@@Mossd0ggg U don't understand, BW2 is not a remake of BW, BW2 is equal to Platinum in Diamond and Pearl, or Emerald in Ruby and Sapphire, its basically the same game with the OG but slight improvement that comes extra story and content, so they haven't remake BW, and trust me, they will definitely remake BW within the next 5-10 years, its already a tradition
@@ChibiNaruto I'm not sure who you were responding to, but that's also incorrect. B2W2 is a sequel to BW, not a "definitive" third version like Emerald or Platinum. They take place two years after BW with new protagonists, (some) new areas and Gym Leaders, a new Champion, and an entirely new story (among other things that have changed in that timeframe). It's definitely not "basically the same game".
What makes those routes so special is the fact that they’re the first snowy routes of all Pokémon games, a surprising thing just after familiar places in all Sinnoh region.
I think this is the one song I was really hoping would have a great arrangement, and I can't believe it came out so well. 😍 The percussion in particular stands out. The way it's used to transition out of the calm part is such great buildup that I never knew I was missing in the original.
Not sure how I feel about the counter melody overpowering the main melody at 1:24. I guess it’s something I have to get use to after hearing the original countless times lol
The part at 1:23 feels weird. I don't know why but I feel that the keyboard melody it's oversounded by the clarinet/whatever thing that is and... Idk, it just feels off
@DarkCoreX Ah yes because if people like a old version of something more than the new version means that they’re blinded by nostalgia. I don’t like BDSP’s remixed soundtracks because they butcher the music, and I’m saying this as someone who fucking hates Sinnoh.
Sounds good but the drums seem too loud, some instruments seem too quiet, meh Edit: I'm starting to like it more for what it is now, still prefer the original but this one just sounds crazier lol
I really do not like this song in the remakes. It sounds more like a waving and windy savannah than it does a snowy mountain range. The timing and tones of the beats also really removes the atmosphere. The older one had a more crisp and intense feel as if you were trekking through the mountains trying to endure a blizzard and make it to warmer grounds. Some people may say that this may be nostalgia talking, but if you compare the two side by side and play both versions of the game, you will see the BIG difference.
Here’s a hot take: This is another way that BD/SP disappointed me. This was my favorite D/P/Pt track, but this just feels off. I love the original because the first part sounds mysterious and kind of ominous, but then it picks up to the jazzy, groovy, upbeat main melody to show that while your journey’s still going to get more difficult, it’s still going to be a fun time in the end. This rendition kills the ominous feel of the original and makes it feel too calming, changing the vibe that this piece gives off. Plus, the jazzy part isn’t as confident sounding as the original. 4/10
to be fair i’ve heard there were very few composers/producers compared to the originals. but you can obviously tell that they didn’t care or try to hard. bdsp was obviously rushed
Wear headphones for this track in particular, trust me its well worth it
What about car speakers?
Both are respectable.
@@BottledPoe Only in a blizzard with literally zero visibility.
This area was probably the one I was most excited to experience again after so many years, and man did it please me, the music is still a banger.

The one thing that's ALWAYS great about Pokemon games, without fail: the soundtrack.
Route 216 is normal Sinnoh theme: route 203 is greatful, route 209 is Sinnoh Anthem, route 201 is adorable and route 206 is mighty

I thought the clarinet was the lead there, i made the same mistake when i made a remake of this song too
I actually like it
Not a fan, honestly. I liked it better in the original
oh how I missed you route 216
Fun Fact: Route 216 and 217 are some of, if not are, the snow-ist routes in the entire Pokémon series (excluding Winter Season in Gen 5).
First Pokémon Winter theme is dark cave/slowpoke well/ice path from gold and silver
Route 216 theme after hoenn theme of mt pyre/shoal cave
😍
Makes sense as Northern Japan (which Sinnoh is based on) is the snowiest region on earth!
@@nova-fk8dh actually the snowiest place on earth is in the tohoku region, which is kitakami in pokemon
Simply having a wonderful christmas time
I love this route theme. Both the OG and this remake gets me hyped.
One part of this song gives me Mickey Speedway USA (N64) vibes
SEE I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO THOUGHT THAT IT GAVE MICKEY SPEEDWAY VIBES

Wear headphones and you'll get a strange shift between the left and right ears near the start of the song.
Welcome to panning and ping-pong delay, friend. :)
Best Route theme of all time
This song will forever go hard!
Perfect for a summer day.
MAKES ME WANT TO GO CHRISTMAS AND GO TO THE CHURCH UNTIL I WAS SLEEPING ZZZZZZZZ
I don't get why they smeared the reverb for some of the sound effects. Otherwise it would be really good
The Rhodes in the beginning is just unreal
Route 216 is not shortcut. It's long cut!
I hate how the beat doesn’t drop as hard as it did in the original version.
Beat this theme - this is NOT GOOD!
Wonderful
Bulkhead's Torchic, Doduo and Skitty eats salad in this route (watermelon, blueberry and raspberry)
Love this song even more than the original
I want: Optimus Prime and Bulkhead (Transformers Animated) went to route 216 and find a hat

I made the same mistake when i did my own version 🙃
Same feeling here, yeah. Similar thing is done in the galactic encounter theme. Felt off.
The drums are also too loud and overpowering through most of it.
JAZZ CLARINET?! YES!!!!!!!!!!
Prefer the original. This one is all over.
I walked into this route and I was like--GYAAATTTDDDDDDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN THIS IS FIRE! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Justice to the original song

I prefer the original because of the LACK OF JINGLE BELLS.
This one is still a bop though!
Not as good as the original one but still pretty solid
How is it not

My main problem is with the remake is some of the instrument choices could have been better
