- A HUGE part of my reseller business involves sourcing for video games at garage sales. We went to a city FILLED with hundreds of garage sales, and asked at every house if they had video games. Usually our hit-rate while video game hunting at yard sales is low, but there's a ton of super solid finds until the very end!

In my area, they’re usually called yard sales. Doesn’t matter if it in the garage or the yard or both. I just alternate honestly 😹

It's great to see more of the reality of garage sales; 1 for every 10 sales is definitely real! We have a hard time nowadays finding more than around 20 sales in one morning, super jealous of those crazy numbers! Great video as usual team!

I know you guys are too young...including Chase but back in the day when I was a kid Nintendo was sold out everywhere. It was the first time you could play an arcade (Super Mario) at home that was the same exact game at Showbiz Pizza and Chuckie Cheese. I remember having a garage sale as a kid and getting $50-100 for my old games I no longer wanted to play. My neighbor (he was 12 and I was 11) and I sold our old games and then used the money to buy baseball cards (really bad decision looking back...LOL). I sold my Athena NES game for $100 in 1987 and it makes me laugh that this game is still worth big bucks complete with the box ($191 recent sold comp on Ebay 3/7/22). $100 was a lot of cash back in 1987. On a separate note I highly recommend NES game Baseball Stars.... this is the only game where you can custom make your entire team from scratch and you earn money when you beat other teams during a season. You can then use the money to upgrade your team or recruit new players. It is also the only NES baseball game that kept track of stats during a season. This game was epic and you could even put girls on your team. You have to check it out and even to this day it is an awesome game that saves stats and your custom team. The controls of the game are perfect and it was the best baseball game I ever played across all formats.

The ask was strong for me last two days. I have never had any luck last garage sale season. But I went to 15 garage sales 2 people brought out games but 6 out 15 I got games from. Best find was a ps2 boxed for 10 bucks. No controller or cords but I have they stuff. Also got a xbox 360 elite with all the hookups for 10 bucks too. It was in a xbox one elite box too. I paid up for two 3ds with soul silver for ds and pokemon white they were the Aqua and red 3ds. Paid 120 for the 3ds lot. Anyway you inspired me. Got other pickups as well. Great video and those genesis boxed games I want all of those lol.

Great video guys! Cool to see how often the ask works. I also ask for games at every yard sale. I’ve never hit stuff like you guys, but I’ve gotten a decent amount over the years.
It reminds me of one sale I went to. I walked up and the guy recognized me. “Oh! I have something for you!” He goes into his house and comes out with 2 tubs of games. They’re like the tubs you can slide under a bed. He puts them on the ground and opens them up. “Make me an offer on everything” he said. Both tubs were jam packed with dirty water-damaged sports games for ps2. A sad day indeed.
But my most successful ask was definitely when a guy texted me about 5 years after I asked him about games. I bought a few decent ps2 titles from him before, but he said he was moving and ready to sell it all. I paid $300 for a NES, SNES, PS2, PS3, Wii and Original Xbox all with games. No super crazy hits and a good amount of the games are going in my garage sale, but there’s still plenty to be made on the deal.

I went to a garage sales today and not only did they have games, they had 3 GameCube games. Yes the success rate for games at yard sales is about 10% so this video is accurate.

Great content guys, one thing that bothered me this episode though: when you were talking about your "hit rate" for asks if the numbers were yes=4, no=45 you'd say "we're four for 45.
If a baseball player gets to bat 3 times and gets 1 base hit "yes=1" and grounds out twice "no=2" he's one for THREE, not one for 2.
True. Either "4 for 49" or "4 AND 45," but they put the numbers on the screen, so we got it. :)
