AP Carter defined American pop music lyrics, no one better. "Tomorrow was our wedding day But, oh Lord, oh, where is he He's gone to seek him another bride And he cares no more for me"
I have no idea who you are , but this is as fine a piece of work , & you have done it a great service . Thank you for reviving a classic . I read that those that know you were surprised to hear your voice... I take it you don't sing much .PLEASE use your talent to share with the rest of us really can't sing . Nuf said. "Mahalo " (thanks) from Hawaii .
I've heard this song butchered by would-be singers at jams, and as a result had come to have an intense dislike for the song. I almost didn't listen, but since I am a devotee of your marvelous rhythm tracks, I couldn't resist. Wow -- I'm glad I did. This is an incredibly beautiful song -- and it can move along with some swing to it -- love the tempo. And nice mando playing! I sat and jammed along with you on my mando the first time I listened to this -- which won't be the last... Thanks!
Best version I've ever heard. It's got a stripped down authenticity mood to it in which every aspect of melody, dynamics and harmony are so clear to even the unclearest of ears. Thanks mate, totally brilliant.
Wow! Another beauty. Encourage your fans to listen to your other work on youtube. Who is singing harmony? Lovely playing, lovely singing...and always, superbly tasteful performance all the way through. Thank you.
Those Composite Acoustic guitars have amazing tone. Anyone whoever plays one is always impressed by their tone. The Martin looks like an HD-28. Nice touch on the leads. Enjoyed it very much.
Thanks for reminding me how much I love this song by creating this inspired version of it...Always knew you could pick with the best of 'em, but who knew you could sing too :)
How could anyone turn a thumbs down on such perfection???? Incredible!

Gorgeous, just absolutely gorgeous
Thanks, Steve.

You talk very little, but you produce high quality product in your music.

I really your picking style!!
Smooth
Your voice reminds me of Vince Gill
Thanks Dave, played with emotion and perfection. You are an inspiration. Please keep doing this.
Buddy,
What is the rhythm guitar you are playing?
How can I get the tabs to the version you are playing on guitar? I'd really love to learn to play this.
thats hilarious. song sounds identical to the one sung by Chris Thile and Michael Daves off their Sleep with One Eye Open album..
Tommy Beams It is the same song. It’s a traditional song, author unknown, that was already old when the Carter family recorded it in 1927.
im saying, i think one of yall a are lip syncing...
Oh, I got you. Thanks, man. Those guys are amazing musicians, I’m honored to be compared to the likes of them.
