He was literally about to pass out while speaking to the judges. He kept trying to leave for a reason. This is severe anxiety at it’s finest!! But hey, props to him for doing it anyway!
Looks like anxiety but it's not. It's more anger because of a bruised ego. Let me explain, the way he describes his self-created style shows us that he fully thinks it is great & the height of art essentially. Now, if he believes he can make something of such greatness, it wouldnt be too far of a stretch to infer that he sees himself in a Very favorable light to be able to create this. So to have someone shit all over his creation hurt his ego. He's probably angry and his behavior is a reflection of trying to contain himself. Hence, why he wanted to leave. And when he did leave, the contained anger came out in the form of a swear and looking down on them and their "opinion".
This dude reminds me of that one American Idol girl with the cowboy hat who came to a singing competition knowing full well that she can't sing, and then got emotional with the judges because "we're people too!" He kind of has the same attitude as her.
Nigel Lythgoe is a great dancer in his own right, it was very common to have watched him dancing various routines on light entertainment shows in the 70s and 80s.
In the beginning, when he was standing in front of the backdrop with the "so you think you can dance" logo all over it, he was acting like he was going to puke but he was very happy about it. Ive never, in my life, been happy to throw up. It was sort of like one of those " whats happening, im scared", moments for me.
It was the way it was said. The first judge rolled his eyes at him, an the second made the snide remark, 'What were you expecting here today?' He didn't want to stand there to be made fun of publicly.
So, a lot of people are being rude about this man, but honestly, he enjoyed his dancing, he got over the fear he had to get on stage, proving to himself that he could. He also looked so happy with his dancing, which is what it is all about. I think the judges do have to do their job, but simply stating it in a way that crushes the happiness of the auditioner is too much. He was obviously passionate about his style, and he got very choked up at the end, so that's why he left. He didn't want to feel any worse.
As much as I see what you’re saying, in reality, there’s a reason you have to be thickskinned when working in the entertainment industry. You’re going to hear all kinds of opinions, from many people. If you can’t take the heat, you have no place working there.
Ahahahaha I loved it! Not the "performance", but that talk afterwards! His tonality was sooo familiar from people who are offended, but don't want to show weakness. This, my folks, is so awesome for observing the human nature. Thanks :D
+Nicholas Wilkinson I also think he was trying to hurry and get off stage because he knew the judges didn't like him and he was getting emotional and didn't want to be on stage when he cried. Still a fricken weirdo.
I like how this guy didn't chicken out he said whatever he needed to say. And how he was alright with leaving before they finished judging him was cool. He didnt get butthurt
instead of trying to search for the song, you can always just use a youtube to mp3 converter (just google it) and u can skip to when the music starts.. ?
.... Hmm this must be why dance studio's have mirrors ... So u can see when You've turned into little bunny fufu ... Love the extra thick soled shoes though lol must be helpful in getting that good bounce :P
lmaooo at the comment "his high" i like the way he explains himself but i know people watch the show and they know the kind of level and standard of dance involved. he is a good sport though xD musta been high

....he's a judge how can he not be critical
I saw no popping....or locking....
Say what you want but his dance has good energy
This dude reminds me of that one American Idol girl with the cowboy hat who came to a singing competition knowing full well that she can't sing, and then got emotional with the judges because "we're people too!" He kind of has the same attitude as her.
He's so passive aggressive. Beard is bad, hair is bad, clothes are bad, attitude is bad, everything is bad.
Lmao I collapsed when Nigel was like "do what?"
He jumps pretty well
this guys belong to Narnia!! TO NARNIA!!!
Yes, with goat legs. 👏👏🕺
The way you dance when you're high 🚬
Announcer: maybe things would have worked better if chris had seen.... (cuts off)
me: Seen what!!! who!!! that damn cliffhanger!!!!!
HAHAHA
Went to the comments looking for this comment. thank you
There's like 3 ppl In the crowd

You missed seeing the influences of popping and locking in his styles of symmetry and performance art :P
he wasn't dancing, he was ascending.
I love the way he explains his style... And the music is great!!!
It wasn’t professional
How dare those judges judge me , who do they think they are , judges ?
It was the way it was said. The first judge rolled his eyes at him, an the second made the snide remark, 'What were you expecting here today?' He didn't want to stand there to be made fun of publicly.
@@astrotrain21 what should they have said , as I imagine we must be in agreement that your issue certainly wasn’t in the way they said it
I like that he tried, but obviously he wasn't ready for anything negative.
His dance looks like a nightmare I have when I'm spaced out on bad shrooms.
So, a lot of people are being rude about this man, but honestly, he enjoyed his dancing, he got over the fear he had to get on stage, proving to himself that he could. He also looked so happy with his dancing, which is what it is all about.

