I realize this is a rather late reply, but I felt like someone should point out that the guns coming out immediately, then closing up and coming back out again when you enter right after leaving is completely the expected behavior for the configuration in the video. It won't happen if you stay out for longer than the delay. The behavior happens because the delay signal is still 1 when you go back in, which momentarily meas ID ON will be true, then the delay signal will drop to 0 for the time that you spent outside, during which the internal defense turrets close up and then the delay catches that you came back in and the activate again. In practice, people rarely do that, so it works as intended in actual situations. to make it work as intended, even when someone enters right after leaving, you'd need an additional invert circuit that takes the delay signal and feeds that into a NAND circuit with the lights signal to detect the early return case. The NAND signal will be 0 in such a case, which can be fed into a 4x AND circuit with the two other signals to prevent the unwanted behauviour. That being said, given that this rarely happens in practice, the additional complexity is probably not worth it here. However, with longer delays and other use cases, you might want it. Edit: You could also try to somehow modify the delay signal to only be delayed when someone enters the hangar, but not delayed when they leave. But I'll leave how to accomplish that as an exercise for whoever is interested. That might result in a slightly easier to understand signal configuration.
Hell YEAH!! When you were covering the hanger bay doors, I felt like you were talking to me. This was exactly what I was looking for. I commented on this on your last video. THANK YOU!
I like it. Sure, you could have edited out the mistakes, as some have said, but I think the troubleshooting actually added to the instructional value. Thanks for the vid!!
Thank you this helped me a lot in my game. Right now playing solo to get used to all the changes and more focusing on building my own stuff. So I will keep a eye out for your videos.
I just finished watching someone using the pressure plates in regards of saving energy on your devices that they only active when you're standing on them which is a great way to save energy if you're trying to conserve using solar power But this is awesome to see a lot of the other implementation involved nice work thank you
Now... Thats a tutorial! As you saw even you got it mixed up a bit in the circuits:) Great job thanks. There is a bug with turrets and weapons collapsing when you place them the first time, it happen to me also. The internal turrets bug is maybe caused because is the same signal as an input and delayed.
A bit late to the game here and I know there have been some updates, but since you have the thrusters auto-grouped anyhow, it would make sense to select them from the Device menu to add them to your signal groups. This would avoid the trouble with missing thrusters in the circuits.
Doh.... I was messing around some more when I realized/discovered the Custom toggles are for Group control of Devices and nothing to do with Signal Logic ( which is where ive been looking ... ) Just in case anyone else stumbles across this and also does not know. 😅
Thinking that you could set up sensor's far enough way from the base that when you get base attacks from foot soldiers they would activate sensors which would open doors revealing the auto turrets curious though how far you can go with that type of signal to attack drones keeping your weapons from being attacked right away but only when they come in close proximity. Mainly used for better accuracy when they're close range
They are supposed to check if the light come on. That is what they seem to be doing when they pop out. The light come on they pop back in and then the delay activates them to pop out again??? Over lapping command???
Unfortunately, you cannot (yet) set signals to quick slots. For set-reset, assign one signal to the set, one to reset, and one to output. Link the device you want to use to the output signal. The "set" signal turns it on, and the "reset" turns it off, as long as the "set" signal is not still active.
Another thing I was thinking using motion sensors to prevent your turrets from Being shot at a distance they have to get in close proximity which would activate them I would build out a single row of blocks with the sensor underground will it still detect?
Brilliant video except. Dude, edit the mistakes OUT of your videos and post the clear and concise versions of your examples . Else you are confusing the shite out of ppl trying to learn or worse loose their interest. And probably plan the video and your content so it is less rambling.
They should implement the law of physics that regulates this : a light bulb would consume 8x more Watt when turning up than if they were operating normally.
I got just the opposite reaction sorry. Your indecisiveness plays through the whole video. And your failures are caught every turn of the show when you cry "this is weird" and should not be happening, and "OK that's weird" and "let's just forget that part" duh and duh again I say do you know about editing the things out so you don't have to take all humility to town with you?
Dude! No one is perfect! Grow so Humility and STFU! Ever hear "If you have nothing good to say?" I guess NOT! Very rude! Do your own video and keep your BS to yourself...Major Tom! I am a REAL MAJOR! Not a Want a be
@@glenblanton2969 he is right though. This video could have been 15 minutes instead of an hour. Still a good video, but nothing to come back for. Editing would be nice.
I applaud the effort to make a comprehensive guide but it really should be named "lets learn together"
this was so absolutely painful to watch..
This is much better than most videos on Empyrion

Thanks - just what the doctor ordered. Excellent presentation. I have a much better understanding now.
I just came across this and it's great, thanks for putting it together!

for years ive not been able toget my head around this. you really made it easy :) cheers bud awesome tutorial

I have trouble sleeping but 20 minutes sedated me nicely
Thank you from a curious newish player. Now I know what's going on a bit more.

On the control panel, what are the Custom toggles for? the ones between General and Signals ?

I wonder if it's possible to hook the motion sensor's up from a distance to your bases Shields that way you're not using the energy until it is needed

Was hoping for some more examples with different types of circuits
You would be good at 3 way switches and 4 way switches. 1 hot 1 neutral 1 ground 2 switch legs and 2 travelers.
How do i use the set - reset gate? and can i set the signals to shortcut 1-9?

did they remove motion sensors?
No. I still use them.
@@KnowItAllDM ah. I didn't realise you had to right click and could select them when u have that switch equipped.
May be something TH-cam screwed up after the fact, but all 4 of your links down below just restart the video at the beginning.
what if we dont have a numpad?
If you have a game controller you can use that in place of the number pad. I play using both keyboard and controller simultaneously.
@@AaronGallant ew no thank you

DYSLEXICS UNTIE on the HANG RRRR'SSS It happens to everyone lol
Your tutorials would be better if you'd edit out the screwups and just show the how-to part.

Its Sci fi. I'll let it slide.

Dude a bad video on this info. But if I make one suggestion. Slow down in explaining it because you are going to fast and creating a lot of confusion.
