So true. When a person feels helpless, he has a huge expectation of help from someone.
His fear reaches at epitome, that the person expect help even from a fictional entity which doesn't exist. The mind becomes so fragile that it becomes delusional and starts believing in things that will comfort him from his fear.
Most of the religious people ("dharam ke thekedaar") use this vulnerability of human mind as an opportunity to rule over the weak minded people, by making religion as a tool to control the subjects.
Truth to be told; even those false godmen in the power knows, God doesn't exist.
Its all about FEELING vs FACT.
Emotions-driven person hi God ko real manega, lekin jo common sense ko manta ho, Fact-analysis krta ho...aisa vyakti kisi bhi keemat pe God ko NAHI maan skta.
FACT ko sirf kuch minimum words me btaya jata hai, smjhaya nhi jata. Aastik log God ko smjhane lg jate hn.

That is because of programming since birth.. nothing to worry about as long as you are aware.

A hidden concept of "potential difference " is functioning behind it.
(1) Whenever we feel highly energetic, we are lying at the higher-potential side, i.e., we don't need any help.
Similarly, whenever we feel very low, we lying to the lower-potential side..... and hence, here a need is created.
(2) Once a need is created, multiple thoughts and figures provided by the surrounding society then acquire that place of "higher-potential". Which social figure has the highest potential? Obviously.....the omnipotent GOD.
(4) In this way, we always make fool ourself in the name of GOD.
But don't worry, it is very very natural and obvious. Even i think every atheist also feel the same......the reason behind it is the practice given by the society .
Its all about FEELING vs FACT. Always focus on the Fact, not the feeling.

3:41 Most of the religious rituals, celebrations and customs are man-made. The believe in itself do not cost time and money. But one can not simply belief as there is no empirical evidence as people demand. Most of the time people address their greed, fear and societal pressure in adhering to time consuming unnecessary rituals they associate with their religion.

Actually, sabse bada problem yeh hai woh logic se ke, even if God exists, he would understand under what circumstances you refused to have faith in him, and he would understand that he has left no such undeniable evidence for people to believe in God beyond a doubt and he would also understand that it's him who decided who should be born in which religion which means 90% people born in a religion tend to die in that religion and blindly believe in all kinds of stories his birth religion propagates

Not related to Pascal's wager but believing in the Indian concepts of God is extremely beneficial for improving one's social and economic conditions because India is deeply involved in community based work and if you want to grow your business/profession it's actually beneficial to show a facade of believing in order to grow.

@@vimoh yeah, I keep forgetting my own privilege. Of course it wasn't a general statement but a common facade might be the reason dominant castes are so successful and rich. It's almost like they are Atheists themselves, just don't admit it publicly.
I would say that question is a little different from getting to the truth of the matter. You can believe that believing in god is important to keep our communities together. But whether or not God exists, is it completely different question.
