The wonderful thing about The Stanley Parable is that it's so surreal. One moment it feels very normal, then it's hilarious, then it's happy, then it's sad, then it's scary, then it's confusing, then it's clever, then it's over, then it begins. I can't wait for this game to be released!
+DinoDoesStuff I love that here hes going in blind. Its better then with the main game where he knew it already. As most of his videos are which he doesnt enter with a finished opinion, positiv or negative.
Just noticed that the Emotion Booths actually have all the emotions in them that were listed in the Raphael trailer for the game. I suppose it makes sense when you think about it. ALIVE BUT WITH NO KNEES
Julianna B. There's a fan-made map for TSP called The Raphael Parable, and it has the 8 Game in it. I also heard that someone on gamejolt is working on an RPG version of the 8 Game, though idk why anyone would do that.
This… this is… one of the truly greatest things I have ever seen. In places, I was laughing so hard I couldn’t breathe. I had to pause it and catch my breath.
I just played this myself, and... I'm so glad that I'm not the only one whose yelps are now recorded ;) I love the way that you back cautiously away from the lift doors as they open at the end... and I stared at that title card for about half a minute before I realized I was meant to do something!
took the fourth wall to the void between dimensions. then smashed it with a hammer, and used a time machine to prevent its creation therefore creating a paradox in which it infinitely loops. *lungs empty*
I think that door you could go through was the actual fourth wall itself, and instead of it not working, dan\everyone else who went through it ended up in an alternate universe of the game where the fourth wall doesn't exist. That would explain why the the game constantly goes through it and connects with our world and messes with us changing our perception of time and control. Or maybe when we walked through that wall, we physically traveled into the stanley parable and became stanley himself. DONT YOU SEE STANLEY, THIS IS WHAT ART REALLY IS!!! Every line on the floor is carefully placed and crafted into an adventure into the mind so that it changes your way of thinking and how you perceive your every day life as you get closer and closer to your destiny to des over the true meaning of life, and what it means to be truly human. THAT IS WHAT ART IS! Now it's time to carry on with this journey by pressing the button to victory!
Wait one of the screens say “uncontrollable bleeding from every Orifice”…. *made in abyss flashbacks* edit: ok so I think that in my pov that the world where tsp takes place is in a made in abyss like theme where instead of a hole it’s a cave.. and the office is underground and some of the side effects are a thing that can happen to you.. and basically to escape the time loop curse is by going in the escape pod (because they can go damn fast)
I scroll down looking for another video, then I hear this: Dan: BOOP Narr: Did you know 94% of all people who select that particular button are sexual Predators. *scrolling up as fast as I can halfway in tears from laughter trying to find out what happened
when you intercept the youtube spectrum by minecraft's official release and are able to see a demonstration for a game that would end up also getting a far more iconic full release
When I say the little bell light up from a like, I watched the video again and the same part made me jump even though i was thinking about it and ready for it
I'm not a doctor or anything, but. Umm... How do I put this. My brain melted, got mushed up, put in a freezer, blended in a blender, then given a choice. only for it to create alternate endings. Yea. I'm getting this game.
same. I used to be subscribed to the Yogscast, they were the first TH-camrs I watched that I remember, but recently I unsubscribed them, because they weren't like the memories I had of them, not anymore. And when I was depressed that night under a week ago, I watched NerdCubed (and Northerlion but that's because I JUST subscribed to him and everything he had was new to me). I was never bored of Dan's content for more than a week at a time, and that would be very rare indeed. I've been subscribed to him for probably two years now. I love NerdCubed, he's my favorite TH-camr.
I know like 3 or 4 videos ago you said you are never gonna do Nerd3 complete ever again in your entire life of everness, but you HAVE to do this! IT'D SO AWESOME!
lel there was a secret in the emotion booths where theres a place you can go through to get the secret emotion booth named "secret" where you can disco
Where he was told to put the cup in the bin, and then called iit good gameplay or something. It's a reference to putting the can in the bin when the combine tells you to.
