Thanks for your videos, I enjoy them, they are easier to listen to and understand. Glad there was no thunder in Salem. We need the rain which is common for our fall season and beyond.
Rod, you mentioned that there wasn’t much wind at the coast. My neighbor’s roof would beg to differ. Check out Michael Snyder’s live feed (Pacific Northwest Weather Watch) from here in Ocean Shores. His anemometer readings and wave reports were most impressive. There were many area power outages as well. The warnings rang quite true here.
Dearest Rod, Thank you for the forecast. We all truly appreciate it a lot. Thank you, and take care, and have a wonderful evening. From West Salem, Oregon
We had rain off and on today with thunderstorms and lightning in the Willamette Valley Oregon area several times today. Right now just wet. Thank you for the updated forecast. Looking forward to a few days of sunshine without rain. Trying to get the summer veggies up and gone or canned. Then we want to get the garlic in the ground before it's too late. So I can't wait for a few days without rain. Have a great rest of your week.
Best to over warn? To a certain extent I can see why. However to consistently over warn can ‘water down’ credibility and trust. Then when a real storm arises some may doubt to their demise.

Rod thanks for the great forecast! Hey, when are they going to add a weather radar station central or coast?!
I know the fight to secure funding continues, but have not heard an update

All true and agreed, but the worst case is an unwarned storm. NWS in my opinion has a good track record regarding wind warnings over past years.
