“Hope” My Fairfield Dollhouse

The Fairfield was a pretty cool kit! Meet my house Hope. Boy did we come a long way. Back story - This house was shipped to me without a foundation in the kit. I built this house when I lived out of my car in California. (Wouldn’t change the experience for anything in the world 🙂 great memories) I’d work on it not only in my car but also at the beach and in the park and even at my friends house and at my job. I was determined to complete it. I can recall a time I lost this house along with my car but got them both back. San Fran, Oxnard, and Santa Monica Ca, gave us so many visitors and admirers. The real reason I call this house Hope is because as I worked on it everyday, I hoped to have a real house like this. I don’t think I’ll ever part with Hope because the value to me is priceless. This is my foundation.

This is the one I was originally looking to get, but I went with the Pierce instead. I've added rooms to the original floorplan. I am still in the assembly phase, but it is very nearly complete. It has been an enjoyable experience. I have another waiting on me when this one is finished.
Great job on yours! Can't wait to see it furnished.

Where the heck do you live !? Beautiful views, not just of your dollhouse build, but of the place you built it in. Fantastic. I thought I was the only one who had discovered how USEFUL paint stir sticks are. But I did notice that you used some for the base. One can even build stuff with them. Beautiful house and location.