The Gmod map was awesome and I am beyond overjoyed that this is now an actual game, retaining both it's comedy, empty space where the fourth wall should've been, total confusion and most importantly; the narrator returns. Hopefully not evil this time.
Did no one else realise that the emotions box he chose was discovery, which eventually led him on a journey of discovery, yet he also decided to walk into despair, therefore, causing his journey of discovery to be riddled with despair.
8:20 Even though you will have done Buttons & Choice by the time you enter that main room, I would recommend going back in there, if only for an extra laugh.
it's so entertaining watching dan slowly begin to fall in love with this game. his initial reaction to the sex offender joke was fantastic.
11:58 - One of the side effects is "Standing in a large green room looking at a list of side effect".
the moment I knew this was my kind of game
Also, below it;
“Understanding exactly what this game is and how it plays and what you do and how you win and then deleting it off your hard drive and doing something else.”
this game is legendary
That’s very meta

COINCIDENCE!? I THINK NOT!!!

Luke Gibb which one
MitruMesre sorry acually read it you didn't
Doggy Gaming
One of the side effects is forgetting about one of the side effects!
MitruMesre You made my day.
This is BY FAR the best demo I've ever seen.
Even better than the game.
@@mrpages6384 Well...
When the narrator remembers you being in the demo making facility, you can actually walk through the work in progress wall if you are fast enough!
and then?
you can also stay in the 8 room and the waiting room for some extra dialogue
who else noticed that the booths were swapped? despair had words of discovery and discovery had words of despair.
Nerdcubed spends more time in the demo than in the main game...
Because he didn't want to spoil it. It's a game where the more you know, the less you enjoy.
i agree
jmannetje1 he did all of the demo and barely any of the full game why SPOILERS
The wonderful thing about The Stanley Parable is that it's so surreal. One moment it feels very normal, then it's hilarious, then it's happy, then it's sad, then it's scary, then it's confusing, then it's clever, then it's over, then it begins. I can't wait for this game to be released!
"Its one of those games" If only he knew...
+DinoDoesStuff It's not just one of those games, it IS that game.
+DinoDoesStuff I love that here hes going in blind. Its better then with the main game where he knew it already. As most of his videos are which he doesnt enter with a finished opinion, positiv or negative.
what's so perfect about this demo is that this is EXACTLY what The Stanley Parable is like
When he was in the despair booth, I saw the word education. So true.
One of the sentences in the despair booth was "Having a moustache" XD
And in discovery there was 'Owning a boat'.
Just noticed that the Emotion Booths actually have all the emotions in them that were listed in the Raphael trailer for the game.
I suppose it makes sense when you think about it.
ALIVE BUT WITH NO KNEES
I love auto-generated captions..."Hello pair crass donators"
God this was 8 years ago. Still amazing
Can you leave a link of where to purchase the 8 game?
Ooo I hope you can mod it too. Like maybe the... 7 GAME!!! :D
@Pedro Wyatt well this is a poor attempt
Wtf I found Hutts
Wow hutts insane
Hutts watch nerd???
@@GhostGlitch. I mean... everyone watches nerd
I don't know why but NerdCubed's constant stream of "right", "OK", "WHAT?!" and maniacal laughter make this so much more hilarious XD
17:44
"Pick up that can."
rrr598 cup not can
Shindinder It was a reference to Half-Life 2
"Pick up that trash can"
The fourth wall got attacked with am RPG during this demo and even more so during the main game
3:55
perfectly timed anticipation for end of video
Fuck me; when Dan jumped at 21:15, I MAY have had a tiny, teeny-weeny heart attack >.>
Lol yeah me too xD..
I was checking facebook and suddenly he got me scared when he shouted "AHH" xD
The 8 button does appear in the real game...
Does it really? I've seen the 1-5 ones, but not 8...
You know when you use the password thing? If you press 8888 it says 8 in the same voice.
Oh. You sounded like that same white 8 button was there :P
oh. Sorry. :)
Julianna B. There's a fan-made map for TSP called The Raphael Parable, and it has the 8 Game in it. I also heard that someone on gamejolt is working on an RPG version of the 8 Game, though idk why anyone would do that.
