Perfect example of why GS are GOAT
I've heard this performance hundreds of times over the years and the exquisite vocal harmonies combined with perfect instrumental performance gets me every time
The sudden transition from from 4/4 to 6/8 for the outro is incredible
    Tomo-zo's guitar lead is perfection
Tomo-zo is using a Fender VG Strat here btw (Strat with Roland modelling module built in), using a 12 string sound
Hana is playing a cajón here, it is basically a wooden box and intended to be percussion you sit on and play with your hands

Thanks again for your careful analysis today.
I usually tend to prefer songs with an aggressive gacharic spin, so I hadn't heard this one for a while until it appeared on your channel.
It's still a beautiful song after all these years.

I think the box hanna is using is c called a cajón. A box made to be used to imitate drum sounds at much lower volume.

Love your insights - you pick up a lot of stuff on your first listen, that's quite remarkable 👏
With all your knowledge I'm really surprised you didn't recognize that Hana was playing a cajon. Well, can't know everything, right LOL
The music to this song was actually written by Takano Tsonuda, who actually (co)produced them from 2010 to 2020 (when they started to selfproduce) He is still helping on their arrangements to this day. Lyrics were written by Gachapin.
I think the vocals on this song are out of this world - Them switching from thirds to octaves seemlessly, that Hana is taking over the lower harmony during the repeat last chorus, Hana and Oreo have just been spectacular on vocals since they made music together.
If GS wanted to just be a serious group, that becomes successful, they most likely could have done that. Instead they chose to go their own way and do whatever they wanted (for the most part). I commend them for that ..
    Til the next one :)

I can get lost in the beauty of this song - vocals just so good. When I hear this it does make me wish sometimes that Oreo still did more lead vocals, but I appreciate she wants to concentrate more on the piano parts. It's crazy they can be so good in such different styles - that's what makes them my number 1 band. If you're interested in Tomo-zo's (not Yuri! 😆) guitar sounds then check out this video where she goes through her pedals and amp - th-cam.com/video/Fp29vE77e2Y/w-d-xo.html - it's in Japanese obviously but the autotranslate captions seems to do an ok job

❤❤❤❤❤❤🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 Oreo !!!💘I am glad you did this one Brother it is one of my favorites Oreo doesn't sing lead nearly enough but in this one she shines . lol that is Tomo-zo on guitar Yuri is the drummer that plays now so Hana can play guitar these are the four oldest members Koga , Hana , Oreo and Tomo-zo . this was the band with added screamer dancers for a long time after the original singer Armmy left for health reasons then passed on soon after . Yuri ( drums ) and Angelina 1/3 are the newest members and with these 4 are the current line up . a lot to remember I know lol they are my favorite contemporary band so I have spent a long time learning all about them and i will pass that on to you whenever i can ...you know i will not miss a single reaction you do for them. rock on Brother !!!

@@RockCandy-ix3nn lol they are the craziest and most complex band i know of and that smile Tomo-zo always has is enough to distract and confuse any one besides i still confuse members of bands i have known for decades ;)

Well technically, Mai, Arisa and Nenne weren’t known as “screamer dancers”. That’s more babymetals schtick. There was a combination of Mai and one of the other girls until Nenne or Arisa “graduated” from the
group leaving the two as the dancers and occasional backing vocals, while Arisa at times did keyboard duels with Oreo while dancing with keyboards on their backs. I suggest finding this video but I’m sorry I can’t think of the song title right now. In the end, only Mai remained until she “graduated” and was replaced by Angelina 1/3 who was originally supposed to be another “hype girl” type mic performer like Mai until Koga and Hana heard her sing and saw the potential. Listen to Angie’s vocals on her first album with the band “Gold Rush”, and how much she’s featured singing on the self titled album and W. I flew to Houston Texas last year just to meet them and see them perform. It’s one of if not THE best concert I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen hundreds at my age lol

@@TheRobsam I called them that only for Lack of a better term Hype girls, screamer dancers etc all basically serve the same functions and yes i know they sometimes do more miss them actually but the would be redundant with angie on stage nowshehas taken that role and lead singing to a whole new place

Tomazo could be using an acoustic simulaor pedal.
Joyo Wooden Sound Acoustic Guitar Simulator . Boss AC-3 Acoustic Simulator. And I have a Hotone Omni AC Pedal. there are a few others. I have a LP type clone with GHOST ResoMax NV Bridge, with GHOST Piezo Saddles All in all they make a very convicing Acousitic tone and My Hotone pedal dose several guitar simulations includine 12 string.

I adore this band and am glad you do reactions to them however this clip has an awful remaster sound, there is a full concert YT you can watch that is ripped directly from the bands dvd and sounds wonderful, you get an idea from this but the original is much better . The vid is called Delicious Live.