It's good that he enjoyed himself but it's a waste of the judges' time

I don't believe the judges were trying to crush his dreams. Their feedback could help him for future auditions.
Ahahahaha I loved it! Not the "performance", but that talk afterwards! His tonality was sooo familiar from people who are offended, but don't want to show weakness. This, my folks, is so awesome for observing the human nature. Thanks :D
The real cringe is how little people thereare in the audience
I'd say that's a good thing
It just means his audition was at the end of the day. Once they auditioned, they left.
I also like how LIl C is looking at him. It's a cross of "what the fuck, are you serious" and "how dare you call this dancing"
I’d give him that same look honestly 😂I mean props to him for trying but….certainly didn’t wow me at all
i wasnt even 45 seconds in and i bursted out laughing xD
The song is Belong by Spooky (Sasha involver Remix)
art girl Spooky - Belong (involver edit)
Where the hell was the breakdancing or popping in that style lol
love the 'replay'.
OMG look at lil Cs face his like : oh my gawd this dude high on acid XD
Love the way he thinks. He had a good time, it is the only thing that count.
im just gonna say it straight: this guy was completely rude to Nigel. Nigel wasn't doing anything inappropriate.
+Nicholas Wilkinson I also think he was trying to hurry and get off stage because he knew the judges didn't like him and he was getting emotional and didn't want to be on stage when he cried. Still a fricken weirdo.
Nicholas Wilkinson yes I agree, he was rude.
Very rude to Nigel.
He knew he wasn't what they were looking for.
He is a weirdo!
A ginger with dreads and an anger problem. It’s an entirely new brand of awkward.
Am I the only one that wants to learn this choreography? 😂😂
I think so
Yes. 😂😂But I mean props to him for trying
*Yes*
I like how this guy didn't chicken out he said whatever he needed to say. And how he was alright with leaving before they finished judging him was cool. He didnt get butthurt
He was butthurt, thats why he started walking off before they finished because he was upset cause he thought he could dance when he sucked terribly
I was actually enjoying this
Yeah. I kind of liked it too. I mean . . . it is different, but I thought it went with the music, and he was pretty strong.
He should get together with the space engineer that has aliens living inside her...
If you look closely his beard cheek lines are uneven
This guy rules.
this is the reason he comes back to Harry and Hermoine
At least he had the guts to audition with that.
he got the dance moves from a zamba video
I actually liked his dance. :s

I wish I knew... I also want to practise my electric and this song is perfect for it :-P
"but that's okay" lmaoooo :) this was a hot mess
The dreadlocks were a sign he wash't gonna be that good...
Majestic. Like a jellyfish.
he looks like he's vogueing the whole time
i swear i saw those moves in mass effect 3 ...a blue alien was doing them
is it just me or did everyone else also miss the break dancing and popping/locking?
Nigels eyes were like watching water burn
It is called "you are not a dancer" and the guys name is Ian
He said his style was part "Cheerleader to the music.", so maybe that explains it. LOL!
You're right about saying he looked like he was "trying". Ha!
Hey anybody, what do u think he's on? I personally think a watered down version of a geoffery
SOS: I have heard this track again but I can't recall its title. Does anybody know its title please?
No. A bunny with dreadlocks is all I saw.
..... those locks are mesmerizing ...
that slo-mo at the start
sloth time!
This would go well with Solid Snakes Theme
When he was describing his style of dancing i went to pop sum popcorn
he said popping locking and a bit of breakdancing in it, i saw nothing from that...
What did the guy expect???
1:34 crowd looks like street fitghter 2, when you fight against Blanca.
The one at 0:12 is SO good
weird but actually kinda cool at the same time
that looked like he was trying to be a cheerleader
Spooky - Belong (involver edit)
how can you tell someone that how they like to dance is wrong! he even said it was about him challengeing himself to get up there and do it.
Didn't it rained inside the studio? LOL!!!
lmaooo at the comment "his high" i like the way he explains himself but i know people watch the show and they know the kind of level and standard of dance involved. he is a good sport though xD musta been high
I'm still waiting for the dancing...... Might be here for awhile
and then...chief Hippy made the clouds above......make rain for our people
I like his locks, that's about it.
Where the hell was the popping and locking?
I saw No Hip Hop.
I saw No Popping.
I saw no Modern day Dancing... At All. LOL
WHAT S UP WITH THOSE PANTS!!
i had to scroll straight to the comments cause it was so painful to watch
lmao.. he just wanted to have his few seconds on tv let the poor crazy guy live
What is the song? 😂
I'm behind you on that, mate
so there is such a thing as being TO hippy
third judge is like wtf
I liked him.
His hair is longer than mine
Is this a Parker Posey character?
it's Spooky - Belong (use Shazam or SoundHound)
auachiuaua Spooky - Belong (involver edit)
umm exactly where was the popping in that?
He reminds me of Alex James somehow
I didn't know there still were hippies.
3:13 he was trying to kill him w his mind!
That hippie has no soul
How the hell is that popping?
From 0.49-1.00 - this is fluid...
@keithdavelaar89 i dont see any popping and locking, or his symmetry and his performance art. -.-
Lil C's face >>> -____-
I feel sorry for the helpless little tape having to play music for that dancing...
that replay was frigid hilarious
lil' c is like um that is not buck.
