Also, they reveal that Shigaraki is Nana Shimira's grandson during All-Might's last fight.
It's really sweet that Hawks looked up to Endeavor as a kid and that's (part of) what led him to become a hero. He acted cool but I wonder if the child inside him was fanboying it out. There's more to their story to come.
I'm glad that season 6 episode 1 skipped being a recap episode of everyone's powers. Even for season 5, if you're just jumping into my hero and you start with season 5, it's on you for not knowing people's powers, they could have skipped that. There's no reason this episode should have ended on the same shot as the season 4 finale
I read somewhere that in Bones’ contract to adapt MHA they had to have a recap episode at the start of each season, and they renewed it this year to not have to do that, which is why S6 doesn’t have a recap episode but the other seasons do
Yeah I'm glad they got rid of the recap for season 6. I personally would never start watching a show in the middle of its run. You start from the beginning and catch up to where it's currently at.

The dynamic between Hawks and Dabi is a very interesting one. Hawks is trying to fool Dabi into getting to meet Shigaraki and the others. But Dabi isn't an idiot. And he definitely doesn't trust Hawks after one lackluster mission where he tried super hard to save everyone. We get a lot of insight into Dabi this episode. He seemed to be looking forward to meeting Endeavor but he also had no problem leaving once he saw that the fight might get prolonged due to interference. And he actually seems to be thinking about Snatch's final words. But also, All For One being in jail raises the question, if Tartarus is constantly monitoring him so he can't use his quirks, how did Dabi escape using the same quirk AFO used back in S3? Dabi is just one big question mark. Speaking of All For One, he is honestly one of my favorite villains in the show. Not because he has crazy amounts of depth or a super interesting philosophy, but man just lives to troll people. With that big smile on his face at all times. He just enjoys messing with people's heads and it's great. This episode also mentions something about singularity. Which has been mentioned a fair bit in the past. Quirk singularity. The idea that one day, quirks will become so powerful that they won't be able to be controlled and society will be doomed because of it. Biggest example of that is Shoto. He has the best of both worlds due to his father and mother. But what if a few generations down the line, the quirk becomes so powerful that it can't be turned off? Or it becomes so powerful that the user can't control it? Questions to ponder.
i mean the singularity is only for deku's special combination of quirks, theres no reason to assume quirks get stronger every generation, shoto was specifically bred as the ideal combination but as he has multiple older siblings it's clear it's kind of random, deku on the other hand has the quirk of passing on power as well as the stockpiling which spent about 8-9 lifetimes strengthening, a unique case for quirks, as they allude to several times, quirks themselves are rarely very spectacular, someone like shoto/bakugo with such a flashy show of power is rare and thats why they're in UA, many folks like the one AfO transferred quirks from are just weird looking (sort of like the mutants in marvel, sure you have people with cool telekinesis, but you also have people like beast and toad

The whole point of the Remedial Course arc with Bakugo, Shoto and those children was to show that all of the children had super powerful quirks that were amplified over generations. The initial quirk people had mediocre quirks. But as time has passed, there have been more cases of people being born with super powerful quirks. It's not specifically about Deku. Quirks become stronger if it's passed from parent to child. And if the other parent has an equally strong quirk, it's passed on as well. And so on and so forth. The quirk doomsday theory was created way before Deku was even a thought.
Hawks is/has been working for the public safety commission. The guys that come up with a the rules the heroes follow. And he started working with them right after that flashback.

Everybody loves Mirko's character design. But lets be fair about it. Even most professional female athletes don't have the sort of muscle mass and definition that Mirko has. She's practically a female body builder. So I wouldn't say it is fair to read anything into other female characters not having that much muscle.
