Good Morning A! 🤍 This could be Bob's most grave song which captures such a sheer despondency! There is one tiny shining key of resolution of hope though in this stanza: "It’s bright in the heavens and the wheels are flying Fame and honor never seem to fade The fire’s gone out but the light is never dying Who says I can’t get heavenly aid?" There is another line that my spirit cannot agree to even when at times my mind and emotions might. "They’ll be no mercy for you once you’ve lost." When we are lost, that is precisely the time to seek mercy. People think they need to fix themselves before asking for what Bob is calling "Heavenly aid" but it is opposite. We seek it when things are bleak and dark and we offer up all of it just as it is and just as we are.
