Anyone looking to purchase, make sure to keep in mind you’re gonna need to plug up the BPV hole that is now left open because of the vacuum hose removal. I had bought the plug SE offers without realizing it’s only intended for their own intake kit. For obvious reasons, it didn’t fit my AEM intake. As of right now, about an 1 post-installation, I have it covered up with multi-layers of duct tape and hope it’ll hold until I find a permanent solution.
So am I the only one to notice there was a completely different intake on the car at the end? That skips the part about capping the intake tube with a 7/8 rubber chair leg cap.
Do you all have a video on how to install your Alcantara shifter/shift boot in cars with the DCT? How do you remove the factory shifter/leather boot and then install yours?
just a question are u venting to atmosphere and blocked off the blow off return hose on the intake and also is there anything on the blow off valve 1.6t smart stream that needs to be adjusted or is adjustable
Thanks for the video! I installed my SXTH element BOV today on the stock air intake and had to use electrical tape to close of the hole where the recirc valve was attaching to the intake. I’m not getting any turbo flutter like you but I do have a small woosh in high rpms. How would I be able to get the flutter?
@@-Ncrypt When the compressed air has nowhere to go, it causes the turbo rotational speed to rapidly drop, and attempts to push against the wheel. Nope. I have the CF intake u saw at the end .. stock BOV/recirc valve .. same flutter sound. Not as crisp and loud if a PSSSSST I highly recommend the carbon fiber intake with that air box. It’s great and looks so gorgeous

yes turbo flutter or "compressor surge" is really bad for turbos. The fan blades are literally chopping the back pressure air as it makes it's way past the turbo in the opposite direction. Bad because that puts an immense amount of friction and stress on the turbo.
Wait, so you guys sell the most expensive BOV for Hyundai/ Kia cars yet you can't bother to include a rubber gasket for it? Your competitor(GFB) is $100 cheaper and provides that gasket. I get you guys do great stuff for Hyundai/Kia platforms and have the quality but really? Skimp on things like that while charging $100 more?
Anything you change in the engine will void the warranty. Try to ask the warranty department and see if they can install it instead to keep the warranty.
@@EMJ_USPSA Unless your mod breaks something or changes a fundamental function of the vehicle (transmission or engine swap for example) they can't void your warranty for a mod. And even then, they'd have to prove your mod caused the damage.
U can’t “void” a warranty. BUT if an aftermarket part causes a problem they can deny a warranty claim. BOV is one of those to watch out for.. And tunes. They’re super fast and easy to swap out. 30 mins tops
$220usd BOV and they won't even supply a new oem seal with it, what a joke. You have to pluck your old seal out of your factory unit to save a few bucks (for their company). I have bought SXTH products and they are cheap, poorly designed and terrible quality. Their after sales support is rubbish too when, not if, you have an issue with one of their parts. I will never buy another one of their parts again.

Everything else just makes you sound like a bitter person as you gave no indication of the products you purchased from them and the issues you had with said products. I've received nothing but quality parts, the one time I did have an issue. It was resolved within days, sxth sent me the same part I ordered before receiving my defective part back. They sent a shipping label and told me to return as soon as i got the time. I've always gotten great feedback from Mark and Tanner and they have always answered promptly. Even on the weekend they were responding to me quickly. Show me some proof and you'll have a leg to stand on.. till then I call bullshit on everything you said.
The intake I picked up from them was awesome, sure it took a month to arrive, but what doesn’t with the manufacturing delays from COVID... it was very well built when it finally showed up, they’ll definitely have my business again.

The advertisement for this product popped up in my feed and I felt the need to voice my opinion on the fact that they require you to reuse a cheap seal from your OEM part rather than pay the 30 cents to supply a new one. It isn't a cheap part and having to reuse a cheap seal on it is a fucking ripoff! Doesn't turbo flutter mean it's ruining your turbo? Is that a fake "flutter" from the AV6?
