R.I.P. Ann. Ann only discovered Nightwish when she was over 60 and immediately fell in love with the band. She attended their concert for the first time in 2018 and would have liked to go again this year. Ann was: humane, polite and kind to everyone. She was knowledgeable, understanding, and helpful. That is, a big-hearted person. Like grandmother is supposed to be. She was our own Nightwish grandmother.
Losing Ann feels like losing a family member, Ann is and forever will be my/our Nightwish mommy. She was always so friendly to everyone, and the conversations Ann and I had together in private were always filled with love, I'm going to miss those conversations and her comments so much. :(

Agreed. I've had the pleasure of hearing all 3 of them live and even though Annette wasn't as powerful live as Nightwish needed, she still did a good job. She actually did an album together with sir Russell Allen recently that's pretty good, definitely a good singer.
Thomas deserves a lot more credit for his songwriting as he seems to be able to bring out the best whether it's Floor, Annette or Tarja the band seems to always make them shine. They also seem to change styles while still being Nightwish.

It is sad to me how Annette doesn't get much attention that she deserves. I've been with Nightwish from the start, and that includes the Annette Era, and there are some of my favourite songs she has done too. All three Goddess' of Nightwish should get love equally. ^.-.^

It's because of Annette I put off going to a live show.. Didn't really like what I heard on YT and when my friend in 2018 was going to see them and asked if I was interested, I said no. I didn't know about Floor at that time, I had basically pushed NW to the side, but after it was too late I got hooked hard on NW because of Floor.

I've seen quite a lot of Nightwish reaction videos on TH-cam, and I remember Ann commenting on each one. She was so passionate about wanting to help people understand Nightwish's history, I loved it.

Yesterday I was shocked to hear she'd passed away, although I was already preparing for the worst as she hadn't commented on any Nightwish reactions for a long time. Even if I didn't know her in person, we used to exchange messages via TH-cam comments. Kudos for doing this requiem for her. She will be missed by many, including myself. I think that Mr. Holopinens poetry is by far the most emmotional one could read along the incredible composing skills. Marco gives more than huge effort to melodies singed Emppu has the sweetest but the brutals guitarshredding skills All the drummers are on fire allways (Hahto / Nevalainen) Troy has the utter pipes :D And the singers, loved all of them but Floor brought the emmotion level 10.0000.0000% Greetings from Finland and let's keep making awesome music everywhere!

My sympathy to Ann’s family and friends. She was a virtual encyclopedia of information of Nightwish. She found Nightwish about 4or 5 years ago and I learned so much from her and I have been a fan of Nightwish for over 20 years. Just started to watch reaction channels ( yours was the first one I sub to with Storytime and Annette) . Thru the comment section Ann reached out h to me, and her knowledge and insight blew me away! Exactly these three. These are the songs that let Anette shine. I honestly didn't like her performing live, except on classic Tarja-era songs, but on these three songs she's excellent. I also like album versions of Song of Myself and Last Ride of the Day, her voice gives these songs even more power and craziness.
I'm happy you were able to pull this song off, they blocked it when I tried awhile back, but perfect for this case. My sympathy to Ann’s family and friends. She was a virtual encyclopedia of information of Nightwish. She found Nightwish about 4or 5 years ago and I learned so much from her and I have been a fan of Nightwish for over 20 years. Just started to watch reaction channels ( yours was the first one I sub to with Storytime and Annette) . Thru the comment section Ann reached out h to me, and her knowledge and insight blew me away! God Bless you Ann, and you Heath for doing this!🙏

Exactly these three. These are the songs that let Anette shine. I honestly didn't like her performing live, except on classic Tarja-era songs, but on these three songs she's excellent. I also like album versions of Song of Myself and Last Ride of the Day, her voice gives these songs even more power and craziness.

I'm happy you were able to pull this song off, they blocked it when I tried awhile back, but perfect for this case. Ann was so much to all of us, whether we knew her for a long time, or even just met in a fleeting moment, but in that moment she touched us deeply, whether we register it or not, because of her kindness, her passion for life, her strength... so much can be said of Ann, but none will ever be enough. Thank you so much for this video, a fitting tribute to an amazing human.
