Randy would be great if you could do a vid on using calcium reactor with apex trident and how to adjust with Dos or use small amounts of two part to keep parameters stable . This vid gave me great info . 👍👍👍
You may be able to do some creative coding with virtual outlets, but 1.1 ml doser control based on Trident results isn't a feature that is ready to go out of the box.
I have the trident and dos now for my reefer. Right now I’m trying to set the up so they simultaneously work together. Do you have a video on just this ?
We don't have a video specifically on the Trident controlled dosing, but that's a great idea for a future episode. In the meantime, this is a good walk through from Neptune Systems on how it works and how to set it up. www.neptunesystems.com/getstarted/trident/tridentdos/
The amount of two part you dose will depend on the brand of two part and your tank's demand. If you're using the BRS brand two part, check out the video below to help determine your initial dose. th-cam.com/video/MeY0UsJ6ezU/w-d-xo.html
Thanks Randy. As a potential new Apex owner I found this very ‘eye-opening’. I wasn’t aware Apex only has a ‘dosing task function’ for the DOS. That’s surprising and a bit disappointing. My Kamoer X1 has this...and I was thinking I’d be able utilize Apex Task for smart dosing intervals once a got and Apex while using my BRS Dosers.
I have to say that I agree and I hope that in the near future we see more and more Task Functions becoming available for common tasks just like these. I don't doubt that the Neptune Team has their eyes and ears open on this type of feedback and I certainly hope they take it into consideration for improvements. -Randy
This hobby turning into relying on controls. What happen to doing things that makes the hobby fun. Yes great when on vacation. But high tech is becoming more than having the tank.
I think the question might be, is that a bad thing? When I started the hobby most people didn't make it past 12 months. Now 5 years is pretty common. I believe advancements in technology is part of that. Specifically real-time notifications of failures rather than just hoping we are around to notice. This is just one of the available paths to a sucessfull tank.
@@BRStv Their are things that really benefit with helping the success and keep the tank more stable. I agree. I can’t wait for the first automatic glass cleaner. Been in hobby 42 years and today most of new equipment has it own controls. Can be as simple as keeping a betta without any piece of equipment . I just seeing it becoming more of electronica hobby than the hobby itself.
Hey team, this playlist is missing, can you check in on getting it back up?

Does the APEX Classic not have the Probe Alarm function?.... not seeing it in mine at all.
Are you able to control a 1.1 doser based on the results of the trident test? Like if alk

How do you like it after all this time?
How do you setup a high level low level sensor for top off reservoir that auto fill using the apex?
Here you go! Randy covers this exact setup in this video timestamp right here. th-cam.com/video/EXHl05ncLJg/w-d-xo.html
Best channel on TH-cam! Can I get some radians I'm almost done setting up my tank and need lights
Ok but how do you know the "amount" to tell the DOS to add over a specific time?

How comes no one uses condensation trays these days?
Wish I could afford an Apex. 🙁
Thanks Randy.
