    The silver TE’s look super classy. Maybe more people will start running them in silver now 🤔

    TE are done to death but this is a time I really enjoy them. The five spoke Enkei you had on there is a timeless design as well.

    Good info, I bought a LHD FD recently, have to replace the engine, convert to single turbo, repaint the body, coilovers, brakes, wheels and tires. Huge project haha Aiming for around 500hp but I can't wait to get it all finished

    in europe, the fastest semi slick tyres are dunlop direzza's. really expensive but miles better then the rest. on second place the nankang ar-1 is listed. would love you to try these out and give your oponion on it.
    everybody at the nurburgring uses direzzas and swear by them.

    I feel you on the concave face dilemma! Have run both RPF1s and TE37s on my FTO in the same size too (17x9 +22). Can kiiinda squeeze a 235/45 if you're not too low, but stock is 205/50R16, so it is quite a bit off. I liked the bronze TEs against the Mazda liquid silver I had it painted, but big arches makes them look small, so I upped to some 18" SLs (contemplated a gold or the titanium silver similar to your powdercoat, but buying them new I could only justify spending so much 😅)

      Thanks! Do you have any rubbing with the arches/liners? I’m buying a new set of wheels and when I check the specs of the te37’s with a fd whee fit spreadsheet it suggests that the fit wouldn’t work. My fd is stock except for ohlins dfv’s and don’t want to roll the arches. Great channel btw!

      @@TheSlipAngle Quinn , when you switched over the Tc4’s onto the rx8, did you also switch over the TPMS sensors? Just got a new set of enkeis and don’t know if they accept the old TpMS sensor valve stems. I would rather use the valve stems that came with the new wheels but the TPMS light will come on the cluster

    Did the TE37 work on the FD RX-7? Did you have any issues with rubbing in the wheel well? or any other issues? I am considering going with the same wheels, size, and offset. Thank you

    • @TheSlipAngle
      @TheSlipAngle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @TheSlipAngle
      @TheSlipAngle  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't off hand. Lug pattern is the same and the width/offset should work but not sure about the PCD.

  • @KeepInMotion123

    I need help 😓have a 96 rx7 18x8.5 in front 18x11 in rear! What tire size will work well???

    • @TheSlipAngle
      @TheSlipAngle  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That big of a stagger will just induce understeer. I think the car feels good with a 9 to 9.5 width and a 235 to 255 max wide tire. Anything bigger and the car starts to lose it's nimble spirited feeling. If you are trying to win races than that's different, but for driving pleasure, those sizes are good.

  • @johncat9261

    Does anyone know whats the best setup for offsets for 17's on a stock Rx7, maybe dropping in lower in the future ?

    • @TheSlipAngle
      @TheSlipAngle  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      9 with a +30MM or 9.5 with a +38MM. The wider the wheel, the worse the car drives IMO.

  • @93rx741689
    @93rx741689 ปีที่แล้ว

  • @rexseven93

    I have a '93 FD. I'm planning to get some NS-M01 wheels in silver, 17"x8" with 35 offset. They are similar to yours, but 5 spoke. I'm deciding between 235 45 and 245 40 tires. Simple street use, no track use. Have any thoughts on this? Does it matter?

    • @TheSlipAngle
      @TheSlipAngle  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Put it into a gearing calculator and go with the one that you feel matches the gearing you desire. 235/45 sounds tall.

    • @rexseven93
      @rexseven93 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheSlipAngle It's about 1/2" extra OD. Wheel seller recommends, but I prefer the 245 40. I'm going with that.

      @@TheSlipAngle great! Thanks for responding. I just put some on my miata. To fill in the gaps 215/45/16. I like the grip i haven't aligned them. Went FM2 Suspension the same time. Barely slower and burns more gas. But i live how they tell the rain to go FckOff lol. And the tread wear is A+.
