Like what you did with the place especially the wallpaper, crown molding and wainscoting. Built one of these about 40 years ago for my daughter (same color too) and my big mistake was using hot glue to put it together cause after my daughter got married and moved into her own home they put it in the attic to retrieve later after moving in was organized and when they went to get it from the attic the hot glue melted and the thing basically fell apart in their hands. Now I have a great grand-daughter and plan on building (better glue) one for her in the not too distant future and you’ve given me a lot of new ideas for decorating. Thanks for the video and the ideas…
Awesome job on this house! I personally prefer the battery operated lights. They are easily applied with no wires. Nothing is more frustrating than wiring a house, so kudos to you.
Your Beacon Hill house looks Terrific, and I love every modification you've made to the kit but most especially the addition of WINTER snow on the roof and ornamentation on the porch exterior really appeals to me- WELL DONE Sir!
Well done Lewis! I built this doll house for my daughters 35 years ago. Our grandkids enjoy it today. Your attention to detail and execution are superior.
Very nice work. It took me 4 months to put my beacon hill together, you’re right dorms were a b**** . I actually put little white rocks around my foundation.
Your doll house is beautiful I love it is the snow removable when it's not Christmas time you just have it lean up there cuz that would be neat to do just remove it put it away and then put some mouse out one winter time is over and stuff and I saw you build houses for other people too houses from hobby lobby in the past cuz you do love to build doll houses that I do see thank you for sharing your house with us
I totally Agree So many people have the EXACT Same Dollhouse! I'm looking forward to see what you Design.Variety is needed. I am have 2 dollhouses. Original my father purchased 40 years ago very rare front opening style. The second house i bought from an older lady that had had it custom made. I have been considering buying a 3rd one, I had considered buying 2 and bashing/tricking out both to create something original because the selection out here is slim. Help we need YOU!
Beautiful work! I'm brand new to the hobby (just starting an Orchid) and stumbled on this vid looking for tips on assembly. Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to exploring the rest of the channel!
I am working on an old Beacon Hill kit (circa 80's I think) and I have been disappointed with the quality of the kit. My kit did not have siding or shingles. Also the wood has either changed with age or is of lesser quality than other kits I have made. (This is my 7th house). It's also the first slot and tab construction. All that being said, I'm enjoying the construction and think it will be a beautiful house
Id love to try this but i have a 19 month old granddaughter and i know shed get ahold of it. If she were older it would be ok, but at this age shed wreck it.
The winter styling looks great with the blue house color. Too many go nuts with the red and green!