He didn't realize it said "demonstation"
+SundiacGaming I think you missed the point.
+SundiacGaming the game title on steam said "demo" but in the game it said "demonstation"
demo means demonstration
+IPLAYGAMES you have to read more carefully. I am saying "demonstation" not "demomtration". There is no r.
Look in the thumbnail, there's a typo that says demonstation, not demostration
This… this is… one of the truly greatest things I have ever seen. In places, I was laughing so hard I couldn’t breathe. I had to pause it and catch my breath.

World's greatest video game demo!
Fourth wall so hard...
Fucking smashed it to pieces.
took the fourth wall to the void between dimensions. then smashed it with a hammer, and used a time machine to prevent its creation therefore creating a paradox in which it infinitely loops. *lungs empty*
I like games that phase through the fourth wall, open your door and make itself a cup of coffee.
Orion Nelson
ooh, i do so ever hope that The Stanley Parable makes me a hot chocolate while he's at it!
I think that door you could go through was the actual fourth wall itself, and instead of it not working, dan\everyone else who went through it ended up in an alternate universe of the game where the fourth wall doesn't exist. complete the real thing
please
I might be the only person to notice rhis, but the second time you go into the STANLEY PARABLE DEMONSTRATION sign, it actually says DEMONSTATION.
The game's anniversary LET US CELEBRATE IN THE BROOM CLOSET WITH TEA
My favourite ending.
SPY!
ey mate! did you get the broom closet ending? that ending was the best!
Go
EDADE
GhostingGhost Did you get the Broom Closet ending? The Broom Closet ending was my favorite!
I wanna play the 8 game
Easily the best demo I've ever played. I wanted to see how the game worked on my computer, and I played the demo for a half hour or so.
I just realized at 13:14 it says Stanley parable demonstation
it said demonstation.
demonstation.
demon station.
can't be good.
I like how he explains the full game at the end
Except he doesn't
None of that happens
It was exactly twenty minutes from when the narrator told dan to stay still for twenty minutes to the end of the video...
"Vomiting"
"Eating your vomit"
"Vomiting your vomit"
It says wait here for 20 minutes I looked and saw there was nearly exactly 20 minutes left.
Same I noticed that too.
I scroll down looking for another video, then I hear this: Dan: BOOP Narr: Did you know 94% of all people who select that particular button are sexual Predators. *scrolling up as fast as I can halfway in tears from laughter trying to find out what happened
this is the first nerdcubed video I ever watched.
Kawaii Pichu U FOKIN WOT M7
I,LL BASH YE!!!
Ahh i love people arguing over what they think important. it gets me teary every time😢
Jamie Shinners I'LL SHERK YA!
So how about stop hating the small things in life and just take life's punches and be happy.
Think it's quite funny how the video ended 20 mins after it said wait 20 mins
unbelievable combination, Nerd³ and Stanly Parable Demo results in epic fun
lol one of the side effects said "rock solid abs" 8|
look at the bottom left television at 11:57
when he entered the 8 room there was about 8 minutes left on the video.
+DinoDoesStuff And it was 7:08 my time
8 confirmed
JLD8264 Not anymore!
DinoDoesStuff god damn it
AND there's a achievement called "8888888888888888".
OHMYGOD I HOPE THIS KIND OF HUMOUR IS IN THE FINAL GAME BECAUSE THAT WAS AMAZING.
did anybody notice that on the dispair booth it said taylor swift
Does any one else notice the Demonstation? The fact that it's missing the R?
***** Yes.
It's not missing a R?
all aboard the mindfuck express, next stop: demon-station, final destination: fourth wall.
The demo was so well done, this narrator surely is one of a kind.
At 13:06 does it say "demonstation" or "demonstration"?
0_o
11:58 I FOUND A SPELLING ERROOOOOOOOORRRRRR. In the bottom left screen it says "HEY WHY CAN'T YOU REPSECT" on one of the lines instead of *respect*!
