This particular one is considerably more complex than a regular escapement. It was designed for pocket watches to counteract the effect of gravity. As pocket watches sit in your pocket without moving around, a tourbillon will rotate the escapement to spread out any wear or stress evenly.
For those who don’t know what they’re looking at, it’s a simplified mechanical watch escapement, these can be viewed and utilized in mechanical watches you can buy for yourself!
This is a mechanism from watches. It is called a tourbillon, its purpose was to counteract the gravitational forces so they don't affect the balance wheel.
I just can't get my head around the thought of watching so many 3D printed tourbillion but when it comes to actual manufacture, brands will say it is "extremely difficult".
I mean, I'm certain the massive difference in scale presents all kinds of engineering issues. You definitely couldn't just 3D print one of these small enough to fit on your wrist, using the exact same materials, and expect it to function.
Hey man, I've been watching your stuff for a while, amazing content. I really specifically enjoy this short. I love the minimalist asmr of the assembly, i think it fits your videos perfectly, keep em coming! I mean it this format is amazing
The way it’s designed and the use of the colors purple and gold kind of makes it look like a design you would see on a Beyblade for some reason. I like Beyblades. So, I think it’s cool.
Those are 1.5mm diameter steel rods that you can usually find in RC hobby stores. I got them from Ali express, you can simply search for 1.5mm ejector pins or 1.5mm stainless steel rods.
Someone explained this mechanism to me like this: it is a primitive battery that can take a small amount of energy and release it bit by bit. Fascinating.
That is bitchin man great work if you made that. I've always loved gearing ratios, gears, time pieces, all that and recently I've been wanting to learn it. Amazing
"I made this. I dont know what it does, Im not interested in finding it out either."
It's a clock
Turbillon
Great summary
its the same mechanism you eould find in "automatic" or "mechanical movements" involving with watches

man clockwork mechanisms like this had always fascinated me
This is a tourbillion, there are some great explanations on TH-cam, watches with this complication are usually £80,000 at least
Not the mimic tear I’ve been searching For
After learning some basics in fusion, I'm looking at these so differently. I love this hobby!
Anybody know how to learn how much gap is best between the poles and the holes? Sometimes my prints nicely snap in and other times too loose.
Wow

To be more precise, it is a tourbillion escapement mechanism.
more than that, it’s a whole tourbillon.
3d printing is literally magic
Thanks for this. All of your clock designs are ingenious
You made a tourbillon movement! Well done I love the 3d printed spring. Great work!
Oh, the background looks very promising 😊👌
Congrats this tourbillon is beautiful you're one talented design beast

You're one step ahead to do a fully 3D printed mechanical watch!!! Do it please! This is amazing!
I neeed to print this. There goes my weekend

another amazing design! 👏😌

Why did it take me so long to find your channel? 3D printing + mechanical escapement = perfection
amazing! what printer you have to give such perfect results?
Isso é tão satisfatório de ver, mecânica legal, 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍.
That's a beautiful 3d printed tourbillon!
Perfect illustration of the use of 3d printing.
Instructions unclear, accidentally opened a Portal and fell into Clockwork Realm......
I have no flippin idea what that is.
But it sure looks DAMN COOL !
"Sweet now make it a mask!" Just went ocin my head

Looks like you had to push it round with your finger looks good though
I especially love the choice of colours ❤️
For some reason, I wanna place it on my waist, spin it and then scream "Henshin!" Don't know why tho
Lol whahahahahah I also want to do that kamen rider is one of my childhood memories
when you started building this it reminded me of the insides of a watch
Whoa, I love Clockwork, however, couldn't you have used a metal ribbon spring?
Wouldn't the plastic one be at risk of snapping?
well now I need to make a giant clockwork room filled with every single thing like this

What a beautiful mechanism.
The sound is so good.
The purple makes it look like something out of metroid
Objectively best ASMR that makes a cool thingy, too.
Nice.
Tourbillon watch movement inside a wing jet! How genious!😊
Lovely little movement ☺️

just discovered this gem of a channel!!
These new Beyblades look dope 🔥🔥🔥
This is a very nice escapement
Can we get this man a metal 3d printer
That’s one of the parts in a pocket watch or automatic winding watch. Pretty cool to be able to 3D print that
This machine making free energy

That was beautiful😍 I love the video
Keep it up!
Don't know that I could build it without breaking something but I love the design and I could see it being a desk toy
This has to be the future of clock or watch making!!
It reminds me of a mechanical watch mechanism, which has been around for over 500 years
For 1 video he had wait for at least 1-2 weeks to 3d print those items. Salute 🫡 to this person

How do you get your 3D prints so precise? Your moving parts go together flawlessly!
Buy a Bumbu Lab Carbon x1 and it will be precise.

What's it for? Is it a finished product?
It feels like it has so much potential!
