What I don't understand is why the controls for the guns dont work. The safety being on by default doesnt help because i cant seem to get it to release the safety on most guns no matter how many button combinations i use. The two guns i got the safety to release suddenly wouldnt release their mags anymore so i couldnt reload. I just dont understand why the controls are so broken. What am i doing wrong (Im on quest 2)
For the WMR the menu button is already bound to act like top button and you can bind the pad to act like the other.(or swap if you like) My track pad like to act up from time to time so its a useful trick to know. Just make sure the option for having the buttons do snap turn is off or in normal controls you will spin a lot.

Ima move over to these controls, as I use the original quest. Looks really streamlined and fun, the controls are pretty complicated right now. I do everything manually when I’m playing the game for immersion anyway so the lost controls don’t matter. Also, you have a really underrated channel!
I have a rift S but i still use the normal controls for messing around and gun range stuff, I only use streamlined for modes like take&hold where you need to play it more like a game than a simulation
My friend initally made me try H3VR with classic controls, I hated how the only movement method was teleportation. I'll try streamlined controls solely to be able to move freely. I don't really care about the quick safety/magdump/hammer cocking buttons, since H3VR to me is about feeling like you're handling real guns.
I do not have much experience with controllers that don't have a track pad, but I would say this makes the total input possibility space much smaller and more manageable for newbies. If you plan on using twin stick locomotion, it will be necessary to use this scheme if you want to be able to move and use gun controls like mag release/fire selector etc simultaneously. While there are some downsides to the streamlined controls (lack of slide/quick bolting being the biggest among them) they still allow you to do everything you need to.
You can not manually lock the slide with Streamlined controls. I cover the Simulation (or default) controls for doing this in my first tutorial video. It uses the stick, pressing in while holding left and then sliding the stick up.
Is it possible to move around with the Right Joystick like in any other game console?? Like turning left and right and turn around, instead of having to move my head around ..? 🤔 Help please !

It is not available in Oculus Stores to run natively on the Quest or Quest 2. It must be run on a PC via Steam, and using a link cable to play on the Quest. I am not familiar with this process personally but there should be plenty of info online about how to play SteamVR games on Quest.

Hey, idk if ur a Dev or anythimg, but my controls have been having an issue where i'll move backwards uncontrollably with smooth controls on the streamlined controls
Not a developer, but the only thing I can think of off the top of my head is slight stick drift on your left controller. I'd google about it and look into changing the dead zone on it. Sorry I don't have any more specific an answer.

Go to Input and Control options and Force Vive Style under Grab Style. This way will lock firearms to your hand until you press the grip button again to drop them. I hope I understood your question correctly

Thanks for this video, really helped, but one thing I have a problem is with the grenades, i throw them and they come back...do you know any solutions?
Not natively on the Oculus Store. It is only available by hooking up your Quest 2 (through cord or wirelessly) to a compatible PC and running it through Steam.
As of right now there is no way to manually interact with the slide lock on pistols in Streamlined. If it is a pistol that locks back when emptied, you should be able to press the top button to release it. Other than that, there are no controls for it. One of the limitations of Streamlined.
is there a way to bind just mag drop to b? im on index and b button currently does not do anything. touchpad is unreliable for me in stressful situations.
There isn't any way to do specific rebinds like that in game but maybe through Steam Input you could get the B button to emulate a press on the touch pad. I don't have much experience doing control schemes at the SteamVR level like that though. There are in game options to set the B button to Jump or quick turn if you'd like to make it do something

Streamlined controls makes it easier for pavlov players to get into h3vr with minimal tutorials
To be honest I refunded because of the controls and just picked it back up because of this

These controls can be used on the Cosmos. Remember, this isn't the default though, so you'll have to enable it at launch or in the options panel.

@@griseld Depends all on your PC Specs, it doesn't utilized the quest's onboard gpu/cpu.