I think the joke is that you can’t respect a typing error.
when you intercept the youtube spectrum by minecraft's official release and are able to see a demonstration for a game that would end up also getting a far more iconic full release
those emotion booths don't seem to be working right. all I could feel was laughter.
Demonstation... Demonstation... wait Demon... Station? Demon Station? We"RE ALL IN HELL!!!!!
21:15 the fact that it didn’t startle me when he got to the main room somehow but I got startled when he yelped about teleporting to the main room.
In discovery it said "bad at gramma"
* gramer (no I'm just joking its grammar)
I can't believe you knew nothing about this game and haven't played the last one.
One of the side effects was "Standing in a large green room reading a list of side effects."
And another one was generally being a dick.
That 8 room: Gr8 b8 m8 I r8 8/8
Aiden Nelson my favorite part was the closing g8
No h8
Oh no I'm l8!
This demo actually is true that it allows you to know what the game is, amazing commentary. AMAZING commentary.
did nobody notice that the part where you exit the green room to play "the demo" read demonstation and not demonstration
Exactly *EIGHT* minuets.
At 21:20 dan scared the shit out of me omg
When I say the little bell light up from a like, I watched the video again and the same part made me jump even though i was thinking about it and ready for it
7:34 Did anyone see having a mustache in despair? xD?
I'm not a doctor or anything, but. Umm... How do I put this. My brain melted, got mushed up, put in a freezer, blended in a blender, then given a choice. only for it to create alternate endings. Yea. I'm getting this game.
nerd, when im depressed you are the only one that can cheer me up, my compliments :D

It was a window, one of those fancy ones that goes down to the ground. Those sheets were vertical window blinds.
*E I G H T*
21:15 made me jump. Damm you
One of the sentences from the "Discovery" booth was "bad at grammar" XD
"Demonstation"
nerdcubed plays... garrys mod
I know like 3 or 4 videos ago you said you are never gonna do Nerd3 complete ever again in your entire life of everness, but you HAVE to do this! IT'D SO AWESOME!

I hate the new youtybe comment section
OMG THE 8 BUTTON! that's such a stanley parable thing to do
8 game...
XD

your intro with subtitles is hilarious
I'm pretty sure that Vriska Serket would love this game.
on the steam train demo, they actually changed the dialogue in game to directly speak to Danny and Ross, so the narrator uses their names
The guys from gametube were pressing the eight-button for nearly two hours!
10yrs later and god knows how many times I've watched this video. Absolute classic
When Dan yelled after he teleported out of the Isolation Room I screamed too.
All those flashbacks where he teleported you to places (like the stairs and catwalk) were callbacks to the mod version :3
lel there was a secret in the emotion booths where theres a place you can go through to get the secret emotion booth named "secret" where you can disco
theres a secret booth behind the other 2 then you crouch and you go in and then im not gonna spoil it for you
Where he was told to put the cup in the bin, and then called iit good gameplay or something. It's a reference to putting the can in the bin when the combine tells you to.
An gold classic
The Gmod map was awesome and I am beyond overjoyed that this is now an actual game, retaining both it's comedy, empty space where the fourth wall should've been, total confusion and most importantly; the narrator returns.
Hopefully not evil this time.
That license plate that was repeated is a secret code for the full game. If u enter it, you get the 8 button game
in the console?
I love how in despair booth you can see 'having a mustache' :D
Did no one else realise that the emotions box he chose was discovery, which eventually led him on a journey of discovery, yet he also decided to walk into despair, therefore, causing his journey of discovery to be riddled with despair.
This really reminded me of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy
Anyone else just now realizing it says in the game, "THE STANLEY PARABLE DEMONSTATION"?
YOU SHOULD'VE KEPT PRESSING THE 8 BUTTON!!!!
8:20
Even though you will have done Buttons & Choice by the time you enter that main room, I would recommend going back in there, if only for an extra laugh.
ive never seen dan so joyfully confused
I have a feeling in the end.. it was a portal reference. The whole catwalk and elevator to the outside and what nots.
