Really great list of games here, I’m proud to say I own a few (Silent Hill 3, Silent Hill Shattered Memories, Futurama, Blood Will Tell, Haunting Ground, all in PAL and I also have an NTSC-US copy of Rule of Rose) looking forward to expanding my PS2 collection even further, Kuon and Samurai Western look like great fun! Although I live in the UK so I guess the prices differ greatly for some titles.

I had no idea the games I once loved would be so expensive nowadays, then again it shouldn't surprise me. I had Silent Hill 3 quite a few times in my teens, got it for the last time years back thankfully brand new so now realising how rare it is I've put it in a plaatic case. Haunting Ground was something I hadn't known about until a couple years back. I'm a big Voth Jill Resident Evil fan and people were saying how Fiona looked so much like Jill in RE5. So I looked for it for it and was super surprised I could get it for £30 or £40 brand new. I got so lucky cause its about £150 now. I'm so mad with myself for getting rid of Obscure 1 and 2, those games scared the shit out of me and still do. Played it with my sisters 😂. I really do prefer 2 over 1, but the characters are all set to die and it annoys me greatly.

blood will tell is based on a manga called "Dororo" and it is one of the best anime's i watched so far i don't really read manga but the anime was lit i really recommend anyone to watch it 🔥
I am a huge video game fanboy . I loved the ps2 . Ps2 is the best Playstation system of all times in my opinion . I hate all these online games and how you have to be online to even play games . I know that you can play in offline mode but you are still somehow online . I can not say I hate all the next gen consoles and features . I love being able to chat and play games with friends . I love that you mentioned Shadow hearts theres actually a game that came before it that is in the same series called koudelka and I would pay good money to see it remastered for ps5 or xbox series x or even Nintendo switch and steam is another option Haunting ground was okay. I didn't get to beat it but the parts that I did play were okay . Shadow Hearts Covenant was my favorite out of the series of shadow hearts games . I can not find anything in the next gen era from the same company .
Two others I own that go for a hefty price and are worth mentioning would be Wild Arms Atler Code F and Wild Arms 5. Both good games and go for a pretty penny.

Where are you getting these prices? I own Haunting Ground, Rule of Rose, and Kuon (which I’m playing now which brought me here) and paid nowhere near these prices for these games. I bought Kuon in 2019 for under $200.
Sucks these are rare and expensive. Also happy emulators are available and I can use my PlayStation controller to play the games. Playing Haunting Ground on my phone 😅
PS2 collecting is always fun but it is getting pricey. I don't know if these are particularly rare or not, but some of my more valuable sets in my own PS2 collection would be the Fatal Frame Trilogy, all of the Armored Core 3 spinoff games (Silent Line, Last Raven, Nexus and Ninebreaker) and my complete NTSC shmup collection which consists of Gradius III & IV, Gradius V, Silpheed the Lost Planet, R-Type Final, Castle Shikigami 2, Mobile Light Force and Raiden III. Some of these aren't particularly expensive, but you don't see them too often let alone all together as a set. I also just recently got my PS2 hard modded with a chip so I may start diving into collecting shmups from NTSC-J and PAL regions that never came to the states, but those can run for quite a bit of money so I'm going to bide my time for now. PS2 horror game collecting is also quite difficult, most will run well over $200 with others hovering around the $100 to $150 range. There are some less expensive outliers that are well worth your time though such as The Thing and Siren.
Very nice with the armored core and shoot em up sets!! I think those will eventually be worth a ton if you hold onto them! And as far as the horror games go, yes they are mostly very expensive I have most of them so I will be in the future making a video to showcase every horror game for ps2 I think there are around 45 so I need maybe 10 more to complete that set.

I've been trying to get all of them, the only ones I'm currently missing are the PS1 titles but I'm in no rush. Recently, after the announcement of Armored Core 6, all of the older games whether they're on Xbox 360, PS3, PS2 and PS1 have skyrocketed in price well into the triple digits for complete NTSC examples. It's pretty absurd if I'm being honest, you can't even find an NTSC listing for Ninebreaker as of the time of this comment except a single sealed and graded one which means nothing to those who want to play these games. I was looking over everything out of curiosity then randomly remembered this old comment reply you made. Thought that might give you a good laugh or perhaps a smile on your face knowing you called out the future. I am so glad that I bought these titles when they were still $20-$30 apiece back in the day and I'm even happier to still have all of them in my collection, I'll definitely cherish them while I can.

