I have been trying to find the most effective and efficient way to add micronutrients to my plots and also add to water retention. Also my soil is very hard and compacted.
I think adding compost would work. Full of organic matter and is really good with water retention and mirconutrients. Also humic acid does good with water retention. It can be tricky with hard soil from time to time. I know a lot of people use a water soluble version of micronutrients but I think the pellet form would be the better option. Its almost like a slow release to let it absorb a little deeper into the soil. If i remember right you do a no-till system correct?
@MonsterBucks1451 I disk, but have been experimenting with throw and mow to try and build matter and offset the compaction. Not on all plots. Also have around 4.5 acres od plots so I have used some humic acid and sea water.

@@jeremysilcox9362 Ok Since you disk I would add either right after disking or just before to help work it deeper into the soil.
Sand?
