I'm 70 and I just bought the 2023 Honda rebel cmx 500 and I love it 😀 . Plenty of get up and go . I'm trying to break it in , I've got 165 miles of the 300 mile break in . I have not got in it though its plenty fast enough for me .
@@carltonholderjr Congrats on a new Honda Rebel 500 CMX ✌🏻and thank you for sharing your story. It is a great bike to ride both city/ highway. I took my bike to the dealer for my first oil change around 600 mile during break in period because of the warranty. This time will do it myself. Stay tuned. Love the power of this bike, so glad didn’t go with 300. Enjoy your new bike and be safe out there!
Bro so, my first pick was really the vespa primavera 150. The night before I was going to buy I did my research and I saw the yamaha PG-1 I stayed up all night until 5am researching (I watched all available reviews on YT) and I felt I wanted it more than the Vespa. My wife and I went to a dealer the next morning and the rest was history. I hope to save up enough to get a big bike in this life. Currently torn between honda rebel 500 and the Bristol Bobber 650 :) - Also this is probably so stupid but about the same time I was thinking of buying a bike I stumbled upon this anime called "SuperCub" which is just a story of a student buying a 50cc supercub and her day to day with the cub. Super chill show and it had episodes on how to maintain your bike. I enjoyed it a lot and now I'm looking forward to tinkering with my PG-1 more because of it :)
@@Neithan Thanks for watching and sharing your story. Very interesting. PG-1 has a nice character. I like it too over Vespa. Honda rebel 500 and the Bristol Bobber 650 are nice options. Choose based on your taste and comfort. Watch enough videos of how people ride it and go with whatever feels right in your situation. I will have to checkout “SuperCub”. I love taking care of maintenance work on my bike. It is so much fun and enjoyable. DIY projects are great!
Got a Honda Navi about 2 months ago as my first 2 wheel motorized bike.. as someone who thought they’d NEVER even attempt to ride a motorcycle, I’m ready to get a Rebel 500 as my first real bike! 😬🙏🏼 Other than having to learn the clutch, the Navi definitely helped with the initial fear. Lol
@@NWanglerzCHOICE Welcome here 😃✌🏻Thank you for sharing your story about getting started on two wheels. We all have to start somewhere and whatever feels safe and comfortable at first. I can totally relate to you. Never thought I would start riding a motorcycle myself till last year and got hooked. Honda Rebel 500 is a great choice for a first bike. It has plenty of power that is easy to control and room to grow. The slip assist clutch is feather like and easy to pull without much effort. I was practicing a lot with the clutch and shifting through gears before I was road ready. Stalled my bike many times before I finally got better at it. I watched lots of videos and went through trial and error. I will be making a video about the controls of Honda Rebel 500 and how to start riding with no experience because I know exactly what I had to struggle with when I first started riding a real motorcycle. Stay tuned for more helpful videos. Thank you again for your story and great to have you here on my channel.
I'm an old fart. I started on a Vespa GTS 250, moved to a Piaggio BV 400, and I've added my Triumph Speed 400. Started at 54 now 58 pretty much a newbie. Zero prior experience.
@@NoFrictionZone Welcome here. I see you worked your way up. That’s the beauty of it, no restrictions here - you can start at any age as long as you are responsible and feel good about what you are riding. I started at the age of 33 and 34 now. Had no prior experience when I started. Now want to share with others how I did it and how to get started on a motorcycle with no prior experience. Thanks for sharing your story 👍🏻 I have more videos coming. Stay tuned.
