This channel focuses on combat flight simulators like DCS World and IL-2 Great Battles. I play using TrackIR5 and do not use VR, this means that I am able to capture footage for tutorials, how-to-guides and other multiplayer tips and tricks video in 1440p.
Eagle Dynamics has made it easier than ever to learn DCS because the game is technically free. The game has the F-15, F-16, Su-27, Mig-29, Mig-21, Mig-19, Mig-15, F-86 Sabre, Jf-17, Mirage 2000, F-18 Hornet and F-14 Tomcat. There are soon other modules coming such as the Mig-23 and F-4. Lastly, there are helicopters like the Mi-24 Hind and AH-64 Apache.
The same is also true for IL-2 Great Battles. With Battle of Stalingrad, Battle of Kuban, Battle of Bodenplatte, Battle of Moscow and Battle of Normandy being released, there is an immense amount of variety covered. The Bf-109, Fw-190, P-51, Tempest, P-47, Mc.202, Stuka, Ju-88, He-111, and so on are all in the game. If you can't tell, I really like this game. The combat has an incredible amount of depth but there is very little documented on TH-cam so I hope this helps people. If you want to play with us, hop in our discord and go to roles and find the naval action role. We have a very active clan that is playing at all hours in the day.
The game isn't dead but it's original buyers quit it a long time ago due to crazy actions by the devs(simple explanation).

Good tutorial, from someone who got the game when it originally released. Are you planning on tutorials covering different areas? Trade, crafting, leveling? They have made so many changes that makes it different from the game I originally played. And like you said there aren’t many people covering it anymore.
@@Karrson11 I will not be able to create as many tutorials in this game like I do in DCS or IL-2 because I simply do not have the level of expertise in some parts of the game.

From Mach 1 to Mach .01 is quite a transition.
Positioning upwind was known as having the “weather gage”, the primary advantage being maneuvering options. The enemy exposing his hull below the water was an advantage, but the combination of heel and waves might require the upwind ship to close the ports on his lower gundeck.
Not a lot of wind or waves in this engagement.
The channel is really about multiplayer sim gameplay, so I hope that I can keep branching out and doing other interesting games.
One other thing I forgot to mention, if you get leaked, you can heel your ship so hard and make the holes come out of the water so you stop taking in more water. Sort of counter intuitive but makes sense.
Remember that line in stepbrothers: “You sound crazy right now”?
Great video! However, I would like to point out few things in it.
On 4:24, you have decided to raise your sail, but this is unnecessary as you could yard sails parallel to the wind. This will prevent the square sails from catching wind, consequently reducing heeling. This is refered as luffing or stalling the sails. However, it is important to note that your ship was not heeling at the monent you got the leaks; It is showing 0 degrees the whole time. Enemy just timed it perfectly with the waves.
After the leak on 4:50, you start repairing, but repairing hulls do not include patching holes. Holes can only be patched by Emergency crew assignment, and there will be about 4 people assinged per leak, and this is evident as normally your ship can assign 100 for emergency crew, but after 19 leaks, you got 73 more positions available; 73/19=3.8. Also when fully assigned, the holes take full 60 seconds to patch. In this case it took around 90 seconds as you allocated some time on newly assigning possition.
Also just another tip just in case, and this is especially the case for faster ships, is that when you make your sails parallel to the wind to slow yourself down, make sure that the point or purpose is to make your speed 0 knot fast, not to make your sail parallel to wind. AKA in most cases you still travel at 1~3 knots when square sails are parallel to wind, due to your spankers pushing forward and also take time to reach that speed, too; Backwind your sails to decelerate.

That was a fun fight! Good info! You can also force the side with all the leaks out of the water with full sails and wind but if you go fast with the leaks under water more will pour in.

Started playing a couple days ago,and never understood why i was so inconsistent at putting leaks in enemy ships,i'll try this method and see if i can speed up the process of leveling up my rank,thanks!
Keep in mind that some balls will hit the water. So you need to have a critical mass of enough guns to be able to plop some in the water while enough make it through to make a leak. It gets easier when yo uget more guns

In your experience, do mediums make this job much harder or is it the same up close
I'd be interested in seeing if this could potentially help a smaller ship punch above its rate. For instance: could a 6th rate, if they were squirrelly enough, quickly sink a top tier 5th rate such as an Endymion or a Trincomalee? Both have very high roll angles and both would obliterate a 6th rate normally. But what if they sailed it like Captain Jack Sparrow?
It's harder to do in a smaller ship because you don't have enough guns to punch enough holes in enough time. Some shots WILL hit the water and then not connect.

Does cannon penetration and double charge increases probability of shots causing a leak?
Some people have told me it can help. I think I noticed double charge could pen the water better. But a week or two ago, I stopped using the double shot perk and noticed that I was still getting leaks consistently. At this time, I do not think shot type or cannon size matters for leak, its just how many you get.
For cannon penetration, I would imagine this helps but I haven't noticed enough to see a difference.

why did you start a hull repair at 5:00? To my knowledge it doesnt help with leak repair, but maybe they changed this.
My understanding is that repairs can help leaks to plug holes

Naval Action used to have a lot of promise.
But the way they ended up trying to monetize the game just didn't sit well with me.
I actually feel the monetization isn't too bad. It's not pay to win but really pay for convenience IMO
Leaks are broken now, you can make leaks to ship with 0 sails and zero speed.

There is a reason this game is not documented well on youtube. The Devs treated loyal players like children and did not listen nor respect any feedback we gave. they eventually killed off 80% of the player base with the amount of game breaking changes they always went back and forth on. I would have thought you would have been filled in on this as the Devs are actually worse than ED! lol
Yeah I heard. The game is still fun despite the bad history. It seems like people are enjoying what the devs have been doing as of late and the population is rebounding back
I played the beta and enjoyed it quite a lot, but the game itself didn't make any sense after that.
