    Just got done hitting with this string at 45 lbs in my Pro Staff 97 as recommended by Troy and Chris. Wow! It felt crisp as Troy said, but yet has tons of control and loads of spin. What shocks me is that it feels so comfortable, if I didn't know I would think I was hitting with a multi. Could've been the low tension, as this is the first time I've ever strung it this low. So easy to take full cuts at the ball, loads of spin to keep it in, and super comfortable on the arm.

    So which one would be better the tour bite or big hitter? What about tension maintenance and playability compared to tour bite and also how would this compare to rpm blast?

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This string and Tour Bite are very similar, playability, and tension maintenance. RPM Blast feels slightly softer, when it is fresh, but it loses its tension rather quickly. Give this one a try, see what you think. Troy, TW

    Love me Yonexes too. No heel pain since I start wearing them, on clay.

      Thanks! Yes, the comfort is pretty good with these Yonex shoes, and I find the fit a little better with these Fusion Rev 3's, than I found with the Eclipsion 2's. That said, I liked the underfoot cushioning a bit better with the Eclipsion 2's. Troy, TW

    Thanks for a great review TennisWarehouse! I was wondering what tension you would recommend using the 17g version of this string on a Head Gravity Pro.

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The tension has a lot to do with personal preference, but maybe somewhere around 52 pounds. Some of our testers would go lower, like 48 pounds, and some a bit tighter around 55. Troy, TW

    • @tenniswarehouse

    Great review! Troy, your string reviews and recommendations have always been spot on, at least for me. Quick question - how does this string compare with the Tecnifibre Black Code 4S? Their tension maintenance seem to be similar...

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you for the feedback, and glad to help. The tension maintenance is just as good as Black Code 4S, if not a bit better. That said, the closest string I could draw comparisons to is Tour Bite, and I find this string and Tour Bite to feel a bit more firm, and crisp compared to Black Code 4S. I would have to give the edge in comfort to the Black Code 4S, and spin potential is great with all three strings. Troy, TW

    Can this string be used as Hybrid with the other string(s)? Is Silver 7 used as Mains and other as Cross? What tension is best for main and cross?

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use this string in a hybrid with whatever string you would like to. However, being that it does have sharp edges, we probably wouldn't recommend it in a hybrid with a softer string material, such as a multifilament or natural gut. Some players like to experiment with a hybrid of two different co-poly string, so in that case it could be worth a try, with like a softer smoother co-poly. Troy, TW

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This one feels more firm and crisp. The Signum Pro X-Perience feels more comfortable, and softer in comparison. Both are great options and offer easy access to spin, but if you seek a more comfortable feeling co-poly then go with the X-Perience, If you want a more firm/crisp feeling string, Silver 7 Tour is a good choice. You should probably go thicker with the string, instead of 1.25 go with a 16 gauge 1.30, or possible consider strings like Solinco Hyper-G or Tour Bite 15L (1.35). Also it seem like you have been using shaped polys so you could try going to a round shaped poly and go with a 1.30mm. I am a fan of Hyper-G, so I would go with the 15L 1.35mm and see how long that lasts for you. Troy, TW
