Agrigento is the best ! Just came back and did not anticipate the breathtaking beauty of Sicily . Wish we had only spent our whole trip in Sicily . I’ve been to Italy three times as a fortunate traveler but this is the most beautiful, complex and rich part of Italy .
How lovely that Martin is reconnecting with family and you, Juliana, get to meet them and Sicily for the first time! It looks beautiful there and that rock cliff area looks fantastic! The food looks amazing except that last french fry sausage sandwich, I think I'll pass on that one, lol. Looking forward to your next installment!
I just subscribed; I don't often do that because so many homemade travel videos are more irritating that informative (maybe my own too?). 🙂 I'm glad to have discovered you. You're both very charming and full of great information! I've traveled quite a bit in Italy but I'm visiting Sicily for the first time in late April 2024 and your videos of Agrigento and Palermo kept me riveted to the screen. I can't wait to check out your other materials and I will definitely use them to inform myself of all there is to see in Sicily. Thank-you for your creative work and buon viaggio!
So because of your video, my wife and I booked a tour with your aunt and she was truly marvelous and such a nice person. I would highly recommend her for anyone looking at visiting Valley of the Temples in Agrigento. We did the evening tour and came away with a wonderful experience. ❤❤ We also returned today so that we could go at a snail's pace and photograph.
Thank you SO much for letting us know this!!!! We are thrilled you enjoyed her tour. It’s a special place that is definitely worth returning to. We actually did the same as you and came back for photos! Cheers!
@TouristtoLocal I think that is the only way to do the site. There is so much info on a tour that you need to pay attention and take it in. Then by returning to get photos, sit at one location to absorb the place, search out hidden secret locations that are not covered on the tour you really experience it fully. Yes it's an added cost but we'll worth it. And as someone whose career was in protected areas management (retired from Parks Canada to be specific) I suggest this is how visitors should approach most natural and cultural history sites.
Another amazing video with great storytelling. You guys really made us want to visit Agrigento. So charming! The food looked delicious. We can't wait for your food guide video coming soon.
Beautiful little town! As a history buff i always love seeing ancient temples. It was crazy how it was nice and sunny and then suddenly a lightning storm came in. Oh and coffee topped with almonds and pistachios?!?!?!? MMMMMM "Like"
@@TouristtoLocal 1 night in Catania, 2 nights in Taormina (sadly our Mt. Etna tour was canceled due to weather on Easter) hiked in the Necropolis of Pantalica on the way to Siracusa for 3 nights (day trip to Noto, Marzamemi, and Vendicari Nature Preserve). Lovely time!
You both are the best, was wanting to travel Europe with a special someone and have been researching where to take her, and what comes up?? Bitacoras from Italy! Thank you so much!!!
I love this video ! I was born in Citta’ Palermo and will be returning there this year for good. I have cousins in Castelvitrano and Marcella. To me there is no place on earth as beautiful as Western Sicily ! Keep up the good work and maybe we will run into each other in Agrigento some day soon. P.S. I have friends in Agrigento !
Thank you! It was actually filmed in AUGUST 😲 we just took forever to upload this series. We miss those warm days now that we are trapped in rainy Northern California! Thanks for watching!
Good morning guys.... thank you for an awesome channel. So much practical advice. Is it safe for a woman alone to travel Sicily and specifically Agrigento.
Ah..... is it forbidden to be on the Scala dei Turchi now? Oh no. We were so lucky to sit on the Scala waching sunset on the one side, and full moon came up on the other side. Magnificent!
Hi, I remember a Mexican (Italian to English) translator on a program about a Reno with Lorraine Brocco when she was in Sambuca when she purchased a home for 1 Euro. I believe Sambuca is in the same Provence. Is there a connection?
Great videos on your channel! How do we contact your Aunt (the tour guide in Agrigento). We will be there on May 12th and would love to take a tour. Mille grazie!
My wife and I just got back from our honeymoon in Sicily! We’ve been long time fans of you guys so we’re excited you’re there now! We stayed in Taormina, Syracusa, and Scopello. We have so many recommendations if you’re interested!

I visited Sicily in April, but didn’t make it to Agrigento. Look forward to seeing where you go! You make wonderful videos ☺️
Where did you end up going instead? We have a few other destinations we can’t wait to show in Sicily :)

Right?! Martín has such fond memories of sunsets there too. It's a shame!

Oh cool! That is in the same province, but pretty far from where we were. We will have to check that out!

Correction. Greeks didn't conquer the city. They settled it.
ITS A ARANCINO NOT ARANCINA!!!!!!!!!!
It's certainly a touchy subject!
@@TouristtoLocal but no hate just love great video but dont forget arancino😂
