliked the previous/current look.
lets gooooooo more of this
@TheSketchMonkey That front facia, especially around the headlights, reminds me of the new 2024 AMG GT by Mercedes-Benz.
I think they've just ruined the front to be honest. Fucks sake
idk it looks like the new BRZ to me
Your redesign reminds me of a Jaguar XK

Waiting for the DBS replacement
For the first time the vantage could look better than its big brother. And the DB12 is no slouch either.
They completely ruined the headlights imo. The old one was leagues better
Hate how looks like a alpine A110
Yea I see that, and the alpine looks better, this looks like a lowered coupe version of a Ford Puma.
Looks like a db7 to me
I sold my Vantage a few months ago as I knew there was a facelift coming. However, I’m not sure I like the look of this new version.
I think horizontal lights make Astons(and ferraris) look like Miatas. Both cars should have "vertical" lights.
I've always liked the back of this just the front didn't grow on me. I also don't like the random black pannle on the side
i exp3ected miata to look more similar to this instead of looking angry
MUCH WORSE front end. they fked up yet again
Make the Aston Martin look like an old F-type; make the new F-Type look like an old Jaguar. Bravo.👏🏻 They must think we’re fools.
That looks horrendous :/
At this point Aston martin's entry level would be superior to their flagship dB series, kind of like Ferrari with its 296gtb.
Forget the car. I like your cat better.
Aston desperately needs to throw the Mercedes infotainment in the trash and install their own system like in the DB12.
It has a Mercedes engine. Is it starting to look like a Mercedes as well?
Is anyone thinking it looks like a Jag
I own a DB11 and prefer the narrower (less tall) front grill.
I will be extremely disappointed if the interior design still stays the same after 6 years.
Looks like a fish in the front 😅....the back hasn't changed which is ok I guess 😕
Always felt like the current vantage looked like a bottom feeder or like the lady from The Grudge with no lower jaw.
Even though this facelift looks more classic, the overall design looks more cohesive than before.
James is s Legend. His 'friends' these days aren't my cup of tea - Mike, Bootsy and Kyle Justin were the shit.
Meh
Suv owners are not allowed to comment 😊
Yet another pointless obsolete ICE vehicle. What I'm waiting for is the Lucid powered Aston Martin electric car which will be far superior to any Aston Martin ICE vehicle.
Now that this car is released your photoshop was VERY CLOSE 🥂🫡
