Palawan is not named after Palawan in Philippines. Its most likely malay name for warrior or pahlawan. As the old sentosa name was pulau belakang mati.
Visited Singapore as part of a 3 week holiday in Thailand and Malaysia, this was late 90's and stayed at the Shangri la Sentosa and the private beech was beautiful and clean and very quiet. Witnessed a lightening storm from our room which was amazing. Loved it.
I love Singapore 🇸🇬 the garden city, clean and safe. Wish you guys a wonderful trip in Singapore 👍
You all should visit Singapore zoo. It's really green and pretty.
Most kids would rather be carried, but Koda is so independent. The food looks good and yummy.
I lived there for 7 years and I took membership renewal for Sofitel Hotel for this place in Sentosa, so serene, and delicious foodies! It is a beautiful man-made beach and resorts center - Sentosa Island! Have fun! January in Singapore is usually less warm- around 24-25 degrees celsius at evenings.
The beach of Lazarus island, one of Singapore offshore island is gorgeous.
As an island, Singapore used to have beaches galore. Unfortunately being a small island nation has its cost. As a country that depends on trade, a lot of the coast in the west and the south was turned over to industry and to the harbour. The myriad of ships you saw from the beach is testament to us being the world’s second busiest port. This would spoil the beach vista and meant that the waters off Singapore could never be clear, crystal or otherwise, but we wouldn’t survive without that. Back in the day, Changi beach was the go-to beach for picnics but there would be oil spills from time to time.
By the late 70s when the decision was made to construct Changi Airport, that meant that Changi beach would be only a shadow of its former self. However, being an aviation enthusiast and one who dislikes the sun and the sand, I’d rather Changi Airport than Changi beach any day.
Heyyyy welcome to my hometown 😂😂😂 hope you enjoy here!!!
Do u mean Georgia Caney? The British youtuber that used to live in Singapore....
Palawan beach on Sentosa is man-made I guess. But there are many other natural beaches along the coast of mainland Singapore. And also those on our many small islands.
"Nobody knows" ??? When I was there the beach was completely full and hundreds of huge Cargo boats just in front....
i have been enjoying your tour of Asia. Sentosa Bay has a break from the city
You can go to east cost,st john island, pasir ris.
Why the heck did u let your kid jump on the lounge chair with shoes on!!!
Changi beach has camping plots that can be reserved, great location to spot landing aircraft too
You referring to Amazing Race? They were at Palawan Beach , the Southernmost Point of Continental Asia
Must interest you to know most of the sand on the beachss were imported lol
U didn’t cross the bridge to most Southern Asia continents
sentosa is just called sentosa not sentosa bay cuz its an island and doesn't really have a bay
10 -11m cost of a luxury house there... sand is imported...
u can chew gum in singapore , just not sell
How much Singapore cost u
Sounds like you’re referring to Georgia Caney, who used to live and work here.
yes that's her! 🤗
British girl in sg. Vlog is geogia caney?
There is also Siloso Beach at Sentosa.
Koda ❤❤❤
❤it Singapore
The best beaches in the Philippines are in Boracay.
Welcome to sg
George and Lucy, try to check Veloso beach over there i think just other side the Palawan beach.
There is the high-end enclave of Sentosa Cove just east of the beach where there are luxury condos and detached homes that are mostly owned by wealthy foreigners. Most Singaporeans live up North, East and West of the main island.
You missed to the other 2 beaches in Sentosa. Tanjong Beach and Siloso Beach. It's a total different vibes from Palawan Beach. You have the beach bars at the other 2 beaches
There are many beaches in singapore. Well we are an island haha. East coast beach, changi beach etc. But ya singapore is not known for our beaches. Nth to rave about but at least a place to unwind
👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽💙💯
❤❤❤❤❤❤
😄
the long beach in Singapore is called East Coast Park
January is quite cool in Singapore. :)
There r 3 beaches in Sentosa 👍🏻👍🏻
Average travellers dont stay at ritzy hotels. Most on a budget..
Yea
I been here wrking in 15yrs.
But i dont like the nature, all is not pure😂,,,,....
Why don’t you leave? The wild life here are thriving - obviously loving the not pure nature.
Natural will be natural, reclaimed land for beaches are just not the same. Lol😂
Ah! As to be expected, a Malaysian here to diss on Singapore….. you have natural beaches, so what?
1 in se cure kiasu malusian here to brag about his country malusia as usual!🙄🙄
We couldn’t watch the whole video as they made it as a home movie. When they were visiting a place they were filming each other talking about it and very little video of the sights. They are all about themselves and now their child. So very boring…when we are planning a trip we want to see the area not someone posing for the camera. No thx.
I think it is awesome that they pay tribute to the Philippines by naming a beach Palawan 🏖
The beach in Singapore was not named after the beach in the Philippines tho. Palawan means warrior in malay. Malay is the national language of Singapore
Its not Sentosa used to be A Malay enclave & Pahlawan in Malay means warrior. Its also a fotress during WW11 for the British.
@@manseb5211Fort Siloso?
Fort Siloso is a Fotress during the British rule & its situated in Sentosa itself
Sentosa is peaceful? It's the island where British soldiers "rest in peace". It was called Pulau Mati, which means death island - it's where Japanese kept British PoW and executed hundreds of them during WWII. The locals know it's a haunted island, the Singaporean government rebranded it Sentosa in the 80s and turned it into a resort island for tourists.
Its not called Pulau Mati bt rather Pulau Blakang Mati which translated to English there is death behind the island.
sentosa pahlawan beach is not name after philippine beach tho.