Yeah, Ninebreaker has always been the harder of the AC3 spinoffs to find. Fun fact: it was the last game I got to complete my AC series because I spent so long waiting for a good deal to pop up. The one I found was around $60 when they regularly went for $90+ those years ago and I scooped it up immediately when the listing popped up. It has been a coveted part of my AC or even my mech games collection in general ever since. Normally I'd suggest waiting on picking up any of the AC games right now since their getting pricier every day, but with Ninebreaker I'd go for it regardless due to it being so damn hard to find. Only if you can find one for a low enough price though. Ninebreaker is admittedly the weakest in gameplay for the AC3 spinoffs, so it usually ends up being more of an expensive home decor piece than a game that's regularly played. I have it because I'm a big mech fan and I wanted to own all the AC titles. The best AC3 title is Silent Line although Last Raven is also pretty good story wise.
The retro games are so expensive now. I’m old I remember buying all those games and just sold them for next to nothing. Since achievements have been implemented into games, that now gives me a reason to play. But looking back at these old games the grafix are aweful. Lol
I would love to own that game again unfortunately the cheapest I'm seeing it for is 300 dollars and up but the 2nd one is only 20 dollars on ebay so i might get the 2nd one i hope it's as good as the first one. I love horror games.
I paid 120.00 for my copy of silent hill 3 brand new sealed. I also bought silent hill 1 for over 100 dollars and silent hill 2 for 150.00 also bought RE 2 and 3 for around 75.00 each also fatal frame 1 2 and 3 were pretty cheap i think 45 to 50 a piece. I used to own haunting ground and rule of rose but they were stolen so I'm currently trying to find those 2 without paying 500 dollars a game lol. Games like those are expensive af.

Why is futurama so expensive, I mean currently in the UK you can buy for £28 and that's a few years after making this video, did it have a low print run? It's a huge TV show and the US is huge and has great distributors so seems very expensive, I bet some collectors buy a pal UK ps2 and get their games cheaper, xenosaga 2 currently £35 in the UK, surely there's more copies in the US?
Just checked Ebay, Amazon, price charting and Mercari and cant find a copy of Obscure for less the $230 on any normal market places. Unless you are talking about Obscure the aftermath? Or its possible that you just got really lucky. Either way I made this video about 10 months ago so these prices will change. My method for pricing in these videos is checking the sold listings and current lowest priced listings also cross checking with price charting. If you know a better way I'd be happy to hear it so I can cover my bases as best as I can.
Rather than paying hundreds, i highly recommend learn Japanese. You can play most of these games for 10$ a piece AND you'l be surprised to find out how simplified the dialogues are translated in english 😅 Japanee game prices: Samurai Western is 3$. Blood will tell is 10$ at most. Rule of Rose I got brand new sealed at 60$ in 2016 😅. Really, recommend you learn Japanese especially if you like JRPG.
Do you understand why the game is rare not so many copies were made ? It’s cause the game sucks it’s not very fun to play it won’t sell so many copies games like Pac-Man are fun games everyone wants it so Pac-Man isn’t rare if Pac-Man was rare game you would makes millions of dollars on selling Pac-Man if there was only 10 copies in the world cause it’s a great game but it’s no rare it keeps going on every new consoles that gets released the PS5 and xbox series X will be getting a Pac-Man museum + very soon the PS2 is dead no one’s going to pay hundreds of dollars for a PS2 game that console has problems you play a lot of PS1 games it might damage your PS2 won’t read all PS1 games won’t read some PS2 games like marvel vs capcom 2 new age of heroes

The retro games are so expensive now. I’m old I remember buying all those games and just sold them for next to nothing. Since achievements have been implemented into games, that now gives me a reason to play. But looking back at these old games the grafix are aweful. Lol

I paid 120.00 for my copy of silent hill 3 brand new sealed. I also bought silent hill 1 for over 100 dollars and silent hill 2 for 150.00 also bought RE 2 and 3 for around 75.00 each also fatal frame 1 2 and 3 were pretty cheap i think 45 to 50 a piece. I used to own haunting ground and rule of rose but they were stolen so I'm currently trying to find those 2 without paying 500 dollars a game lol. Games like those are expensive af.

Why is futurama so expensive, I mean currently in the UK you can buy for £28 and that's a few years after making this video, did it have a low print run? It's a huge TV show and the US is huge and has great distributors so seems very expensive, I bet some collectors buy a pal UK ps2 and get their games cheaper, xenosaga 2 currently £35 in the UK, surely there's more copies in the US?

Just checked Ebay, Amazon, price charting and Mercari and cant find a copy of Obscure for less the $230 on any normal market places. Unless you are talking about Obscure the aftermath? Or its possible that you just got really lucky. Either way I made this video about 10 months ago so these prices will change. My method for pricing in these videos is checking the sold listings and current lowest priced listings also cross checking with price charting. If you know a better way I'd be happy to hear it so I can cover my bases as best as I can.

Rather than paying hundreds, i highly recommend learn Japanese. You can play most of these games for 10$ a piece AND you'l be surprised to find out how simplified the dialogues are translated in english 😅 Japanee game prices: Samurai Western is 3$. Blood will tell is 10$ at most. Rule of Rose I got brand new sealed at 60$ in 2016 😅. Really, recommend you learn Japanese especially if you like JRPG.

It’s cause the game sucks it’s not very fun to play it won’t sell so many copies games like Pac-Man are fun games everyone wants it so Pac-Man isn’t rare if Pac-Man was rare game you would makes millions of dollars on selling Pac-Man if there was only 10 copies in the world cause it’s a great game but it’s no rare it keeps going on every new consoles that gets released the PS5 and xbox series X will be getting a Pac-Man museum + very soon the PS2 is dead no one’s going to pay hundreds of dollars for a PS2 game that console has problems you play a lot of PS1 games it might damage your PS2 won’t read all PS1 games won’t read some PS2 games like marvel vs capcom 2 new age of heroes
