Every team I have been involved with since I was 15 (I'm 46 now) has had an alcohol problem, except for coaching little kids. Every team I have been close enough to observe has also had problems with alcohol. I think the problems that hockey is experiencing is in part because of the alcohol culture in hockey. A large percentage of hockey's economy comes from big alcohol selling corporations. As long as hockey relies on this economic partnership, nothing will change, and fans will continue to turn a blind eye because they fear losing hockey altogether. Unless the government were to step in and run hockey, but we can't even entertain that idea because..... SOCIALISM!!!!! THE GOVERNMENT WILL EAT YOUR CHILDREN AND LAUGH ABOUT IT!

Two videos on the same day. One with over 34,000 views 5 days later and this one with 2 comments and only 165 views.
I can see the NHL not standing behind the players involved. It wasn't an incident from when the players played in the NHL and there are so many talented players that aren't tainted with a scandal coming up to replace them.
I think the young boys were seeing a willing girl who they took time to get on camera saying she was okay with it thinking that they had covered their butts. Problem is everyone is intoxicated and sorry to say no girl is ever going to walk away from a gang bang thinking that it was fantastic. The girl probably thought she had a chance at more with the one player and then after everything (and everyone) realized that she was used and that she would never have a chance to make the leap from puck bunny to trophy wife.
The mom leveraged the situation and helped her daughter to make the most of the situation. I feel sad for them as now that the payment scandal has come out and the charges are being made by the police the daughter has to live through it all again.
Imagine making a horrible mistake and then having to relive the whole experience over and over again as it is everywhere in the news and again when it goes to court. Not fun.
The victims of Paul Bernardo have to retestify every time he gets to have a parole hearing. They have never been able to heal their whole lives from the trauma they inccurred.
I hope for the sake of everyone involved that they try to deal with the situation justly and look at all the evidence.
I hope that going forward culture changes for the better. Sadly though with the prevalence of things like P**n Hub I doubt that is the case.
How do they then protect the players from this in the future? I think the days of victory hook-ups will be over unless they are utilizing a paid professional.
