    I bought this pattern a couple weeks ago along with the yarn. I feel much better knowing you have provided a tutorial! I love your tutorials!! In case people don't know, you can slow down the speed of the video by going to the three dots in the upper right hand corner of the screen and change the playback speed.

I didn’t see anything in the description forbidding the way you distribute this beautiful afghan but I wanted to make sure it was okay. May I make one along with you to give as a gift to my mother? Hi Jonna, thank you so much for sharing this very pretty pattern. I'm going to try it out but I must admit that I am intimidated by the extended double crochets. I cannot see exactly where you are putting the stitch. Wish me luck as I want to complete this so badly 🥰

    • @JonnaMartinezCrochet
      @JonnaMartinezCrochet  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello Jens! Try not to stress over them. Just remember they go in the middle stitch of that arch right below. 👍
      And the extended double crochet is just a double crochet except you yarn over and extra time to pull through that first loop.
      Good luck! Take your time. Thank you for watching and commenting! 💞

    I'm having difficulty figuring out how you get 40 stitches in row 3. Row 2 had 24 stitches, so an increase row would have 36 [24 + 1/2(24)]. I keep pulling my work and trying again, but it looks like I'll have to throw extra stitches somewhere to match you?

    • @JonnaMartinezCrochet
      @JonnaMartinezCrochet  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So for round 2 you have 24 stitches.
      Then if you look closely at round 3, every 3 stitches we are placing 5 stitches.
      24 divided by 3 equals 8. Then 5 times 8 equals 40.
      So that’s how’s we have 40 stitches.
      You’re placing a front post double crochet and double crochet in first and third stitches =4 then one double crochet in between them +1 =5.
      I hope this helps clear things up.

      @@JonnaMartinezCrochet thank you I'll try it again. I kept replaying so many times and missed that. It kept processing as a DC and FPDC DC repeat only giving me 36!

    WOW! You do such beautiful work, thank you so much for your time. I have crocheted some of your beautiful work and you made it very easy to understand. I hope you will have video #3 ready when I get to it. Are there 3 videos to complete this blanket? Also, if I want to make it larger, what is the multiple? Thank you again, keep up the good work.

      @harriethorne7999 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can do 4 or 5 chains then slip stitch into the first chain then do the first round as normal.

    I’m on Row 6. Don’t know if my tension is too tight but it curls up instead of laying flat like the demo.

    • @JonnaMartinezCrochet
      @JonnaMartinezCrochet  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you are sure you have all the right stitches than it would be your tension.
      Pull it out to lay flat or repeat the last row with a bigger hook.
